A list of puns related to "Grant Palmer"
I was doing some reading about Grant Palmer and came across him saying this in a podcast he did with John Larsen and he said something that really resonated with me:
>If I speak out in priesthood or Sunday school, I'm just going to hurt someone's feelings and I'll probably get reported to the bishop and if I don't speak out then I get kind of frustrated so I just [say] I don't think I want to go.
It's something that I've been thinking about a lot. I wish that the church as an institution was mature enough to allow people with unorthodox beliefs to be vocal about their opinions. However, I realize that I can't do this without being perceived as rude. So I'm forced essentially to either be dishonest by staying silent so that I don't hijack lessons, or I have to quit church entirely to keep my integrity.

Watching his video interview (https://youtu.be/HjfbCKG6Jus?t=3301), at around the 55 minute mark, he talks about two ordinances beyond the 2nd anointing. Roughly transcribed:
>There are, unknown to almost all Mormons, there is a hierarchy of ordinariness that went on in the temple. Most of the audience who is LDS will know about the endowments, sealing marriage, then second anointing, but the next one is the god-hood, the ordinance to become a god, and then god-head.
I've been unable to find any other information beyond this interview. Grant Palmer (from what I am aware) did do a lot of homework, and is generally a trusted figure (though I could be wrong).
Genuinely curious as there seems to be a lot of debate. The sources are the four informants John says has independently told him about He Who Shall Not Be Namedβs identity.
I heard recently in an interview that the identity of the general authority Grant Palmer was meeting with has been revealed after he recently passed away. Does anyone know the name of the GA?
Iβm pretty sure it was John Delhin that did the interviews with him but not certain. He lifted so much off my chest.
Last night during my interview with Grant Palmer about "Restoring Christ" he revealed three things:
Anyway, this all is to respond to the outpouring of questions to Grant through me from yesterday that basically asked, "Is Hamula Grant Palmer's GA." The answer to that is no. But Hamula is close with Grant's GA.

Suck it up and come clean. It's hard for all of us. You are in the unique position of shedding light on something that has destroyed and will destroy many people, marriages, families. Please. You could heal marriages and hearts. You could prevent depression and suicides. It will suck. It will cost you. But damnit, listen to what Grant said tonight. "Be honest. Don't be a coward."
I am interviewing Grant Palmer tomorrow night about his book, "Restoring Christ: Leaving Mormon Jesus for Jesus of the Gospels." Grant has only a few weeks/months to live. If you have any final questions for him, please post them here. Thanks!
I still haven't gotten used to lincoln's new voice. (or voices since he's been replaced like twice now) They just seem kinda off to me, i've always felt that grant palmer was perfect for the role.
If you can listen to that and still believe in the church js founded, I don't know what to tell you.
Grant Palmer provides a credible and very plausible explanation for how The Book of Mormon was created. Worth the listen - especially in light of next week's: A Celebration of the Life and Work of Grant Palmer: Live-Streamed.
Absolutely one of the Top 5 most important Mormon Stories Podcast interviews of all time.

Right before we fell asleep last night, I told my husband I got a new book. I told him it's written by a guy who was a CES director, an institute teacher for over 30 years. A faithful member of the church, who is writing it not to tear down the church but to build faith, but also to tell the plain truth about the history of the church. It's called Mormon Origins.
He said, "I think I would be interested in reading that."
"I think you would too."
We then talked about how he went home teaching last night and discussed last Sunday's sacrament meeting with the older couple he was visiting, and how we need to be more truthful with the youth about the history. The wife absolutely agreed, the husband wasn't so sure. So I told him that the book was right over on the dresser, but I bought it used so it's been marked up already, not by me. He sounds like he's going to read it.
Holy shit! Am I hoping for too much? I've been reading through this book, it seems like a shelf breaker. But a very fair and balanced one.
I know some of you have done through research on who the secret Seventy who has lost his testimony is.
Could Elder James J. Hamula have been the guy?
Executive Director of the Correlation Department.
Until recently he served as Assistant Executive Director of The Church History Department.
I am not asking for speculation.
I'm asking for those who have researched Grant Palmer's "clues" enough to know if Hamula is our man.
And if so, now what?
Who could it be?
He also said that stories about Monson are hair raising....
And what is your reason for thinking they are? I'm so curious!
Final Edit: The responses have been posted. I'd like to thank Grant Palmer again for setting time aside to do this Q&A. It went over time, but he was kind enough to let us get through the entire list. I've called out where I injected a few thoughts or links by using [] (very minimal). The rest came from Grant.
I'll leave this post stickied until tomorrow morning.
If you're looking for just Grant's replies, then search for [From Grant] using your browser search function.
Edit Questions are now closed.
Edit2 Interview just wrapped up. Thank you, Grant! I'll be working on transcribing this later today and should have up by 10:00 EST tonight.
Grant Palmer has agreed to do a Q&A session with this subreddit; however, the bulk of the conversation will not be on Reddit itself. So here is how we're going to be doing this AMA.
Use this post between Dec 1st and Dec 4th for all questions.
All questions must be in by 8:00 PM EST on Dec 4th. This is when I'll be emailing him the list of questions ahead of the call.
This will be a one-time communication, so please include all follow-ups in your questions.
The other mods will be invited to the call where he will respond to each question, but we had agreed to limit the number of participants.
I (and the other mods if they're able) will transcribe the responses to each questioner during the call early on Dec 5th.
As the question has come up, I'm open to suggestions on how we can prove that this is actually Grant Palmer to the rest of the forums.
In the recent Mormon Stories Grant Palmer stated that his GA would never reveal his name publicly.
I pity the GA. He has no integrity. He has found the truth and yet lives a lie. He stands at the head and receives his praise and payment from blind members he knowingly deceives. Church leaders know of his unbelief and yet he is held in place by his own fear and the fear of what his removal would mean to church membership.
Screw the truth, live with and in your fear, keep the illusion alive for your family and your church while you enjoy the trappings of your priestcraft. (anything can be bought with a "price", or if you prefer a "stipend")
