A list of puns related to "Intricate Unit"
TL;DR: Big banks like HSBC led the charge in helping al Qaeda but no peeps about that from MSM. Also Michael Pachter's Wedbush has had nearly 17-20 million in fines since 2000.
Edit 1: added at the bottom: Did you know that al Qaeda files expense reports, has HR, its own bylaws, and Mexican drug cartels have lengthy subcontractor agreements & insurance policies for cocaine shipments? How do you think big banks like HSBC are able to work with so many fellow criminals?
Big banks, like...pretty much all the time.
Just like many of you I was pissed about the terrorism BS being spouted about our favorite stock. So decided to do some digging. Guess al Qaeda isn't really known for being on OpenSea (maybe not art fans?) but guess what they are a fan of? Big banks.
But heyyyyy if upstanding citizens like Pachter are to be believed, it's only GME that would be that evil no? The big banks wouldn't do that? Right...big banks, not unlike, oh I don't know HSBC:

Well, I'm back again with a fresh dose of public humiliation to administer on my day off. In this post we will examine the history of the American Heart Association, how they accumulated $1,437,669,656 in assets, and what their priorities are (hint: it's not saving lives).
Objectively, the AHA does a lot of good in the world. But they also waste a FUCK TON of money. Many of you have seen their October guidance recommending nurses sacrifice themselves to start early CPR on COVID patients before putting on PPE. I think it's important that we critically examine the history and intentions of these institutions that are failing us (and our patients) on such a remarkable level.
The AHA was created in 1924 by six cardiologists to consolidate research in the budding field of cardiology in an era of βalmost unbelievable ignorance.β This was an important and promising evolution: finally the multitude of small research organizations scattered across America had united into a contiguous blob with the legitimacy to establish guidelines and promote cutting edge data. Huzzah!
The AHA remained small until the 1940s when it was selected for support by Procter & Gamble from a list of applicant charities. P&G had just invented the artificial trans-fat margarine Crisco, and were on the hunt of a medical organization they could bribe donate to in return for an organized PR beatdown of Crisco's competition -- animals fats. The head of this PR campaign was none other than the renowned piece of shit, tobacco propagandist Edward Bernays.
P&G paid the AHA $1.5 million ($30 million dollars in today's money) and the AHA began pushing trans fats as a heart-healthy alternative to animal fats. From Wikipedia:
>We now know that the artificial trans-fat from partially hydrogenated vegetable oils are detrimental to human health.

On the left was a Rigellian in a full body leotard, falsies on her chest to simulate breasts, a long tail with an arrowhead end flowing behind her. She was painted completely bright red to match the leotard, the 'nipples' were painted dark red, the same with the vee between her legs. She had long dark red hair that whipped around her as she twirled and spun toward the second figure. That figure, another Rigellian, was dressed in a Confederate Armed Services Army Officer's dress uniform, black hair cut short, her legs and arms and half of her face painted bright chrome.
"What wilt thou give unto mine hand?" the red Rigellian asked, twirling in place and laughing with a booming voice. "What sin and vice shalt thou confess unto me, oh man?"
The uniformed one raised her face to the spotlight as she stood to her full height, standing on one leg. Gentle illumination came up behind the uniformed ones, showing the shadowy figures of Rigellian females dressed in dark and torn Confederate Officer uniforms that danced slowly in unison with graceful movements.
"All that thy asks of me, oh Evil One," the chrome painted one sang. "For there is still a battle to be won!"
"Wilt thou consign unto me thine immortal soul?" the red painted on asked, prancing about the chrome painted one.
"I shalt willingly pay thy toll," the chrome one said. "If thou shalt save the dead soldiers of mine sin."
"Then willing sealed and accepted be our bargain!" the red one laughed.
Smoke billowed up and the two dancers vanished.
The slowly moving dancers, too dimly lit to see clearly, stared out of the darkness with red eyes as they slowly came to stop and stood swaying, the clacking sound of chattering teeth the only sound to be heard.
The curtain came down as the orchestra slowly went silent, the last sounds the slow tapping of a steel drum.

