Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Hood. Finished putting her together this afternoon. She is a straight out of the box build. She's a big ship, close to being the same length of Titanic or USS Missouri.

Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Hood. I built this beautiful ship over the weekend. First time using Tamiya spray paint for the waterline. Brush painted the decks and applied wood deck transfers. Most of the kit fit really well, not many problems at all.

Beginner question; HMS HOOD
Hello all
I finally got my first Naval model. It is a Lindberg HMS Hood. I've read some of the comments how its not accurate and other things, but I got it as a gift, and I am very excited to start my first model. I remember my grandfather assembling his own models and painting them.
I have quite a few questions though. Mainly what glue/paint/ to use
I obviously want the colors to be accurate
This website lists the things required for this model
https://www.hobbylinc.com/lindberg-hms-hood-military-battleship-plastic-model-military-ship-kit-1:400-scale-70828
- Assembly
- Modeling Knife (Already have one)
- Plastic cement (Tamiya fast drying?)
- Sprue Cutter (I already have one)
- Paint (FS35237 Medium Gray, FS34038 Flat Black, FS30117 Military Brown, Brass, Steel, FS31136 Insignia Red)
Most of these colors are out of stock on HobbyLinc.com
I also would love to buy some alligator clips and have them dry separately held upwards, not just laying on the table drying.
Any brushes will do?
Is thinning of the paint required?
Thanks!
