A list of puns related to "Hoist (device)"
itβs a v6 magnum with 118,000k miles. No error codes and problems besides that the tachometer just stopped working. Will taking the engine apart and cleaning it help reliability and engine health? I might bore it while itβs out.
I would love to see Bolts win againβ¦ Everyone here would. But who would you really love see win if it canβt be the boys? For me itβs the Wild. Iβve been kinda fan boying them for a few years. They had so much young talent and it was easy to see that they would be really good when they figured everything out. Now that they are seemingly all on the same page and playing great puck, I feel like they have a legitimate shot. Thatβs pretty exciting.
We have an agricultural pole building with a 10ft high x 18ft wide sectional OH door. I can get it lifted but it's harder than I want to deal with on a daily basis. No electricity in this building, so I'm looking to install a shaft-mounted chain hoist, like the below picture.

Problem is, the specs call for a solid shaft, while my door has a hollow shaft. Anyone know how serious is this recommendation for a solid shaft -- like, would I be an idiot to roll the dice?
I'm wondering if it the recommendation is because
OR, 2) does this kind of hoist put too much rotational torque on a hollow shaft and might cause it to weaken/bend anywhere along its length (in which case I can't think of any solution).
Thanks in advance for any advice, or alternate ideas to make this door easier to open without electricity. [edit-fixed picture]
December 10th may not be the only day we enjoy this light, crisp, blonde adult beverage, but it sure is the one day we celebrate National Lager Day.
The drink of choice for many at sporting events, backyard barbecues, family reunions, and sitting at home staring into the Abyss and slipping slowly into madness, lager is the light hoppy drink that is THE most popular style of beer throughout the world. (And the third most popular beverage after water and tea.)
Lagers are distinguished from other beers by using a cold-conditioning process. The types of yeast used are referred to as βbottom-fermentingβ yeast or yeast that can develop at colder temperatures. Before the advent of refrigeration, brewers perfected this process in cellars dug into the ground and filled with ice. Those who taste the delicious results described the lager as βcrispβ and βrefreshing.β
I've actually pulled a beer from the finishing tanks above. About as fresh as you can get.
Last week's theme suggested by Pinkminx last week was BARS... (A blind man walked into a bar. And a table. And a door. And a staircase.) ...had 27 posts.

Overall a good turnout (and we found out that I'm not the only one old enough to remember Thundar The Barbarian).
This week's theme will be >!CIRCUS!<. As usual, interpret that as you will and have fun with it.
And hey! Let's be careful out there.
China's property bubble continues its slow-motion collapse.
HONG KONG/LONDON, Jan 10 (Reuters) - China's property sector saw more drama on Monday after reports Shimao - investment grade-rated until a couple of months ago - had put all its projects up for sale, and Evergrande attempted to avoid another high-profile default.
Hi all,
I found this r/ looking for hoist systems for my new Roof Top Tent (Desert Armor Warrior XL). I've seen some incredible systems with pulleys connected to the garage roof. Unfortunately, I have an archaic garage design that can't fit my 4Runner even without the RTT. So I am wondering if anyone has seen a build for good hoist systems/pully systems that are stand-alone? Essentially, I'd like to have a hoist system I can roll out or put up in my driveway and hoist the RTT off the truck without needing to ask friends to come over and help me every time.
