My wife allowed my troubled teen niece to come stay with us for a month. My sister-in-law shows up with a device, called a Circle Parental Control device and asked me to install it on my wifi. She wants to monitor and block all of her daughter's internet traffic. Unfortunately, should I plug this device in, it would also allow her to monitor everyone else's in the house internet activity as well, including cell phones. She promises that she will only monitor her daughter's activity, but all I have is her word for that. I said ABSOLUTELY NOT, and my wife is upset, saying "I don't have anything to hide, what are you hiding?". I said it's not what I'm hiding, it's that I'm not willing to give up every last shred of privacy in my life. She's convinced my niece will be harmed if she's allowed to surf the web unmonitored. I am simply unwilling to give up both my privacy and the privacy of my other teen and young adult children still at home. Am I the asshole?
I live in a two appartment house with my parents (parents upstairs, me downstairs) and I've had my room downstairs since I'm 17 (23 now), but I would still go upstairs for food. I have been curious about this for quite some time now. How would any monarchist political organisation go about restoring the German monarchy in light of the Grundgesetz, specifically Article 20? I am aware of Article 146, but even then the process of creating a new constitution most likely would involve both the Bundestag and the Bundesrat, which are bound by Article 20. (I am no legal expert, so please do correct any mistakes I may have made in my assessment)
One can also take the route of the Reichsbรผrger, but I don't think denying the validity of the Grundgesetz and the current federal republic will do anyone any good.
Just reintroduce the Japanese nobility. I know that there are noble family associations and Samurai associations that accept people who are male-line descendants of nobles. But said organizations are inofficial and titles are not protected by the government nor does the Emperor grant nobility to commoners. Do not limit yourself to the collateral/cognatic branches of the Imperial Family, allow anybody who can prove patrilineal descent from a person who was noble in 1947 to have their title added to the passport and ID card.
Reintroducing nobility would allow the Emperor to ennoble individuals like officers, entrepreneurs or prime ministers. This is still done in two major monarchies (Spain and Belgium, not counting UK because British knighthood is not hereditary), why should this not be in Japan? Imagine giving the status of a Samurai to people who have distinguished themselves in the military, for example.
That way, Imperial women can be made to marry nobles so that they don't lose aristocratic privileges if leaving the Imperial house on marriage, and if they still want to marry commoners, said commoners can be given a new title on or shortly before marriage so that their wives stay noble and the children are noble, without disturbing the order of succession or tolerating female-line members of the Imperial house.

We have discussed it and it turns out parents in law detest me and has chastised husband for not marrying his ex who was more submissive. They are still in contact with this ex and often compare me to her in my absence. They have called me horrible names , said Iโm a bad wife and have said Iโm selfish for pursuing a graduate degree. FIL has even gone to the point of calling husband a โsissyโ for changing diapers, feeding his son and basically being a parent. I didnโt know any of this and I was saddened to hear that husband has been defending me to his parents for years. He claims he wanted to shut them up once and for all by showing them I can be a โgood wife.โ He apologized for requesting this and explained that he was desperate. I apologized for shutting him down and not digging deeper into the issue. We called parents in law this morning. I was livid. I confronted them for the verbal abuse they have subjected my husband to over the years. We explained that we run an equal household where everyone pitches into the best of their ability. I added that I expect the both of them to pitch in if they do decide to come. They were quiet and abruptly hanged up. They called back a few minutes later and MIL is now claiming that she is not feeling well and they wonโt be able to come. Iโve encouraged husband to seek therapy to rebuild his self confidence. Original post: Throwaway, apologies for grammar and formatting issues. Husband was raised in a very conservative family with traditional gender roles. When husband and I started dating, he didnโt even know how to do laundry, cook or clean properly. I immediately told him this wouldnโt fly and he expressed a willingness or dare I say enthusiasm to learn. Heโs now a great cook, cleans like a pro even to the point where he covers about 60-70% of the household chores in addition to equally raising our 9 months old son. I am unable to contribute equally to the household chores since I started graduate school full time and also has a full time job.

We all know that the IH consistently skirts the edges of AI's/silicus anime prohibitions. So why not have 'successors' seemingly turn on the Imperium openly, but still operate under the Hands indirect command. Ditto for other first founding chapters for their own reasons.
The Relictors would come to mind in terms of canon, since they love their captured warp weapons, they could be good candidates as a puppet chapter that is off the Imperiums loyalty books. This would also give added bonuses for loyal chapters to have a source of geneseed that, for obvious reasons, wouldn't tithe a portion to the admech for analysis.
An off-the-books space marine chapter/company discreetly supplied and given intelligence by their controller, and completely outside of Imperial laws and restrictions, which would allow their founder to utilize all those forbidden weapons and tech all the while keeping their own names clear.
Obviously this puppet force would still be renegades and likely have a target by those who aren't aware or in on their situation, but space marines can handle operating without official support easily.