A baby girl was born shortly after midnight. I wasnβt the motherβs doctor, but I was the attending on the same labor and delivery floor. Even though the newbornβs Apgar was good, she was clearly in great distress. The on-call pediatrician raced the child to the NICU. Twenty minutes later, I was called to consult.
βYou want me to check on the mother?β Iβm an obstetrician. I care for pregnant women and deliver their babies. Once theyβre born, the infants become pediatric patients. Why was I being called into the neonatal unit?
βNo, Dr. Kaizen. Itβs the child. Please come to the NICU.β I heard panic creeping into my colleagueβs voice.
The baby lay in a NICU incubator, screaming. The nursing staff stood at a distance. None of them were looking at the child. They stared at the floor, or the far wall, or at me. These were experienced neonatal ICU nurses. They had dealt with every horrible condition that could possibly result from birth. But whatever was in the incubator had rattled them.
βHow is this an obstetrics case?β
The pediatrician gestured to the incubator. βPlease examine the patient, Dr. Kaizen, and tell me what you think.β
The baby girl looked like a healthy birthweight baby β eight pounds or so. But her abdomen was terribly distended. She certainly had a good reason for screaming.
I gently palpated the girlβs bulging belly, expecting to feel signs of fluid or gas. I didnβt. Instead, I felt an enlarged uterus. The fundus was near the infantβs sternum. I gently squeezed the sides of the childβs belly, feeling with my fingertips a miniature version of what I feel with my whole hands in adult patients. I placed my palm on her tiny belly. There was an almost imperceptible flutter, then something gently pushed against my hand.
I turned to the NICU staff. Their eyes were locked on me, hands holding their mouths or touching their foreheads.
I said, βthis infant is pregnant. And she is in labor.β
I did my best to remain calm, but I heard my voice crack as I spoke. Something was inside this newborn. Something had grown Inside her as she developed in the womb, and it wanted to get out. I have as much experience as the NICU nurses with the terrible effects of abnormal pregnancies. No matter what condition my patients and their fetuses had suffered from, I had never felt what I felt at that moment: fear. Fear of what was inside of this baby.

I think I can't say anything new that hasn't already been said about Crumbling Castle. It's a fucking melancholy epic of constant woe and impending doom that you can palpably feel even if you don't know a word of English. It's honestly intricate, bad-vibed psychedelic clockwork. I will never get over how this song instantly transports me every time, even though I've sat down and actively listened to it thousands of times.
And I don't think that there's ever been a time where The River (note: I love the studio version but I'm mostly talking about its live renditions because they're mostly fucking amazing) started playing and my mood didn't instantly get better and calmer. There are times where I physically feel myself melt into my chair when Stu does that sigh. And then comes that fucking B-section. I don't know what the fuck it is about it, but I've come to the realization that it's my favorite Gizz segment out of everything they've done thus far. The vibe, the fucking energy, it's off the charts. The whole song feels like you're going down a river with all its twists and turns, and right then is the point where the current fucking picks up. But at the end of the day, it's all good and fun. I can't get over how they musically incorporate the theme of the song without a single word. They do it all the time, but on The River it's so 1:1 it's insane.
And thus concludes my ted talk. These 2 songs are fucking units. Also thank god for the combo of Gizz + weed.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

You would be hard-pressed to find someone with a busier 2021 than Michelle Zauner, frontwoman of Japanese Breakfast. Over the last twelve months, Michelle has published a best-selling memoir, secured a movie deal for said memoir, soundtracked a video game, and even filmed cooking videos for H Mart. And if that wasn't enough, she also found time to release her third studio album, Jubilee, gaining near universal acclaim, a few Grammy nominations, and a tidal wave of new fans.
Michelle feels like she's "won the lottery" with the amount of attention she's been getting from Jubilee, especially as someone who's been making music for a long time. It's been her passion since she was young and she's gone through a number of bands before she was Japanese Breakfast. In high school, she was "Little Girl, Big Spoon", in university, "Post Post". More significantly, she was the founding member and vocalist of "Little Big League", an indie rock band she started after college. Little Big League did put out two albums These Are Good People. (2013) and Tropical Jinx (2014), before being put on hiatus when Michelle's mother received a terminal cancer diagnosis.
That diagnosis impacted Michelle's life in every way possible. It caused her to abandon her professional career, move back to her hometown to take care of her mom, and get married so she could at least see the wedding before she passed. The eventual death of her mother devastated her. In the wake of losing one of the most pivotal figures in her life, Michelle began to write what would later become the debut album for Japanese Breakfast. Japanese Breakfast wasn't a new b

