A list of puns related to "Frank Sinatra Conducts Tone Poems of Color"
Just reached 2500 in the collection, and am trying to trim down by about 1000. I'm gonna list by genre, so today I'll post about 90 jazz and soul records I'd like to sell. Shipping is $5 unlimited in the U.S. international is usually $20 to Canada, $26 to Europe and $30 to Australia (The Sinatra boxset is a different story). Payment through PayPal G&S only. I tried to price everything below Discogs US sellers, let me know if I missed something. You save on taxes too, so DM or chat me if you see anything you'd like to buy.
Thank you to everyone who purchased albums from my other genre lists. Your records have all been shipped.
I'll post some Hip Hop, Rock, Country and Classic Rock this week, so I can combine shipping. This link has everything (about 650 records) I'll be selling, but I'm still adjusting prices for some genres {Soundtracks & Classical, Classic Rock, Modern Rock, Pop/R&B) so if you see something you like I can quote you on a price.
Though now, as my killer kicked back and placed his feet atop my freshly deceased corpse as if it were an ottoman, My Way didnβt have quite the same sound.
Also, anyone who disagrees Jersey is just as cool as New York can suck Vito's cock.
The Discogs link is essential, it will show the exact copy/variant for each vinyl.

My voice is deep but when I try to sing high notes it doesnβt sound like my voice anymore, even though Iβm using chest voice
Love him or hate him, itβs hard to deny his impact on 20th Century music, pop culture, and even politics.
Are you now a fan? Were you way back when?
Edit After reading some of the comments and thinking it over, I retract my claim that he was the dean of American crooners. We can argue over who that was but itβs not Sinatra.
I recently started listening to and learning about music from the 1950s as a New Years resolution. One thing stands out immediately: the same songs chart over and over again, by different artists. To take one example, "Chattanoogie Shoe Shine Boy" charted in the early months of 1950 by Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Bill Darnell, "Bradford and Romano", and Red Foley. Other songs were similar: I found 7 charted variations on "Rag Mop", 6 of "Old Master Painter", 6 of "Dear Hearts and Gentle People", and the list goes on. Something close to 20% of charting songs in the early part of 1950 were alternate versions of a song that previously charted. Both Billboard and Cash Box maintained song charts separate from the recording artist, to track hot songs regardless of cover.
But by the 1970s or 80s, this feels all but impossible. It's impossible to think of a song like "Stayin' Alive" or "Beat It" as anything outside their own artist. But perhaps I have a selection bias? I have a vague notion that Elvis did a lot of covers, but not the Beatles or Rolling Stones. Was the practice lost as part of the British Invasion?
Alternatively, was this a form of competition by the labels? If song X was getting airtime, would different music companies encourage their own talent to record and release the same song to try to fight for airtime?
Thanks for helping me to better understand this period of music history!
Greetings, everybody!
I'm a member of the Church of Frank Sinatra. Though we've been around since the lat 90's, we're still pretty small and remain unkown by many.
If you have any questions about our faith (particularly the chapter I'm starting), I'd be more than happy to help you.
Have a nice day.
Well my cycling friends. Today is the day I almost died - okay, okay, okay! Maybe a bit of an exaggeration but today is the day I almost got severely injured.
I'm visiting my parents in a beachy area on the East Coast that is very bike friendly with hundreds of miles of bike lanes. I decided to go for a long bike ride today to make up for yesterday's gluttony so I hit the road and was enjoying the unseasonably warm weather and minimal winds.
As I'm about 12 miles into my ride, I start approaching a construction area that has probably a miles worth of those big round orange traffic barrels every 6 feet or so (stay socially distant my friends!). Despite the construction area, the bike lane is still open but the barrels are to my right, car lane to my left, and then more barrels in the middle of the road between the 2 lane roadway. Okay, the scene is set - can you see it? Can you feel the sun beaming down with a slight cool breeze gently billowing on my skin? Do you feel how great I feel?! Moving on.
I'm going about 19mph when a car next to me freaks out about the construction cones, swerves into my bike lane, I swerve a hard right to avoid the car and get thrown into one of those massive orange construction barrels. I felt and saw everything happen in slow motion. My clipless peddles going over my head. My body skidding across the pavement. My bike being above me and my internal panic and thoughts of "NOOOO NOT MY BRAND NEW 2021 TREK CHECKPOINT ALR 5!!!"
I'm embarrassed but physically I'm fine. My bike looked fine - no scratches, no damage to be seen. Everyone around me stops to ask if I'm okay. I'm so embarrassed. I tell everyone I'm fine and to leave not realizing that my new winter padded pants are ripped and I'm bleeding. Everyone keeps asking me if I'm okay. I'M FINE PLEASE GO!!! IM SO EMBARRASSED!!! Meanwhile I'm also panicking trying to stop my Garmin from alerting all my emergency contacts and 911.
I hopped back on the bike and finished the rest of my ride to the Atlantic Ocean. Bike is perfectly fine - I just have major road rash and bruises from mid thigh to waist and my left wrist is a bit sore.
Overall, a great riding day!
