A little about me, im 30year old male and about a 12 hdcp. I’ve been up at Lake Frisco. You can get there by going north on Route 122. It’s a great camping spot up there. Us and a family friend went there once.

Plano — Fireworks will launch near the Plano Event Center. No onsite activities.

Forney – Live music, food vendors and fireworks at Community Park, 241 S. FM 548, Forney from 4 to 10 p.m. Visitors are asked to respect social distancing.

Frisco — Parking will be available at four Toyota Stadium parking lots for viewing the 9:30 p.m. fireworks display. Other Frisco Freedom Fest events have been canceled. friscofreedomfest.org.

The Colony – Fireworks will launch in the vicinity of The Five Star Complex, 4100 Blair Oaks Dr. Watch from your vehicle. Parking opens at 8:30 p.m.

Little Elm – Simultaneous displays at Little Elm Park (ticketed event, parking will be limited for social distancing) and near Little Elm High School.

Lake Grapevine – Display will be viewable from parks and marinas around the lake. Parking and entrance fees may be in effect.

McKinney – Fireworks will launch from Craig Ranch Soccer Park, 6375 Collin McKinney Parkway. Gates open at 8:30 p.m. and visitors are asked to respect social distancing.

Wife and I moved here to the Frisco area a few months ago. Left the Army at that time so completely new to the DFW area. Any suggestions on things to check out would be awesome. Open to traveling a bit as well

So I stayed at the Hyatt Regency that’s connected to Stonebriar. Dammit taking a shower there felt like I was at a natural spring or something. It was magical. I’m just curious, is Frisco water in that area well water?

Coming from Houston with an older home, so our pipes aren’t as “fresh.” Our water is fed from Lake Houston. It kinda sucks tbh.

My family (3 young kids) wife, and I are going to relocate from Montana to Texas next summer. We've decided on the Denton/Corinth/Aubrey/Frisco areas. Our budget is about 500k. Being that we have kids, our primary needs are neighborhood safety and good schools.

Any particular communities or neighborhoods we should look at or stay away from?? Thanks in advance for any response!

Keep in mind these are hiking areas, not specific trails or routes. For example, at Hessie Trailhead you can branch off to at least a half dozen routes. But this will be a good start to research more specific trails to get on. Definitely recommend more - I know there's a ton more out there I haven't found yet.

Most of these hikes are accessible year round, but you might need 4WD. A few might be snowed in. Always check before you go!
