A list of puns related to "Indiana Jones (character)"
I personally would like to see Salah return but I'm not sure how likely this is. Also I wonder will they do anything as a tribute or to acknowledge the passing of Sean Connery and John Hurt respectively
Platform(s): PC
Estimated year of release: 90'-early 2000
Graphics/art style: realistic?
Notable characters: Indiana jones looking character, other npc followers/workers/helpers - astecs, tribal people
Notable gameplay mechanics: i could say it was strategy/adventure game. Action took place in jungle. You were playing as that Indiana Jones looking characater/archologist and you had a party of tribal people and cattle to help you go through jungle. I know you were figthing something while traveling across the map (because i remember i could die in this game - party members dying one by one) but im not sure if with wild animals or other hostile tribals. Maybe both.
Other details: Action took place is some amazonian forest or other jungle looking environment
Hey, so I was trying out my custom character in Lego Indiana Jones and in that game for whatever reason women have the ability to high jump inherently. Since I was making a female lego character I assumed that I would have access to this ability but I do not. Am I doing something wrong in the game's eyes?
Young Indy was shot on site and with no CGI, it was an interesting story, had decent production values, and I think it's worth watching if you're an Indiana Jones fan.
Timeless reminded me of Young Indy - a small core cast meeting historical figures each episode. The story arc is unique and can keep viewers hooked, but young indy was like getting to learn more about one of your favorite characters.
Obviously magic is always gonna win out against martial classes when it comes to utility, but what are some things we can do anyway with the magically challenged?
When it comes to movies, my personal approach for years now has been to rate them based on what they're trying to achieve / entertainment value / rewatchability.
I personally feel that movie sites should have each of these ratings displayed. I'm far more likely to pick a movie with a story rating of 1/5 that has an entertainment factor of 5/5, than one with a story of 5/5 but an entertainment factor of 2.
Although here, I'll only be focusing on the entertainment factor.
I'm going to start with my personal favourite movie list first and it should give you a good guide as to what to expect from this list. Now, if you wildly disagree with the below, then you'll probably not watch anything on the list. If you mostly agree with the below, then this list might be more for you!
The below are in no particular order.
Personal top 10 (based on enjoyment and constant rewatchability) | Personal top 10, viewed critically (excludes the ones above) |
---|---|
Back to the Future | Oldboy |
Lord of the Rings trilogy | I Saw the Devil |
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade | The Social Network |
Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl | Gone Girl |
Shaun of the Dead | Double Indemnity |
Independence Day | Life is Beautiful |
Moana | The Pianist |
Road to El Dorado | Goodfellas |
Inglourious Basterds | City of God |
The Mummy | Gladiator |
That should give you a good enough basis of our tastes and where we align.
For this list, I've mainly looked at movies where a MacGuffin or a place to discover is involved, but have branched off here and there.
Key: ER = Entertainment Rating
Movie | ER | Any particular opinion? |
---|---|---|
Tomb Raider (2018) | 3.5/5 | I think Vikander does an excellent job and the introduction to her character was fun and energetic. Things fall apart rather quickly once they reach the island though. I found some of the changes odd too, such as their approach to the supernatural... on the other hand my SO really liked this approach. |
The Mummy (1999) | 5/5 | An entertainment delight! The characters are engaging, the action thrilling, hilarious at points and does a wonderful job of balancing horror and humour. |
The Mummy Returns (2001) | 4/5 | It's stupid, mixed with some awful CGI at points... but goddamn it, it's a lot of fun! It doesn't take itself seriously and if you're looking for a good time, then it's here. |
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer (2008) | 3/5 | The characters and set-pieces deliver enough entertainment to carry it. So if you're a huge fan |
One of the first levels was in a gondola lift getting shot at from another one. Then you had to fight someone in a cabin at the top of the mountain.

Series description: Envisioned as a Disney+ series following Indiana Jones as a young adult on his early archeological adventures, each season (6-8 episodes) in search of a different mythical artifact.
#Link to script: Indy - "The Adventure Begins"
Logline: When Indy obtains an Egyptian artifact, he discovers dangerous adversaries will stop at nothing to take it from him. Meanwhile, he debates an offer to join an expedition in search of a powerful biblical artifact.
With Indiana Jones 5 coming up and Disney+'s ability to produce high-budget series, I thought now would be a cool opportunity to continue Indiana Jones stories while still avoiding a total reboot but also keeping a little closer to the look and production value of the original films, so I took a break from my original writing and wrote this for fun. Hope you enjoy!
