I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I don't know if this is the right place for this but one of my favorite guitar pedals has a less than stellar design in my opinion and I've always wanted to find an artist to refinish (probably the wrong term) it with a cool design or some artwork. Paint? Screen print? Spray paint with or without stencils?
I don't really have any ideas aside from a play on the name (it's made by Tone Bakery and the model is the Creme BruleΓ©) but rather I'm curious what those more creative than me think would be cool. This is the pedal in question: https://images.reverb.com/image/upload/s--oYbDGmB1--/f_auto,t_large/v1442513263/l8bwamr5vlvyrncqbpnf.jpg and I've replaced the knobs on it with these: https://lovemyswitches.com/oxblood-davies-1470-clone-knob-25-5mm-od/ but I still have the old ones if they fit into a design. I recently moved to Eugene and I'm loving it so something Eugene or PNW related would be cool too.
I'm not trying to pay you in "exposure" and I'm happy to pay a fair fee for quality work. That being said, it's a $100 pedal and I'm still financially recovering from a recent interstate move to Eugene so I'm not trying to go crazy.
Thanks!
Wanted to share my own walking out stories after seeing so many others drop theirs. These are older, with the earliest being around 2010.
First time was a fast food burger place. I was hired on days as a cashier. My first day, I sat on a stool and was told to watch training videos until about lunch. I just kept watching until they got me because I wasn't given instructions as to when my video training was over. MOD came to see if I had finished, and chastised me for not stopping at a certain point. I explained that I wasn't told where to stop, but I was blown off, and put on drive-thru 1, which is just taking orders and money. I got a 20 minute briefing on how to use the register, and left to fend on my own. Day two, I went straight to drive-thru 1 when I clocked in. The previous day, I had gotten a lunch break, and one 15 minute break. Day two, I got nothing. And my area was in the very back of the store, where you only end up there if you're walking specifically to drive-thru 1. I saw nobody my entire shift. I was hungry, craving a cig, and had to pee. The MOD came back to take my till at 430. She said she was sorry she couldn't give me a break, but they were short staffed, and more experienced staff got first dibs. She then offered me a $1 chicken sandwich to take home for the trouble. I didn't come back for day 3, and showed up two weeks later with my uniform in hand to pick up my paycheck.
Second was at a pizza place known for cheap, ready made pies. When I interviewed with the owner, I had already been a GM at another pizza place so I had plenty of experience. I told the owner I didn't want to be front of house. Keep me in the back, and I'm good. He agreed, and I began. A month later, he had a manager quit, and asked if I'd transfer to the store one town over to take the spot. I said I would, if I could be a BoH manager. He said that was fine. The pay was still minimum wage, but it was 40 hours, and I didn't really have to talk to customers, so I kept the job. I was just kind of thrown in to the job, minimal training, left to figure things out on my own. As time goes on in my new role, the GM kept complaining that my closing work was shoddy, but would never give me any more direction other than "Well, such and such wasn't cleaned all the way" or "You forgot to initial the deposit paperwork". I tried to fix everything, only to have new problems come up every week. After a year, the owner has a chat with me about my performance. I explained that I ne

Ohh, the Tweeting being done on SAFE before NDAA conclusion has been epic.
The Pro SAFErs have mustered seemingly every shareholder to tweet at, email and call their Senators. It has been difficult to separate those who want SAFE strictly for a perceived increase in their holdingsβ share price and those that are really concerned with employee safety. Advocates for SAFE are hosting Twitter Spaces, doing podcasts, writing op-ed pieces to get βpublicβ sentiment on their side. The effort they have mounted is substantial.
Social justice activists have lined up on opposite sides for and against SAFE. I think one of these activists has not explored how banks make commercial lending decisions.
Senators from both sides of the aisle want SAFE. It surprises me not one bit that Democratic Senators with legalized medical or adult use in their state wants SAFE. It would improve their constituentsβ businesses and safety. It is a no brainer for a Democrat to support SAFE if you look at who they want to appease. But Senator Schumer, as the majority house leader, must look beyond his state and at the national picture, and that is where this gets tangled up.
It has been intimated to me that former Colorado Senator Cory Gardner lost re-election in part because of his inability to get SAFE through the GOP lead Senate and the local cannabis businesses did not support his re-election in 2020. I think this is where the βSchumer needs SAFE for NYβ argument got its legs, rightly or wrongly.
I think every one of us is concerned with employee safety, and it is a shame that the limitations on TRANSACTIONAL banking services that would improve safety have now become entangled in what I perceive to be an issue that is akin to very large head start that early Florida limited licenses provided those companies and investors (more later).
First, let me separate TRANSACTIONAL BANKING costs from cost of BORROWED capital, or commercial loans. I think it is important to separate as folks keep talking about βbanking costsβ by lumping these items together. They are two distinctly different areas of operation in a bank. They are two different profit centers. They are guided by two different protocols as to ACCESS. They should not be lumped together.
Commercial Loans officers rarely involve themselves with the Transactional side of the operation unless a bo

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
