A list of puns related to "Free culture movement"
I remember back when I was at university and I became more aware of certain movements as a reaction to certain injustices, whether done directly or indirectly, I was keen to join these movements but how I was "indoctrinated" made me aware that the message that I came across made me close to being a part of the cancel culture as it often involved reactions towards the perceived "injustices" with zealotry and sometimes misused anger or violence
My argument is that this is the fault of two extremes where one's actions, even they are meant to be genuine in theory, end up done with extreme means and done for self-justification and self-desire of what they deem as justified or intermingled with the image that it is done for social justice;
and there is the other end where journalists and other posters of social media post about their fears and numbers of how woke culture is slowly rising and creeping into our homes, and where businesses and corporations implement these woke culture attitudes like multiculturalism as a way to appeal customers and employees.
I think that this is a genuine concern because I keep encountering stories of people who are being so silenced over things that are taken so out of context that legal terms are changed or people cannot do their jobs or they are even persecuted online or physically by others or are even fired or given death threats.
I keep encountering stories of journalists, professors and other experts who cannot do their jobs or are cautious of what they can or cannot say or do, or certain things are censored like historical events and facts or things like statues and artifacts that are deemed as 'inappropriate' through a distorted view of social justice which I think that it contradicts the idea of enlightenment or education
This is especially the case if it is taken out of context or if the action itself is actually done in poor taste, the reaction is done to an extreme level.
Maybe the person is genuinely affected but does not necessarily mean that the person should retaliate with sheer force where the other person has no right to freedom of speech or the right to have a job.
I think that this is a case of unresolved personal trauma or personal issues, or a lack of skill on how to be aware and tackle with one's emotions, attitudes and reactions (something like emotional intelligence)
I think that this is especially scary for those who genuinely want to join certain movements but are forced to follow certain ide

People's choices in social media platforms do not value "freedom" the way our movement tends to think of it. The top priority is in the exchange of information. Information is valuable in its transience, not its secure and private storage. This means that viewership and design are essential. How can privacy-respecting free software social media services compete in this kind of environment?
So why do we put so much responsibility on individual users? As a movement, we challenge oppressive power structures in media and computing, which requires individual support, but we must always target those dominating entities. How do we act beyond boycotting proprietary software and cultural works, to strategically topple these media and technology monopolies?
We can no longer afford to be an isolated, inward-facing movement. It's time to leave our legacy of liberalism behind us and form coalitions with groups opposing ableism, colonialism, imperialism, prisons, racial/gender/sexual violence, class oppression, etc. How do we broaden our understanding of the relationship between technology and other issues of oppression and modify our messaging around that?

Just something I was noticing when I was thinking back to the "Beer and Whiskey League".
TL;DR about that? Ethnic Germans in Cincinnati and other places had to start their own league because the east coast puritans wanted to abolish drinking at baseball games.
I see a lot of this stuff has been propped by major private academic institutions and other places where upperclass WASPs were the group leading the charge. A lot of the CRT sort of stuff being forced upon workers feels very much like class warfare and an attempt to silence the working class.
It feels like an attempt to silence those seeking economic and personal justice. Like the therapist before that told a white woman to "Think how bad blacks have it" when she was trying to confide in her about her sexual assault.
It also feels like the vitriol is not actually directed towards places of power but rather back at various ancestors of european ethnic immigrants.
Can they be merged with anarchist/socialist causes?
Here's mine: "The free culture movement aims to free society from masters and gatekeepers that dictate how we may express ourselves, share ideas, and communicate with one another."
Does that successfully cover the issues free culture is concerned with?
It was just announced that Kanye West and Drake will be holding a Free Larry Hoover benefit concert in early December. I've head of Hoover and those advocating for his release before but never did much research. Since Kanye dropped his new album with a track featuring Larry Hoover, Jr on it, I have become a bit more interested and started researching more. And for the life of me, I do not understand why they want the man freed. However, I acknowledge that I may be missing information or perspective, so I was curious if anybody had a non biased overview of why there is a movement to free the founder of the Gangster Disciple's, or is it just Kanye and Hoover's son making a push?

I don't expect it on last gen given that might be why they are holding back...but once they've made the full jump to next gen I expect traversal to be FIRST and foremost on their priority list to update to accommodate for better loading.
Characters like Hulk should get larger jumps, charge jump for more control, and another look at their wall grabs to give them more freedom.
Spidey, is missing a charge jump...something iconic to the games he is in.
And they are going to keep adding characters that all deserve a charge jump.
Characters like Kate Bishop need greater mobility with their teleports. Why is her aerial teleport like...4 feet away? It's so bad. She should be able to charge a teleport to go much further in the direction she is facing. She also should be able to teleport with much less restrictions...characters can literally up and fly away and Kate can't even teleport to a grapple point more than 10 feet in front of her. Why? She can literally choose where she wants to go in sight.
Aim'd grappling. Depending on the character you get increased range on grapple points while aiming. This way Kate could choose a grapple point much further away to give her a real teleportation fantasy instead of the rather blah one we have now that's barely an improvement on regular characters. This type of aim/grapple system could be applied to all types of characters.
Finally, fliers should fly faster.
I just really feel like, where this game shines should also be traversal and it is very hit or miss right now for reasons that aren't that complicated.
also, why the hell do half these characters not have wallrun? BW? Kate? Yet Hawkeye can? It doesn't make any sense.
