In the year 2020, Cuba is on the cusp of change. Raul Castro, who had declared he would step down from the role of President in 2018 did not honor that vow, but states he will serve a second term and leave the office in 2024.
The Cuban economy, growing due to the growth of the public sector (up to 22% of the economy, from less than 10% just 3 decades ago!) is on the edge of breaking out of the crippling restrictions of the American Embargo.
While the Workers Party of Cuba continues to hold uncontested power in the country, the knowledge of the outside world trickles in, and the people of Cuba seek to have the wealth and lifestyle they see on smuggled movies and television.
Travel restrictions, lifted in 2013, have had 10's of thousands of Cubans traveling outside of Cuba, and then returning with new ideas and visions of how best to live in this island workers paradise.
To be sure, the economy is small, the military is weak, and the government is hindered by it's own ideology, but that too may change, as the changes under Raul Castro continue to reverberate and cast a wide ripple in the great pond that is the Caribbean.

Alongside the [official establishment of the United Territories of West Cuba] (https://www.reddit.com/r/worldpowers/comments/6391so/news_united_territories_of_western_cuban_report/), the office of Secretary Ramirez releases this financial report of the United Territories of Western Cuba. Development and renovation of new and old ports, respectively, in the Havana and Pinar del Rio regions will be prioritized in the Infrastructure Bill which will be voted on by the Senate within the following weeks. Railways and highways connecting eastern territories such as Santa Clarita or Sancti Spiritus will also be constructed and renovated in order to provide improved trade and transport connections.

I attacked Foerost, routed the enemy fleet without casualties. Nice.
Had Aayla Secura, Kit Fisto, Plo Koon and Shaak Ti duking it out with fighters surrounding the Capital Shipyard, which then exploded during the "We Are Victorious-screen. Nice.
The Jedi High Council just lost 4 council members in the explosion. Not nice.
Tried it with Mace Windu deliberately in the next battle. Same result. Verified but still not nice.

Iβve never made a post like this, but u/F8rge and Dice really need to fix the hero system.
In my last game on Kashyyk only 3 people got to play as heroes on my team. One guy kept hero #1 for the entire game, another kept hero #2 for 80% of the game of the game before losing it in the final stage, and the third picked up hero #2 in the last 5 minutes or so.
A lot of the fun in CS and GA is playing as a hero for a few minutes and slicing up enemy soldiers, before inevitably dying to another enemy hero or a group of soldiers. People shouldnβt be able to cut out that last part.
This part might be controversial, but I liked the old BF2 hero system. The heroβs health also functioned as a timer. It constantly decreased so youβd die eventually, but increased a little every time you killed an enemy. Tweak it a bit so that regular health boosts from Yoda and other sources still work, and add a bigger timer boost for killing enemy heroes, and itβd be perfect. The only way someone could stay a hero the entire match is by constantly staying in the fray, which isnβt usually possible to do and survive.

I'm back with another update to my ongoing project - Heroes On Both Sides, an unofficial sourcebook that seeks to provide a comprehensive Clone Wars adversary guide in the same vein as the official Original Trilogy-focused Allies & Adversaries.
This new update sees the GALACTIC REPUBLIC section added to the guide, with over 50 Clone Wars-era stat blocks for you to use in your games. These join the previous 30+ Jedi Order NPCs from the first update. A glimpse at what is in this update:

As always feedback is appreciated - both for the balancing of the stats themselves, and even minor things like spelling/grammar mistakes.
Even though the Dominican Republic shares the same island as Haiti, I canβt think of any Haitian players in the MLB but there are dozens of Dominicans. And Cuba claims a strong baseball culture and itβs just a short skip across the Caribbean. Is there a cultural difference? Did Americans not try to share baseball there or did the Haitians just not take to the game?
Hi, I'm Eldor, leader of The Heroes of the Republic. We're a medium sized, and growing guild(69.5 mil GP) with a good core looking to add a few people to join our little family. While we take a casual approach to the game, and have no minimum requirements to join, we are working towards being able to take part in all aspects of the game. We are also glad to help every step of the way through the game, whether you are playing for the first time, or are looking to get into more end-game events. While we are willing to accept anyone into the guild, at the moment we are really trying to find a couple higher level players so that we can get over the hump to enter the hSTR soon. Sorry, we are not looking to merge with other guilds, but to grow our own guild.
- We're now running and easily completing regular heroic Rancor and AAT raids as we get the tickets and getting those Raid Han and General Kenobi shards for our members.
- We are running the T6 Sith raid and improving at it every run and are preparing teams to be ready for the hSTR soon.
- We are also involved in Hoth Territory Battles, and usually average 18-22 stars per run. We hope to get into the Geonosis TBs soon, and are preparing for when we can.
- We enjoy running Territory Wars as much as possible, and while we don't win them all, we do win more than we lose. :)
- We do have a Discord server, and while it is not required, we're starting to use it more for helping each other out and coordinating raids and battles, so we encourage people to join up.
- We also are involved in other games(FFXIV, SWTOR, BF2, etc.) if you are looking for a home there also.
