A list of puns related to "Indonesian invasion of East Timor"
Hi,
I am unsure if it is an error on the wiki page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indonesian_invasion_of_East_Timor but Sweden is listed as allied with China, Soviet Union and Cuba.
The only really information I can find is https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/14672715.1987.10409867 but does not provide much info.
Why would Sweden be involved if it is neutral?
The Indonesian military have decided that enough is enough, The Timorese government has refused our demands thus East-Timor must be returned to Indonesia. The Indonesian army will invade after the Indonesian diplomat to East-Timor has given eh East-Timor government an official declaration of war.

Infantry will make use of rapid attacks that will put the Timor army off guard. There is expected to be little resistance and the East-Timorese are expected to capitulate as soon as Dili is captured. The troops have been given express orders not to shoot upon Australian/korean soldiers unless fired upon by said Australian/korean soldiers. Also Indonesian soldiers have been given training in how to treat locals and are under direct orders to be nice and courteous, as the Indonesian government does not want a repeat of the first invasion in the 70βs.

... keep reading on reddit β‘It was quite popular, I remember couple of people having it, despite it being illegal. The cover of the version that I recall was white, light greyish, depicting what I assume was a map of Indonesia and East Timor.
Also, it was in English.
Full quotes: "I saw intelligence that came from hard, firm sources in East Timor. There were people being herded into school buildings and set on fire. There were people herded into fields and machine-gunned. ... We knew the place was a free-fire zone and that Suharto was given the green light by the United States to do what he did. We sent the Indonesian generals everything that you need to fight a major war against somebody who doesn't have any guns. We sent them rifles, ammunition, mortars, grenades, food, helicopters. You name it; they got it. ... None of that got out in the media. No one gave a damn. It is something that I will be forever ashamed of. The only justification I ever heard for what we were doing was the concern that East Timor was on the verge of being accepted as a new member of the United Nations and there was a chance that the country was going to be either leftist or neutralist and not likely to vote [with the United States] at the UN."
Why did we do this?!?