Commander Keoneβs tune had changed considerably from his earlier βIβll be asking the questionsβ demeanor, as he intently listened to Shidaβs explanation of the events on the G.C.S. three weeks ago with an attentive expression, only interrupting her very rarely to ask for some clarifications.
All the while, his crew was still handling the process of taking Congloarchβs ship into custody, after the Salem had arrived at its location.
Finally, after Shida had finished retelling what felt like yearβs worth of events, even though they happened over the course of only a few days, the Commander cleared his throat, seemingly wanting to start his reply to her elaborations to her side of the story, however he stopped himself, remaining with an open mouth. He slowly closed it again, looking to the side in thought. Then, with a new burst of vigor, he lifted his hand, taking a deep breath to answer once again. However, as soon as it had kindled, the spark died out again, and he slowly and audibly let the air out of his lung, bringing his hand around to rub across his mouth.
Shida felt a bead of sweat run down her forehead and nervously twitched her ears, as she watched the man seemingly struggle to determine how he should handle the situation.
Finally, Commander Keone sighed, lowering his hand again and lowly mumbling,
βYouβre probably aware that all of this sounds pretty hard to believe, arenβt you?β
Something about his voice told Shida that their story was just about crazy enough that he didnβt expect they would try to make something like this up to save their skin.
βYes, we are,β Shida said, feeling her voice drift off as she spoke as the memories of the events resurfaced in full force. Quickly, she shut her eyes tightly and shook out her head, recomposing herself, before continuing with more force behind her words, βBut you donβt have to believe us right now. We have evidence James has personally collected with us. If you let us show it to you, Iβm sure it will be a thousand times more convincing than us trying to persuade you.β

Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile Community! We are back once again today to announce that the latest update has released and is now available to download. If you donβt see it yet in your Apple Store or Google Play Store then just keep checking back as the update can take some time to roll out to all regions and stores. With that said, today we are happy and excited to announce that the new season is called Season 10: Shadows Return!
This new season features the return of Templar as his search continues and with a whole line of comics, and in-game events, that allow you to explore more of his story. Templar makes his way to your hands as a new playable operator in the S10 Battle Pass as Templar - Unredeemed. Weβll have more to share about the BP and new season soon, but here is a glimpse:
One new piece of content we wanted to call out in advance, because it is a community favorite, is weapon inspection! As many of you who participated in the Public Test Build noticed, it is here and it is comprehensive. Now you can use this extra flourish in-game to enjoy (via the emote menu) and appreciate the intricate designs of your weapon, especially those high-quality weapon blueprints. Additionally, Mythic weapons will be getting unique weapon inspections in the future!
This update has plenty other than weapon inspection though, like map changes, new content, improvements, and much more! As per usual some of that will be available immediately, like balance changes, while pieces of new content, like new maps or weapons, will be released throughout the season. You can find the full patch notes below, so letβs jump in and we hope you all enjoy the update!

FINRA 21-19 is SO MUCH BIGGER than we thought. We now have to the END OF THE DAY to be heard and directly affect the magnitude and mechanics of regulations passed with FINRA 21-19. Please do not pass on this just because it is a long read- its RICH! get ready to get PISSED

============================================================================
TLDR:
-FINRA is directly responsible for the bulk of oversight failures that led to this, not the SEC
-FINRA admits their short reporting framework is useless in detail
-FINRA 21-19 brings significant reform but is still open for comment TODAY ONLY!!!
-FINRA 21-19 though broad, is very loose and is begging for comment on specifics and magnitude of enforcement
-If MOASS doesn't start before regulations decided on here go into effect, 21-19 SIGNIFICANTLY impacts ability of shorts to maneuver illegal short positions. I would call it crippling.
-Depending on how much we get our voices heard, 21-19 could make the difference between regulatory catalyst or not. Shorts have already spoken.
-21-19 potentially constitutes a lot of the reporting standards we would have thought would have been in place 20-30 years ago
-GG, regardless how you feel about him, has been telling us incessantly that regulatory bodies want to hear from investors about regulatory oversight and reform. That message is also clear in 21-19

