A list of puns related to "Fu Manchu moustache"
I learned recently that the fu manchu is considered a racist stereotype. I always assumed portrayals of Chinese people with fu manchus had a basis in Chinese history, and were something akin to the powdered wigs you see in portrayals of colonial Americans. When I attempted to verify this either way on google I was unable to find a satisfying answer.
Both Chen and Clouse have the facial hair and are both villians trying to take over the world. Is it too far of a stretch? Something feels off for me
Genuinely curious to see what the community's opinions are on the Fu Manchu.
Would you feel comfortable serving this new person in this mug?
How do you feel about them, both as a historical decor piece and when folks like Tiki Farm are still producing variations on it currently?
Let's be respectful and kind and avoid "woke/cancel culture/snowflake" name calling. I'm specifically talking about this mug and its place in tiki culture, not "tiki" as a whole being in the spotlight.
I hated this movie simply on the grounds that they had Christopher freaking Lee as the titular villain and they actually made him boring (I never thought that was possible), but rewatching it, it's amazing how much of an incoherent mess this thing is. Who edited this thing? At points it feels like they threw the footage into a blender and then randomly reassembled the footage. And that's not even counting the numerous scenes filmed in darkness or practically nonexistent lighting so that you have no clue what is going on. No wonder this film affects Joel, Tom and Crow so badly; just trying to figure out what the hell's going on will give you a headache.
