A list of puns related to "Greg Hates Car Culture"
Was wondering this after I saw a video of the Supra in Japan. I know people give it shit for not being "purely JDM" but this view I've only seen the view here in the US. I was curious if people in Japan had the same feelings or didn't care at all, since everyone usually roots for their home team.
It depends on how relationships are named in a particular culture. I was also surprised the way it is in the show, maybe this is what happens in western cultures ?
I am Indian and as per our system of naming relatives, Logan would be a grandfather ( not uncle), could be called an elder/younger grandpa based on who is older Ewan or Logan. And likewise he would call the siblings uncle/aunt etc, Greg is their nephew.
So if someone is surprised and says Greg is a nephew of the siblings, they aren't totally wrong.
I hate the car culture so prevelent in many countries. I hate the fact that you are cosidered poor if you dont have a car. I absolutely despise large multi lane highways and parkinglots. Even worse is the fact that many cities are designed for cars. AAARGH. Fuck cities with car accessible centres. Fuck city planning based on cars. I dont know why i have this deep hatred for the car society, but it drives me insane.
I've stumbled on this subreddit a while ago and check it 9ut every now and then. I don't watch all of Greg's videos but whatever interests me I watch. For the most part the guy is giving solid advice, he doesn't shit on people for their problems, he doesn't shit on obese people to just work out he seems to actually understand people's situations and difficulties. Not only in regards to obesity but a lot of other difficult situations people have to deal with for the most part he is open and empathetic about it, he doesn't just shit on them. Sure he pumps out 3 videos a day and posts shit content sometimes but the guy is trying to make a living and if you don't like those videos just don't watch them (just like I don't watch them). Like are there any legitimate criticisms you guys have other than he is annoying or trying to make money? Again I'm not trying to sound rude or anything, just genuinely curious because to me for the most part he comes across as a good guy giving solid genuine advice.
So much goddamn space is wasted with cars. Just build shit closer together and get rid of the roads. If you want space and to drive, live in the country
Cars themselves are such a waste. 80% of them are single passenger which literally means on the road thereβs like 1 person every 12 feet, and thatβs if the road was packed. A train has 1 person every 1 foot, so much more efficient. Thatβs not even accounting for the literal 2 tons of metal we just kinda leave on the streets when weβre not using it. Absolutely stupid waste
Donβt even get me started on how fucking loud and dirty cars are. Middle of the night and some guy laying on his fucking horn while weβre all trying to sleep. Then the smog and noise of cars driving. Can you even imagine how nice itβd be if there was no cars as far as liveability?
My (24M) boyfriend (20M) and I just broke up. The reason? He missed Grindr too much. During the past few weeks, I could feel that something was off. He kept talking and kinda pressuring me about threesomes. He would always show me pictures of guys half naked and asked me if I found them hot. Then one day, I just discovered that he was actually talking to one of these guys he was showing me a picture of, telling him that we were down for a threesome even though I never agreed to do it and he even asked him for his Snapchat (but it wasnβt for nudes, of course). When I got mad at him over that, he then confessed that even though he loves me (I donβt believe it), part of him misses anonymous sex and he couldnβt see us be happy in the long run if he couldnβt have sex with all these other random guys.
It literally broke my heart. After all weβve been through, all Iβve done for him, all the times he told me that he loved me, some random dudes with abs and big dicks are gonna make him more happy than I ever did.
Honestly I feel betrayed and powerless. It has absolutely destroyed my self confidence. I feel like Iβm not enough. I donβt want to get out of my room anymore. I just wanna die and never date anyone ever again.
Mind you, this is not the first time this happened to me. Iβve been cheated on in previous relationships and been forced into being in an open relationship under the pressure of breaking up. I just hate it. This is not me. Iβm not into this hookup bullshit. I donβt like having sex with strangers. It makes me feel disgusting and worthless. I like being with the one person that makes me happy. Why is this so hard to get when youβre gay? I feel like Iβm never going to be in a happy relationship. I feel like Iβm not even part of the community. I saw gay memes where they called the monogamous gays, "gays for straight people". The real gays are the "cigarette, piss and blood gays". Is that what I am, a gay for straight people? Because I donβt want to feel like a piece of meat in the perverted eyes of strangers? Everything about this community is so over sexualized and disgusts me. Now, everytime i see a TikTok with the #gay or I see a Grindr screenshot on a meme, it makes me want to break my phone and throw up.
I hate my life. I hate being gay. I want out. Why was I born like that? This is so unfair. I feel like Iβm being punished for no reason.
Sorry for the long rant. I just wanted to get this out of my chest and didnβt know who to tell so Iβm j

MASSIVE. FUCKING. GRILLZ.
Gone are the days of using chrome as an accent or to break up monotony. Let's put a massive battering-ram like chrome plate like it's the zombie apocalypse.
But hey, they sell; God knows I see enough of these on the roads.
I like the UK, but there are some things that bother me. Wbu?
Recently, I was reading an article about how in the US, the reason why most cities have terrible public transport is because of how ideologically obsessed most of the population is with cars/car culture. They literally use "taking the subway" as an insult, and generally see car ownership as this status symbol that proves your success. That's actually why the legal driving age there is so low at 16, because until you can drive it's basically impossible to get anywhere.
So this has got me thinking about attitudes in Melbourne.