So, in light of the upcoming OMEGABUFF to a certain railgun, I decided to take a hard look at the stats on the most analogous weapon in our own codex as a comparison, and, my lords, the results are not good. Not good at all.
To open, quoting the 7th edition Necron codex, which describes how a tachyon arrow works:
>The tachyon arrow is an intricate wrist-mounted energy caster. When activated, it transmutes a sliver of inert metal into an unstoppable thunderbolt capable of piercing the heart of a mountain, or instantly erasing a foe from existence.
Sounds like a fancy railgun to me. But, of course, given that it's small enough to be mounted on someone's wrist, the upper limits of its power are probably a great deal lower than a vehicle-mounted version. The question is whether that reduced power is still worth it.
So. To start with, an Overlord has a BS of 2+. This translates to an 83% chance to hit our target, ignoring cover mods, re-rolls, and Stalker shenanigans.
Chance of good effect: 83.3%
A Tachyon Arrow is Strength 12. The top-end damage of 6 means your best bet is to try to use this weapon to snipe Characters, so for most opponents, a S12 hit translates to another 2+, or 83% chance to wound, assuming you manage to hit and no funky Stratagems or unit rules come into play. Worse odds versus tougher enemies (Hello, Custodes).
Chance of good effect: 69.4%
You can only shoot a Tachyon Arrow once. And considering it's competing for a ranged weapon slot with an Assault 3, 1 Damage Staff of Light that can be upgraded to its 2 damage Relic version, AND the ability to take an all-important resorb, to get even a smidgen of its real value out of it your Tachyon Arrow needs to hit for at least 3 damage outright. It has a flat D6 damage, so your odds of getting the necessary damage out are 4 in 6, or 66.6%, assuming you hit and wound.
Chance of good effect: 46.2%
The trouble is, basically any character worth trying to snipe has a pretty good SV, as well as an invuln. Arrow is AP -4, so the regular SV isn't likely to be an issue, but it doesn't have an ignore invuln rule like the big cool Tau one. Assuming your average invuln in this situation is a 5+, you have a 66% chance of getting your damage through, assuming you hit, wound, and roll good damage.
Chance of good effect: 30.8%
That's it. Your one-use-only ranged weapon that can "pierce the heart of a mountain" has a measly 30% chance of hurting its target enough to be remotely

I met it⦠him⦠the husband, two years ago. I don't want to get sidetracked by the story of how I became (as the English call it) a mail-order bride. That story is harrowing and depressing enough in itself. The War left a lot of orphans on both sides of the new border. Many have similar stories to mine. I don't want to waste however long I've got by sharing experiences that differ little from any other girl whose childhood died in The War.
So many of us ended up press-ganged by hungry communities into going in the Russian men's vans. So many ended up here, or America, or Saudi Arabia, to share beds with disgusting men so families back home could keep coal in the furnace one more winter. A tale retold a thousand times over by every woman that's lived it.
Their stories have nothing mine does not. Where my story differs is the ending. None of those other daughters of The War ended up with someone like the husband. This I guarantee.
It called itself Mr. Danforth. The first thing it said to me when I arrived at Heathrow was "you are called Mrs. Danforth." It wasn't a question. It was a command. Despite what you're thinking, this didn't raise suspicion. I'd had very few conversations with men that didn't start with them barking orders. My first thoughts of the husband were that he would be a man like all those except Father. All I was thinking as he walked me to his SUV was "and so I go from the hands of one pig into the hands of another."
How wrong I was.
I didn't properly inspect the husband until I was in the back seat. I hadn't looked at him much in the airport. I'd kept my head down, staring at the floor, because that's what the Russian men told me to do. It took a few hours to reach the house. Plenty of time for me to stare at the husband in the rear-view mirror, to get a proper look at the man whose bed I'd been sold into. That was when alarm bells started ringing.
As the SUV trundled down increasingly less maintained roads, my mind was running through possible explanations for my new husband's face. It was rigid, stiff. None of the muscles of his wide brow or angular jaw twitched, clenched, or moved. At all. For three whole hours. His skin was off, too. Not literally, but something about it troubled me for reasons I couldn't place. I think it was the tone. The hues of his face were too uniform, too smooth. Almost the exact same shade of grey almost-peach all over. There was no ruddiness to his cheeks, no darkness under his eyes. For

WHY DID I KEEP IT: The deduction is unique and allows interaction through bluffing and is satisfying to get right.
The theme is delightful, with fun thematic explanations for mechanisms in the rulebook.
CRITICISM: I've had people who just do not understand how the deduction works.
The worker placement is not the draw of the game, and yet, some parts feel needlessly intricate.
I don't like apps.
PLAYS: 20+
WHY DID I KEEP IT: By keeping the rules straightforward, it makes it accessible even to non-gamers. There's constant interaction with players having to pay more to build in other players' areas and being able to leech off other players' resource gathering actions.
Gaining more cards and occupying more areas gives a growing feeling of accomplishment. While at the beginning of the game you may struggle to generate a single resource, by the end you're drowning in them!
CRITICISM: It's a by-the-numbers Euro game, just done well.

WHY DID I KEEP IT: Same reason as Gaia Project, it's similar enough to another game I love that it's almost like buying an expansion. The increased focus on negotiation puts and interesting spin on things and I like that the asymmetric powers are more involved.
Plus, there's some nice gender inclusivity, a rarity for these sort of games. There's monstrous women like The Mistress, Kyger Litor and The Mother of Monsters, a scarred woman in Sedenya, and even a genderfluid character with Androgeus.
Some won't like the breasts on display in some of the expansion content. I find it comes across quite naturally. It evokes a sense of uncanny valley with the attacking Maidstone Archer, as they're distinctly non-human, and a sense of power wi
