Huayna Picchu/Mountain Macchu Picchu question
Hi all! I am planning a trip to Macchu Picchu in May and am having trouble with some decisions. We definitely want to do either Huayna Picchu or Mountain, but we are confused as to whether it is better to go in the early or late group. I keep hearing about how wonderful it is to see Macchu Picchu in the afternoon after the crowds clear a bit. If I purchase the later group for either hike, will I have access to Macchu Picchu in the afternoon, or will I need to buy a second admission ticket?
So overall I would love thoughts on Mountain vs Huayna, and whether to do the early or late group :)

Shoes for Huayna Picchu
Hi there
Is it reasonable to hike Huayna Picchu in trail running shoes?
Our trip is a month long and Iβm hoping to be able to take trainers over hiking boots for the sake of luggage space and weight.

How far in advance to book Choquequirao trekking tours bound for Machu Picchu/Huayna Picchu?
I am planning a trekking trip to visit Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu, and a number of Inca sites in the Cuzco region via the Choquequirao trail at some point (probably March or April) in 2021. Has anyone done this trek with or without a guide/tour company (I have ample backpacking experience at altitude and speak Spanish) and can offer their general advice? More specifically: Is a guide recommended? If so, how early should I book a tour? Is navigation straightforward? Are accommodations generally accessible to solo travelers? Are there regular resupply spots for food? Any alternatives routes/tips/side trips that I should consider? Thanks!

Spent Thanksgiving break traveling to Peru and after a 9 hour hike, finally made it to Machu Picchu!! This is from Huayna Picchu, the mountain adjacent to Machu Picchu. Pro tip: if you want to climb this mountain when in Peru, schedule months in advance. Only so many people are allowed in each day

Inca Trail & Huayna Picchu Mountain! - How can get the Inca Trail permits? and How can get the Huayna Picchu permits?
INCA TRAIL & HUAYNA PICCHU MOUNTAIN
4 Day Inca Trail is an experience which should inspire excitement, invoke a little bit of fear, stoke jealousy amongst your friends, and stir a sense of wander in your soul.
One of the most popular things to do in South America - and one of the worldβs most famous hikes - the Inca Trail is the sort of singular adventures for which we all travel. The hike itself, which brings you along ancient narrow paths deep into the Peruvian countryside and high into the Andean mountains, is gorgeous; perfect Incan ruins, cloud forest, and majestic valley views laid out like breadcrumbs along the way to perhaps the greatest end-point of any multi-day hike on earth, the iconic Machu Picchu
4 Day Inca Trail
Huayna Picchu Mountain which means βYoung Peakβ in Quechua, is the large mountain that sits directly behind Machu Picchu, and can been seen in all itβs glory in the picture above.
For many trekkers, climbing Huayna Picchu is one of the highlights of a visit to Machu Picchu. The views of the Citadel and surrounding landscape are extraordinary from the top and well worth the climbing effort.
From a distance Huayna Picchu looks like a technical climbing endeavour, but is in fact just a steep hike with some sections that will require the use of both hands and feet to scramble upwards, but no technical skills or climbing tools. There are sections that include railings and cables for support.

How can you get the Inca Trail + Huayna Picchu Mountain?
If you would like to do the Inca Trail & Huayna Picchu, I can recommend to get the Inca Trail first and second the Huayna Picchu mountain. If you want to climb up to the mountain, you will need to get the new ticket for the Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu Mountain between 10:00 - 11:00 and pay extra. Usually in the Inca Trail is only included the Inca Trail + Machu Picchu tickets. It is not possible to add this m
