A list of puns related to "Four Hitokiri of the Bakumatsu"
Title.
Anyone remember the absolutely retarded "HeBy On ReD" quality that Hitokiri had with his opener heavies that had HA after 300ms? Well, I hated that too, but I also hated the part where his opener heavies were 700ms as well. That pissed me off more, safe to say.
But since then, his heavies have been nerfed, speed and HA and damage alike. And while I agree a lot with all of them at the time, that was due to the rules of GB vulnerability being tied to attack speed.
But with that being thrown out, maybe it's time to rethink on some aspects of some characters. Namely, Hitokiri.
Now, a 700ms chargeable heavy w/ HA on the last 400ms was outright insane. But with the nerf to HA and to GB vulnerability, would the 700ms heavies be outrageous now?
Just lastnight there were 3 of them on the enemy team. All in a party, and deathballing. I get an invite after we lose. And they all are saying how bad I am and how I lost and blablabla. And then I hear a voice that sounds familiar. It was the same losers I met 3 months ago who were so salty that i beat them that they called me a pussy, a bitch, said my girlfriend was "imaginary" and a slut. And that I'm a horrible player. And since they are "24 year old" losers. Who act 12. I invited my friends, who they instantly kicked and started saying they were shit and that I'm shit and blablabla. So then they invite my 12 year old brother to a "1v1" then 2v1 him and tell him to kill himself and said that he's a pussy too and that he sucks while constantly correcting his vocabulary. So, "24 year old" kids who play hitokiri, please go back to forntite, Never lose your virginity, and stay in your parents basement. We don't need you now, we won't need you ever. Thanks! Losers.
The Terror with Tuberculosis, the Bronchial Bad Bitch, the Asthmatic Avenger. For a time, Hitokiri was one of the most divisive heroes in For Honor. After some much-needed nerfs, sheβs still an extremely powerful hero, but far more balanced than she was before. But where does she stand now.
Despite the death of Heby On Red, Hitokiri still has some great tools in her kit. The most powerful of these being her kick mix-up, which, in my opinion, is a slightly weaker Warden Should Bash.
The Rei kick has several variable timings, the last of which gives her hyper-armor. Much like the shoulder bash, itβs extremely difficult to react to. The earlier times for the kick guarantee a heavy, while the sweep which comes from the last timing guarantees a light. In addition, this can be feinted at any point to give a guard break. So, here we have three options, all of which guarantee damage which chains into another kick, which can create a deadly vortex for your enemy.
Beyond this, Hitokiri still has her somewhat quick lights and variable heavies. The lights are nothing special, although the second light gains hyper-armor. Any second attack in the chain gains hyper-armor, and heavies can be chained infinitely in this manner. The variable heavies also present a decent mix-up, and can be used to bait parries and guardbreaks. Only the end of the charge gains hyper-armor now, but the variable timings are still a potent mixup tool.
Iβve been having a lot of fun with Hitokiri as of late, and since sheβs not nearly as busted as she was before, playing her isnβt as toxic. Overall sheβs a great hero who has a lot of potential, and Iβd definitely say sheβs both safe and enjoyable to play now that the hatred around her has evaporated.
Iβve been seeing this opinion get thrown around a bit lately and I was curious as to why. I thought she didnβt get any significant changes?
If I get instakilled by her bullshit OP feat or die due to EVERYTHING having hyper armor one more time I'm sending my controller through the fucking tv
I've notice this during a Dominion and I've saved the video but is very fast and needs more testing, anyway, you know that you can stop the execution by just press GB to hitokiri even if had that feat active? Well this is nothing, that feat can also give you a disadvantage and force you to not execute for a good reason ...why?
That's is what happen on me: After exit from the Revenge I gets the "vengeful barrier" shield but in the same time I kill an enemy (Without lost all the vengeful barrier shield) and I start the execution. When the execution was finished ,and the shield of "deliverance" disappear,i've also lost my "vengeful barrier" shield (noone attacks me during that period).
Now I have to test this because,if that feat remove all previous shield will be a sort of BUG or if is intended,is very frustrating and that feat IMO will be kinda useless in most of the situations.
Anyone can test this ? Or have already tested?
Sorry for my bad English
Since hiyokiri's nuetral heavies are 700ms does that make his/her heavies have the same gb vulnerability as his/her lights?
I.e. if i think opponent will GB i should do a heavy instead of a light to max damage?
