A list of puns related to "Generic Access Network"
I read about nginx reverse proxy with cloudflare but I wasn't sure if its safe to keep port 443 and 80 open. Another option I read was to setup a OpenVPN server. I want to access application outside my home network and share with few family & friends (less than 10).
So, about a week ago, I checked my Xfinity X-Fi connections to our network, and there appears to be a device named "Generic brand ISP TV box", which also apparently has an ethernet connection to our router. The only device in my network that has an ethernet connection is my Desktop, yet this device is showing up on X-Fi as having a wired connection. Now, the only television we have is solely streaming using the built-in streaming services on our smart TV. So, I paused the device from the X-Fi page, and I tried pinging the IP address of the device to make sure it couldn't send any packets back. Well, lo and behold, it sent back packets without any problems. We can't forget the device from X-Fi, and I personally went over all devices that could have any kind of IOT connection, and none of them are labelled as a "Generic brand ISP TV box", let alone any device that is running Linux. Is anyone else having this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Press and Content Creators had access to the Elden Ring Network Test last weekend, and they can now publish their coverage. Please use this thread to discuss!
This list is not exhaustive, I'll add people as I find them.

It looks like the Elden Ring Wiki is also updated and has network codes to giveaway. Peruse at your own risk of spoilers. I saw:
Hi all,
The pgtalk[1] project uses Go code generation from a database schema to produce structs and field accessors that can be used in your programs to create complex queries and mutations that are more type-safe.
Its design is based on the new 1.18+ generics which results in a lean implementation without any type-related code duplication.

Im using PI-Hole and pihole is saying nothing is getting blocked when I try pinging 1.1.1.1, Ive tried disabling pihole too and I've also tried pinging 1.1.1.1 directly from my Raspberry pi that's running pihole and still It says no response from 1.1.1.1 or any IP I try pinging... So it must be lying? My internet works fine, I can visit uncached domains and do everything on the internet id normally do except ping ips or domains.
When pinging google.com I get googles IP back but no response from the IP, When I try tracerouting 8.8.8.8 the tracert stops responding after the ping from my modem.

