A list of puns related to "GEA Westfalia Separator"
I am using an OSA 7-02-066 oil separator and have a leaky water valve (hot water) that pours 2lt/hr of water in the oil feed during operation.
I have 2 questions:
Thanks in advance.
Iβve been getting a lot of bowl speed low alarms during my run. We recently swapped our bowl to have ours maintenanced so this bowl is new to us. I havenβt seen any Fail To Shoots today, which is great! But Iβm curious where the low bowl speed is coming from, we had this alarm rarely with our actual bowl. Beer is super brite when this happens as well. The fuge will start to spin down when these alarms occur so you have to watch and continually acknowledge. Anyone have any insight?
We're pulling the trigger on a centrifuge and I'm trying to see what peoples experiences are with either the Alfa-Laval Brew 80 or the GEA HB05. I know of all the benefits of a centrifuge, what we're trying to decide is the pros and cons of either manufacturer. From everyone I talked to they're basically the same, both in terms of flow rates and separation capabilities. The GEA is more expensive and doesn't come with the automated inlet/outlet turbidity sensors, so it doesn't slow the flow for better separation. It's a 50K$ upgrade. So anyone with any experience with either machines?

... keep reading on reddit β‘My brother has been living in non-traditional dwellings since he was sixteen. Most recently, he is living in a 1982 Volkswagen Vanagon. Itβs new, heβs only been living in it for a few months.
I want to get him something for the van for Christmas. He hasnβt been able to do any purchases for it other than mechanical and necessary items. Something to make things more convenient or comfortable.
What is the best accessory you have purchased for your van?
This is the eighth and final track from Radioheadβs eighth album, The King of Limbs. How do you feel about this song? What are some of your favorite lyrics? How would you rank it among the rest of the bandβs discography? How would you rate it out of 10 (decimals allowed)?

blessing on your van! happy holidays! https://youtu.be/jrnM6ICI8Yk
I am brand new to this thread as well as camping life. My wife and I almost purchased a 2009 E450 RV back in the Spring , but decided it wasnβt the right time (I was out of work due to Covid). Now that itβs Fall weβd like to start planning out our Winter and Spring trips (possibly to Floria where family lives). We have two toddler who are unvaccinated so we wonβt do air travel.
Iβve owned a 1974 Super Beetle and know the quirks of older VWs. We also have a 1981 Mercedes 240D which has been both a joy to have but a pain in the wallet. What Iβm asking you as owners, is it worth making the investment in a $35,000 30 year camper? My thought is, life is too shortβ¦enjoy the adventure. Is the the Westfalia the adventure youβd recommend going on?
(also posted in r/Westfalia)I'm considering buying a 1982 VW T25 Westfalia Joker campervan, and want to cross-check the seriousness of rust and other issues with the folks here.
Pictures of the van:https://imgur.com/zsV867R
I drove the vehicle, drives fairly well for me. Manual steering, left-hand drive was a new experience, but enjoyed it - safely goes upto 80-90kph, but wouldn't drive it beyond that. Was driven fortnightly 100km+ for the 3-4 years pre-pandemic, but very little during the last year. Friend who's selling got the following work done by a mechanic (full revamp cost about 3500 USD+, and separate work over time):
It's passed the national roadworthiness testing recently. Gas heating works, fridge never worked. Friend also thinks the starter has an issue since the last 6 months, since it takes 2 tries to start the van. The leisure battery (not the main) needs replacing as well if I were to install fridge/lighting.
My concerns are around the rust:
So a few questions:
I'm going to look at a 1992 Westfalia this week. It's been a childhood dream of mine to get one so I'm frantically researching the campervan now it may actually be a reality. Something I didn't think would happen!
Anyway, I'm excited but don't want to walk into the purchase without thinking things through. So I thought who better to ask that people who own them!
Is there anything I should know about the camper? Any components that break frequently? Quirky annoying/endearing things about the camper? Is there a good website for info about the camper? (If so, I haven't found it yet!) Any upgrades we should consider?
The seller has installed a solar panel, it's has an awning, new battery, bike rack, tire, muffler, inverter, and states they done some mech and elec upgrades. Not sure what though (I will ask).
For context: I live in Alberta, Canada. We (husband and I) get very cold winters but glorious summers so that's when we'd use it the most. We have plans to travel alot next summer (hopefully) with our two dogs. We may need to work on the road too.
Thanks in advance!
