A list of puns related to "I Dreamed of Africa"
It was actually a very big round pool, more in the format of a giant bowl at the end of a plato by the sea. The entrance to the pool was through a huge cavern inside, with a 15m wide exit to the pool, which was a round turquoise blue water about 5m below this cavern's exit. So to get in the water, I, fat old smiling Jack Nicholson, would jump from the cavern straight to the water.
The interesting geographical aspect along with this super tall cavern entrance, was that on the other side of this round pool, there was just a super tall, but thin, wall, like 25m tall from water to top. It was really like a bowl, neighboring the sea. Up there on the highest border, there were some African men laughing all the time, they couldn't believe how an old man like me was able to seize the tide fluctuation to grab a rock down there and climb my way out of the pool without any help back to the entrance of the cavern. The only way into the pool was jumping and only way out was climbing the rocks.
The most exciting part tho, was when a huge wave out there in the sea produced a big impact below the surface of the pool inside the bowl, pushing the water 25m all the way up to the highest border, and I could climb my way to that spot as well. The Africans couldn't believe that and would just laugh and talk to each other in desbelief.
Very interesting, chilling and adventurous dream.
Had the same dream repeat twice last night, that there was a huge earthquake (I'm assuming) in Africa, and that Egypt was destroyed (along with other places). Seen the ground open up in a straight line and then Y off. The Ancient ruins in Egypt were basically destroyed.
I woke up exhausted
It took me a while to work out it was just a Fanta sea.
I had this cool vivid dream of a massive Roblox mall with like 100 players per server. There were like a hundred stores to buy clothing for your avatar, an indoor amusement park, restaurants, a food court, mini games, etc. I remember it was super crowded like people everywhere going shopping and it was fun.
I looked it up and there are a couple malls however they are relatively small, and unpopular. Also itβs only small clothing shops.
It was a pigment of my imagination
Lordy. Where do I begin. I need more help.
The guy they wanted took the job - way more than they initially wanted to spend. My friend was devastated. I followed the advice here and told her she did a great job and how proud I was of her, but the other guy did an amazing job and I didn't know what would happen. She was confident that she was going to win - she had more experience with the company vs. his experience & education. At 4:55 she got a call thanking her but that they went in a different direction. HR offered to meet to discuss how she could improve and to stabilize working relations with the new guy. Shortly there after it was announced company-wide he had agreed to take the job and they were thrilled. She took the following couple of days off and didn't respond to text or email. She just completely took some time away (fair enough). She returned mid-next week and found-out that he wasn't going to start until a couple of weeks later and that she had time. Then a company-wide email went out announcing that not only had he finished the final requirements for his MBA and took first place in his final case competition beating every other school in the country but that he was starting sooner than anticipated. A lot of emphasis was placed on his Ivy League education, which really irked Tina.
He would come in occasionally (before his start date) to meet with senior executives and his team members and pushed them to get unvarnished thoughts - a lot of them really complained about working conditions on the team and major obstacles they faced. A few really told him the unvarnished truth.
His start date rolled around there after, and the hype was real. He hit the ground running and his first week was incredibly busy. On day one he held an open meeting where he came in and immediately banned weekend emails (some teams were expected to check/respond to emails 7 days a week), gave staff commensurate working hours to the rest of the company (we never got summer hours or flex time, which he immediately changed) and followed-up on promises made by previous staff. He rolled out new processes, budget models and is a far more effective at advocate for the team - so much so that all the old time staff have become his "followers". A lot of people were worried about being fired (performance had been way down) but we're already seeing a

I come home from an eight hour shift exhausted. My partner doesn't understand. I slept for 11 hours last night because I'm so exhausted after work.
How the hell am I supposed to bring a kid or two into the equation when I'm floored after a "measly" eight hour stint?
Plus, I want to home school for the foundation years of schooling to make sure that they're not going to be left behind. I'm terrified because I've seen school systems failing children because we rely on them too much, but what choice do we have when neither parent is paid enough to be the sole worker?
And I'm not even on minimum wage. I'm a half decent amount above it, and I laugh and cry at the thought of minimum wage being pocket money for teenagers, but adults are expected to be able to make it cover all of their outgoings.
It's all so fucked. :(
So let me set the record here - when Stadia was announced, I was already a huge fan of the idea and pre ordered immediately after the stream. I was excited beyond measure, mostly for the "Play Anywhere, Anytime" idea. Being able to just jump on for 10-15 minutes whilst on a break at work to do something or help someone quickly was exciting to me.
I've been taking my controller to work with me and playing now and again - recently, spending my lunch hour squirrelled away in a corner playing Darksiders Genesis. That was part one - just been able to jump on and do a mission, or grab a collectable quickly.
Part two, helping people, finally happened yesterday. I found a Destiny 2 community with several massive clans full of active players on Stadia finally. I joined the Discord, joined up to one of the clans, and was happily just letting Discord go along, and then someone mentioned that they couldn't find the chest that they needed for a certain quest - and me, knowing where it was. I tried to help out with just text, but to no avail, and then I realised...
It only takes me 3 minutes to get there, and I didn't have the quest completed on one of my characters... so I opened up a new tab in Chrome, and just with my laptop keyboard and mouse, went to the location I know the item is in to make sure I could find it... lo and behold, there it was! I pinged in to the Discord and let the person who was having trouble finding it know that I was stood on top of it right now, and they can just join me and find it, as well as another quest beginning right next to me! With that, another person who needed it saw the message and asked if they could also join - of course they could!
Within 5 minutes, both Guardians were in my fireteam and at the location I led them to with two more exotic quests than they had before they joined me. I closed the game down, and carried on with my work.
I could not have had that experience with my PS4 or PC, but Stadia made it possible and it felt oh so cool to do!
When I was a kid, my family didnβt have much money and whenever a new Call Of Duty would come out, I would be pretty bummed out since I was never able to play right when it came out.
I used to tell myself , that sometime In the future Iβll be able to buy it myself.
Today the day has come.
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare has come out and I felt so happy being able to walk up and grab my copy of the newest call of duty.
I spent my hard earned money and walked out happier than ever.
I am now anxiously waiting for the downloads to finish.
Which I donβt understand what the purpose of purchasing a disc is , if you still have to download the game .
I have dreamed of this day!
Honestly the release wasnβt as big as the older call of duty game releases , when modern warfare 2 got released , people lined up for blocks.
There was only 12 people in the store today.
It took me a while to work out it was just a Fanta sea.
