Almost every Bond adventure has started with the iconic gun barrel sequence (although a few have ended with it). Out of all them, it's safe to say that Craig's have been the most diverse.
So my curiosity has risen. Which Craig era Bond movie do you believe has the best gun barrel sequence? Are you basing it solely on the sequence itself or is your decision swayed by what precedes / succeeds it? (i.e. the entire pre-title scenes )

So, let’s talk gun barrel sequence. To the luckiest people who saw it, could you describe it?
Why has the Daniel Craig era been so reluctant to give us a traditional gun barrel sequence?
Having a nontraditional gun barrel sequence in Casino Royale made sense as Bond didn't have his 00 status yet. But putting the gun barrel sequence at the end of Skyfall and Quantum of Solace made little sense as Bond had his 00 status by that point. Spectre's gun barrel was the most traditional of the lot though even it fell short.
So, again, why the reluctance on the part of the Craig era to give us a traditional gun barrel?
Would you object if the Bob Simmons gun barrel sequence was replaced with Sean Connery's?

Always liked how the pre-credits to Casino Royale turned the action scene into the gun barrel sequence. The editing in this film amazing!

Alternate "Skyfall" opening WITH gun barrel sequence, which director Sam Mendes placed at the end credits because "the film starts with Bond walking down a corridor towards camera and lifting a gun. When I put the two [shots] together it looked ridiculous. We tried and couldn't make it work."

One of my favorite parts of any Bond movie, and it's embarrassing how many times they've misdone Craig's ones.
The one in Spectre was okay but a little bland, and it didn't open up the scene. They better not put it at the end again!

I’m confused as to what exactly the implications are of the “gun barrel walk” opening of every movie. Like, is this a POV shot of a gun aiming at 007.... or is it a POV of the inside of a gun and there is a very tiny 007 holding an even tinier gun....?
I’m half joking... but I legitimately can’t stop thinking of a tiny James Bond trapped inside of a gun every time I ever see it.

I saw it on reddit around the time that Skyfall was coming out, but for some reason I can't seem to find it again. It was around 1 minute, and it was just the 007 gun barrel sequence featuring all the Bond actors simultaneously. All I can find are 7-8 minute videos showing them all in sequence, but I swear this one exists also. Help!

The gun barrel gets red hot after a sustained firing in Division 1. As a fairly new player I find this really cool as Division is a 3rd person shooter and didn’t expect they would put this small detail on the guns. What other small details have you guys noticed in game?
