Longtime lurker but I felt like this was a good time to post this story given the Timo episode yesterday.
9 years ago, almost to the day, my wife was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer while she was 6 months pregnant with our third child.
My third child was born while my wife was going through chemo so I was the main caregiver for a newborn girl. I also had an 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter.
We are in Chicago so, being up early, nothing much on but Premier League soccer on the weekends. So we decided to βadoptβ a club. Since my brother lived in the Chelsea neighborhood at one point, we decided on CFC. And so began a love affair with the club. My son loved Oscar and we watched virtually every game.
Fast forward two years later. Unfortunately, while putting up a valiant fight, my wife lost her battle. Leaving me with three kids to raise.
We had some friends that were ex-pats living in Cobham and somehow they alerted the club to our situation and about our love of the club.
So I was checking the mail and there was a large box postmarked from the UK. Opening it up there were signed jerseys from both Oscar and Petr Cech. Which made my kids smile after a VERY difficult last two years.
But the most amazing part is that shortly after that we received a 90 second video from Fernando that was very personalized to my kids while he was in Brazil training for WC with Spain. For a superstar to take the time out of what must have been a very busy schedule to do that for some kids that were dealing with such a loss is the personification of class.
So, when I read about a fan with bad behavior, I get frustrated because I know first hand what an amazing club this is and how lucky we, as fans, are to be part of it.
And that, dear readers, is why I will be a Chelsea fan for life as will all of my children.
And, BTW, the now 8 year old is all in on soccer (Pulisic her favorite!) and can keep a ball in the air juggling for over 500 touches now so maybe a future Blue as well!
With a little luck, I will be able to get to a game in person once this pandemic is all over!

I'm asking myself if I should redeem Torres with ef points, because MVB quite recently has been very off, before he was a beast for me, now he seems to miss easy chances, not scoring many goals and bangers like he was doing before. How has been MVB for you these days? Nad should I replace him with Torres?
I Packed Kluivert in FCB Draw hoping for neymar and i was dissapointed.after watching some youtube videos i came to know that he is actually good.i currently use fernando torres(legend) at CF PLS suggest which should i use
i have been reading some reviews on both versions of Torres (ATM & Liverpool) the ATM one seems to miss easy chances and the Liverpool one has a better rate of finishing even after having one less stat in finishing. so which one is better in terms of scoring? and will the Liverpool Torres be available in the EFP shop next season?
