A list of puns related to "French Gothic architecture"
Or a better way of putting it is why did they name it "gothic architecture" even though it did not come from the goths.
Really? This is what disturbs my holy rest? Ya'll are idiots.
Gotham's skeletal architecture and gargoyle decorations match the cities nature perfectly. But if you think about it from an in universe perspective, it's kind off funny. And one wonders how Gotham's people are comfortable living in a city like this? And it also makes me wonder... people of all ages live in Gotham. So obviously there have to be schools and daycare centers for the children of Gotham. But do you think they are also built with gothic architecture and are decorated with gargoyles?
I want an anime that look like it could be straight out of Castlevania or certain parts of Dark Souls (yes I know there is a Castlevania show).
Also, I would like a show and not a movie. (I know some people were probably going to suggest Vampire Hunter D lol)
Think set pieces involving tall, dark castles, high vaulted ceilings, and stained glass. And people in elegant and elaborate outfits and dresses.

"Little is known about Wenzel von Olmรผtz, who is thought to have principally been active as a goldsmith in Central Europe. He is best known for his printed oeuvre which includes reproductions after the most important masters of his day, among which works after Martin Schongauer and the young Albrecht Dรผrer.
The current, very rare impression of a gothic baldachin and its plan is one of four known designs of this kind, reproducing designs found in the archives of the late-gothic building lodge of the minster church in Ulm. Alongside prints by the master mason Alart Du Hameel, the Master W with the Key and two booklets published by Mathes Roriczer and Hanns Schmuttermayer, this series is one of the first important projects dedicated to furthering architectural knowledge through the medium of print."

For those interested in the more mysterious aspects of the legacy of Gothic architecture, in particular of the cathedrals, as well as the general topic of alchemy I can't help but recommend Fulcanelli as well:

I know itโs a stretch but is there some type of book out there that explains the history of gothic architecture and its designs? Any kind of info would be appreciated
