A list of puns related to "Greg Alexander"
I couldn't really settle on a title so I chose this one, I apologize for it being misleading.
I was just wondering about this a little bit and it got me thinking.
Hardy, as we know, had the domestic violence situation. By my understanding of the law (no law degree here), he was guilty, appealed, the plaintiff didn't show up, Hardy won the appeal, charges dropped. To me, that means, by the definition of the law, he is innocent.
Alexander has been suspended twice for substances and ejected for punching an opposing player, but has also shown numerous situations where he loses his cool and just isn't ready to be an effective and consistent force because he loses his cool.
We all know Jerry Richardson doesn't like to have headcases on his team, but personally I don't understand the idea of losing Hardy and keeping a guy like Alexander. I know it's a very different situation, and it was tough time (near the Peterson, Rice, etc, time), but it still kind of makes me feel like it's a little hypocritical.
Hardy is obviously way better than Alexander. We saw last year when the team had 20 less sacks than the previous year with Hardy. Yes he costs more, but from a football point of view, I just don't understand why it was so easy to just ditch Hardy when he clearly stated he wanted to be here for less money. The lawsuit wasn't even completed yet. Surely the organization could've talked to Hardy and said we'll re-evaluate based on this appeal.
I know I'm ranting here and I'm not saying I disagree with the organization from a PR standpoint, but I'm just wondering if anybody has some insight on why we want to keep Alexander after his issues but don't want to keep others. Yes I know the obvious answer is Hardy was violence and Alexander was substance, but I'd like to hear more.
Little's done next to nothing since I got him off the wire, and I see a few WRs on the wire now who, like Little, don't reliably produce week to week, but they at least have shown the potential for big games.
Robinson's got two 100 yard games now with matchups against ARI, MIA, WAS, and PHI left. Alexander is expected to come back from injury this week (right?) against an Arizona team that's given up, according to Yahoo, the 7th most points to WRs this year.
Who would be the better pick up? Or are there others I should be looking for? (Other available players in my 14-team, standard league with similar fantasy production thus far: Ben Obomanu, Titus Young, Joshua Cribbs)