The Shadows of the Hitokiri Event is now online. There is a community quest to perform 23000000 executions for a reward of 2000 steel and a frame.
Additionally just like the Black Prior's Event in the past you can gain a new effect called Spirits of Kaidan.
Also every Faction gains a new unique Mask Outfit: Morta's Fate for the Knights, Hel's Scion for the Vikings, Shinigami's Oath for the Samurai and finally Yama's Court for the Wu Lin.
A new Battle Outfit called Secret of Kaidan is available to be looted as well.
Lastly there is also a new ornament called Survivor of Kaidan.
The event lasts for 400 hours. During this time all players have the chance to gain the effect in all categories, the battle outfit and the ornament after finishing matches.
The mask outfit can be purchased for 20000 Steel.
Have fun playing Warriors!
Edit: An event mode called Soul Rush is out too. Kill soldiers to get their souls and secure them at Soul Zones. Reach 1000 Points to break the enemy team and kill them all to win.
Edit 2: There are also singular symbols to obtain.
I got the steel just wondering if its good or naw
Title really. Not much to be said, I just don't understand what circumstance would lead a hitokiri player to use the sweep instead of the kick, i thought that maybe it would take longer to come out and if someone tried to dodge the kick, the sweep would catch them but that's not the case, if you dodge the kick, you'll also dodge the sweep, I thought it was difficult to dodge because it is a "sweeping" attack, again, not the case, it's as easy to dodge as the kick. Also it grants less damage than the kick, much less. Can someone please enlighten me as to how the sweep is used effectively, I'm clearly missing something much obliged!
Is it some Japanese demon or something?
Will the shadows of hitokiri bundle be available after the event ends, like it ends in about 3 and a half hours but when that happens will the bundle still be up with the emote?

Does anyone know whether the menu background exists as a wallpaper? It looked so good.
How do I obtain the trio unit? I'm getting like 40 jerry's but none of the trio for some reason :/
I actually do Shaolin training (not in actual temples or anything like that), but I steered away from this character after seeing his move list when he was released. It was incredibly overwhelming at first sight, but recently, I went back to Nobushi do to the guard rework, but it still wasn't good enough after getting pummeled by hitokiri unblockables and raider stun taps. I went to training with Shaolin, learned his whole moveset, bought an epic execution, and I'm absolutely in love. Pretty incredible that some of the moves actually inherit actual Shaolin combat if not a little showy, best part yet, I can actually survive in domination again. Well done ubi.
Hitokiri. Something of a shinigami, soul-eater-type character. With their ghostly voices(or gravely, if they're male) and their executioner-style masks, they look to be pretty cool heroes.
Until you play as or against one. Then you find out that she's missing a lot of substance and flow, and whatever substance he has is quite bad in design. Also her "Mugen-ryu" sounds like something important, but it doesn't have any real meaning other than "you're chaining".
With neutral heavies that have both speed and HA, she demolishes other players by simply screwing up parries, and gets rewarded for doing so. And yet she hardly uses her chain heavies since, when it comes to power, they are much weaker than her neutral heavies, since they are 800ms and lack HA. Then she has a variable-timed bash(ala Warden), which is only used for the kick since the sweep has few uses as it is longer and guarantees less damage.
Then Hito finds out that her zone and dodge heavy doesn't chain, and that just adds to Hito's temptation to simply use the neutral heavies and kick.
Hitokiri, making use of her lacking moveset, thusly turns out to be: a turtle from neutral, and a bash spammer in chain, since that's all she has.
In this rework, her issues of flow, substance, and weak chains will be fixed to make Mugen-ryu, her "mode"(which was all I could describe it as), more rewarding.
Heavies
Hito's neutral heavies were far stronger than her chain heavies in speed and HA. This is clearly a bad design choice, especially in a fighting game. With these changes, there will be a better incentive to use the chain heavies.
New Move: Executioner's Arc
While side dodging, Hito swings her ax in a wide yet short arc.
Speed: 600ms
Damage: 25
Input: side dodge + heavy
Input window: 100-400ms
Properties: Can chain
Hitokiri, like all the other Y3 heroes, doesn't have a side dodge attack. But unlike Black Prior(who has a full-block that can counter almost everything) or Jorg(who has a neutral bash that can act as the poor man's dodge bash), Hitokiri really has no way to punish bashes. With this, Hito will have a way to punish from a side dodge and, with the Mugen-Ryu changes, they will be given an offensive purpose.
