Inaccessible island in new shattered realm

An Imgur album i made from flying over to it using dawnblade cheese. The portal at the lowest point of the island seems to be the intended way of making it onto the island.

A similar portal is located near the 2nd beacon with a plate at the base, and a number of similar looking plates scattered around the shattered realm

Is it possible for a thriving island to be inaccessible by sea?

I am planning to write a book with the same geography as Earth, except for an additional island the size of England in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, that was not discovered until satellites captured it. Would this be possible? I was thinking of whether ocean currents would suffice in this, but this isn't my area of expertise. Would it also be possible for such an island to have life on it?

Is it possible for an island to be inaccessible by sea?

Hopefully this is the right subreddit for this question, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am planning to write a book with the same geography as Earth, except for an additional island the size of England in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, that was not discovered until satellites captured it. Would this be possible? I was thinking of whether ocean currents would suffice in this, but this isn't my area of expertise.

Is there a way for an island to be completely undiscoverable by sea?