I do not think there's any anti-virus or firewall blocking these pings because I have tried these on multiple devices, I have a TP-Link router and I don't think I've changed any settings on it. My ISP is Cogeco ( not sure if this helps) and I've tried posting this issue in multiple tech support discord servers as well as the Pihole support and they didn't know what the issue was. In my router settings, Pings are allowed from WAN and LAN ports and there's something called SPI firewall turned on in my router settings. Somebody also told me my IP Is may be blacklisted, which I highly think isn't true.
Edit 1: Maybe solved, Someone said it was a ICMP issue by my ISP, is someone able to confirm?
Edit 2: I believe its actually something to do with me having a Modem/Router combo acting as a double NAT.
Edit 3: Solved, it was just a stupid issue with my firewall settings, It automattically disables ICMP without telling you when you put your firewall status to βTypicalβ terrible documentation of this. Hitron modems suck ass also theres an ongoing bug where it doesnt allow you to Residential Gateay Function so im going to have to contact someone for that.
Edit 4: I have the CODA-4589 modem from hitron, if someone is able to find the latest firmware for that modem/router combo that would be great.
Edit 5: Actually doing something called Ip Passthrough can put a specific port into bridge mode someone told me and I think my issue is completely fixed without having to call the isp.
I am from Chile, in early 2010. I saw a cartoon about 3 or 4 friends, the typical ones the protagonist, the only girl in the group that is the voice of reason, and the two or one extra kid that I don't remember. It was a 3d cartoon, with generic style, nothing unusual. The first and last time that I saw the cartoons was around 4 Am. I only saw two episodes, not stand-alone episodes, the kind of episodes that are together like 10 minutes the first, and later 10 minutes the other, in total 20 minutes episode.
The first episode was about the kids trying to win a pogo stick. They would have to be the 100 purchase of a bottle of water to won the pogo stick. They raise the temperature in the shop to make people buy water bottles. I'm sure they make other things for people to purchase water bottles, but I don't remember. In the end, they 100 water bottle, and it wasn't a real pogo stick was only a keychain.
The second episode was about a kid in a wheelchair. He cants make a point in basketball. I refer to shooting and make the ball go in the hoop. I don't remember much of the episode. But it was in the school of the kid's group. The kids help him in different ways, but the kid still cants make the ball make a point. In the end, they blindfold the kid and tell him to shoot, but he doesn't make it. Everyones agree, to celebrate like he make it. The kid discovers that it was all a lie. And i dont remember more.
Please help me to find it. It has haunted me for years, i searched a lot and still cant find it.
We can all agree that the ISPs not allowing us access to the router is a major problem and hinders our ability to configure our network the way we want to. I believe our home network should belong to us and we should get it back. We do have some sort of consumer protection organization, they should be able to help us. How can we get help?
My network is being bombarded with failed attempts to access, which are blocked by my FiOS router.
My router's security log shows that these attacks only began last december. That period doesn't coincide with any particular event. I have a VPN server and a media server - all for personal use - running on my NAS since long before that. The two ports that I have open are forwarded to these servers.
I have a few questions
First, what's triggering these attempts all of a sudden? It's not like I started a website that increased the visibility of my server.
Second, if I stop port-forwarding, will that help reduce these attacks?
Third, if I can somehow get Verizon to change my public IP, will that help curb these attacks?
I'm trying to get as many eyes on this as possible. I haven't had much luck so far, and I keep seeing posts make the front page that are making big claims about short positions and Sept. 28th, including claims that shorts must cover or close by that date (for which I have found zero evidence).
I did my own DD on the matter, which can be found here.
A ton of long-dead OTC stocks have come back to life recently and it has me jacked, as I firmly believe the price action is an indicator that they are tied to GME. But I think there is some sneaky business in the works, and efforts are being made to suppress information. As far as I can tell, these stocks could be moved off the OTC market and begin trading on the private broker-dealer network called the "Expert Market", and this could be happening in a few weeks.
This market is by design not accessible to retail investors and the general public.
Why? Because the SEC has decided that certain OTC stocks are too dangerous for retail investors, and we must be protected from fraud and manipulation. ^(LOL)
No longer will retail or the general public be able to see prices for securities moved to this market, nor will retail investors be able to engage in trading on this market. If our reanimated OTC stocks get moved to this "Expert Market" it will hide valuable data, as we will no longer be able to see what is happening with the price, volume, etc.
Don't believe me? Here are the highlights from my DD:
The website of the company who operates the broker-dealer network <-- They tell you straight up that many stocks will be moving to this private network, and they state that "Quotations (prices) in Expert Market securities are restricted from public viewing. Only broker-dealers and professional or sophisticated investors are permitted to view quotations in Expert Market securities."
The SEC filing itself, this is the primary source <-- This filing confirms the claim above, and outlines what securities will be moved to the private network, which includes: securities with outdated financial statements, including shell companies, as well as SECURITIES FOR COMPANIES THAT ARE UNDERGOING CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS.
Of course there's nuance and exceptions to the r
... keep reading on reddit β‘I've being using HG for a while. Today I could not login into Playstation network from PS4. I couldn't also access https://store.playstation.com/ from my pc. Checking headers when trying to access https://store.playstation.com/ from pc, I found out that the block was done on Akamai level (the company which provides bot and ddos protection among other services). Either HG clients use your ip for illegal actions, or use it improperly (e.g., spamming requests from same ip pool that often, that Akamai detects it as bot/ddos).
PS: suggestion to other HG users - don't use HG if you don't want to be blocked at some point.
PS2: I suggest you checking your ip addresses with Akamai ip check up tool https://www.akamai.com/us/en/clientrep-lookup

I want a FOSS file manager, but all the ones that I have seen recommendations for require full network access. Wondering why this is?