I find that in talking to a lot of people about this stuff, I hear a lot of the same derision for public transport/cycling/walking/anything that's not a car that they get in the US. Even before Covid, when I told people I catch the train every day, I regularly encountered people who looked down on me and said that they found PT "gross". I even had a coworker once tell me that if you're over the age of 21 and you don't own a car, you need to "sort your shit out."
I firmly believe that society needs to reduce its dependency on cars. Owning a car should be an option, not a necessity just to be able to participate in everyday life, no matter where you live. The way I see it, if you need a car just to be able to go the shops, then you have a badly designed suburb.
But I'm curious what people here actually think.
Do most people from Melbourne agree that we need to scale back car infrastructure? Or are you in the camp that believes that cars are the "ultimate expression of personal freedom" or whatever.
Edit: Just to be clear, I'm more interested in people's opinion towards car-centric infrastructure, rather than a general evaluation of PT in Melbourne
It's hard finding people that actually speak to me as an Asian when it comes to these hate crimes. The conversations online are completely dominated by the pro-Black and anti-Black side, and none of it is really about Asians or how we really feel about things. The difference in response to the tweets about violence against Asians between the social justice crowd, the alt right crowd, and the regular folks is like night and day. Regular folks at least take the time to acknowledge that it's horrifying someone lost their life while the social justice crowd and the alt right crowd jump at the chance to make the entire conversation about Black people.
At the end of the day, I'm here to talk about Asians and anti-Asianness. The social justice crowd, the alt right, and the LARPers here who want to make everything about Black people don't care about us. The only time we're ever truly a part of any conversation is when it's time to demonize us over COVID or China. It's sick how even in death, we're being sidelined.
βand the parents always believe that they're being the best parents because they apparently had it much worse with their own parents.
I hate how my parents say my life is the best because they "don't act as bad as their own parents". I hate the stories about when they were young, they would be made to kneel on mung beans and caned with a bamboo stick, and that we should be grateful that all they do are slaps, beating with hangers and slippers, pulling hair, and strangling.
I hate how as I grew up, I discovered things they swept under the rug. My dad used to beat up my mom, my grandpa beat up my grandma, my uncle beat up and stabbed my pregnant aunt, etc. They say it's normal and that every marriage has its rough phases. It makes me somewhat scared what if the same thing were to happen to me, they would brush it off and sweep it under the rug again and tell me to endure or else it'd be shameful for our family if it gets out.
I hate them and I pity them all the same.
I know Iβm bias, Iβve always hated opportunist. Greg only does whatβs best for him. Heβs willing to sellout anyone and completely be an asshole to get what he thinks he deserves. The first season he worked at an amusement park making minimum wage. Then we find out he doesnβt really like his grandfather but Greg wants his inheritance. Greg then meets his uncle who I guess heβs never met and quickly sellout his grandfather for a better deal. Then Greg blackmails the same company his uncle owns. Soon as the company is in trouble he tries to weasels himself back with his grandfather. Push further ahead he plays both sides of Kendal and Royβs feud. What ever side looks like itβs winning more is the side he chooses. Then he tries to get βsomethingβ from roy by bargaining his vote. Then Kendal kicks him off his team and he immediately says derogatory things about Kendal when literally he was just sucking up to him. And literally Kendal gave him a 3000sq New York apartment for free. (Which is probably 20k a month). To top it all off, he tries to sue his grandfather because his grandfather wants to give all his money to charity. Why do people like him so much, heβs a horrible person?
Since the new year Amazigh is approaching and many medias are covering this event. the Amazigh medias are covering it and also the Arabic medias.
as for Algeria, when I read the news paper or when I met two Arab only speakers . the only thing I read is the racism and hate speech from the Algerian Arab speakers where they use the worst words and nicknames they could find against anything that is Amazigh and they specifically target the Kabyle and Kabylie since it is the one who was and still fighting for the right of the indigenous of Algeria.
These Algerian Arabs once you look into their profile, they always carry the flag of Algeria, support Palestine , and you only find the name of God, Prophet and Islamic quotes on how to be good and so on. those people it is not only one or two it is a big percentage of the population and the comment section. maybe you can tell me that they are just to make fun or they are the military secret service who wants to spread false view but I also have met some who think kind of this and why specifically targeting Kabyle in particular?
I am going to explore this by myself by speaking to many Algerian Arabs face to face and I am not wiling to hurt them or whatever. I want just to get their real opinions without trying to play the good person, so I can make my final conclusion about this very lasting topic of hundreds of years.
by default, the World knows that Amazigh are the indigenous people of North Africa. Why I am saying this because the Amazigh have no other land to show off their culture and languages. they are not going to Yemen or Qatar to celebrate Yennayer for example. They do it like Arabs do in their motherland in El Djazira!!!.
I would like to hear from you guys what you think, I really need your honest opinion whether it is good or bad. please tell how do you think and no need to make things look great.

Public transport and walking is so much better, and I wish more towns and cities were designed to be walkable. They are pretty much necessary for people who live out in the country, but outside of that I'd like to see there use greatly decreased.
I'm an Arab Ex-muslim. I was raised in a way and a culture I don't fit in.
It is torture living in an Arab country hiding your real identity and true-self. It is tiring. This culture is nothing but toxicity. Idk if I'm allowed to say this without getting banned from Reddit but Islam is a brainwashing machine that is keeping the community always behind, Fuck Arab culture.
