A list of puns related to "Fabio Lione"
I am curious as to what my fellow metalheads think. RoF and BG are my absolute favorite bands and if I could only listen to two bands for the rest of my life it would be these two. Anyway, I have been listening to them all morning and got to thinking, "I wonder what the general concensus is as to who people prefer vocally".
For me personally this is an insanely difficult choice to make because to me they are both absolutely amazing vocalists. But if I absolutely had to pick between them I would probably have to say Fabio but by a very small margin, and it could honestly depend on my mood and the day lol.
What does everyone think?
He is not the only power metal vocalist to dabble in eurobeat. Rob Tyrant of Labyrinth and Kiko Loureiro of Angra did as well. Here is a megamix that has a large amount of their songs. As someone who likes both eurobeat and metal, this is pleasantly surprising.
Notice I said βgreat singers.β I like a lot of work by both guys, but I donβt believe they live up to the hype. Fabio especially. Some of the Rhapsody stuff is just painful.
For me, vocalists are the make or break for bands. If I donβt like the vocalist, itβs an automatic rejection, I wonβt listen to your music. There are generally four areas that I consider when listening to a vocalist when determining if I like them or not:
Range: the span of notes that are sung and how well they are sung
Accuracy: the pitch of the notes in relation to the key signature, intervals etc
Tone: the quality or color of the voice itself, consistency when singing different ranges
Expression: conveying of emotion and the meaning of the lyrics, pronunciation and technique
RATE Fabio Lione
36/40
Example: 10/40 is below average. 20/40 is average. 30/40 is very good. 40/40 is perfect (and no one is perfect)
Range: 9/10
Fabio has strong highs and lows, seemingly comfortable throughout this range.
Accuracy: 9/10
At times his expressiveness and vibrato interfere with his accuracy being absolutely perfect, such as sliding into notes and letting notes fall off.
Tone: 9/10
Fabioβs tone has a good timbre and is adaptable. He knows how to adjust his tone to sound more bright or dark depending on whatβs needed to best express the message of the song, such as brightening his voice to sound more angelic and darkening his voice to sound more menacing.
Expression: 9/10 Dramatic, Fabio has a great variety of different emotions throughout his repertoire and he commits 100% of his energy. His softs are supported and his more growly parts only enhance the story being told. At times Fabioβs heavy accent bothers me when it affects pronunciation of words, which is why I have him at a 9 instead of a 10. Specifically I would have rated his expression at a 10 if his annunciation was clearer there was a little more importance placed on singable consonants, such as n and m.
Favorite vocal examples
This is probably my favorite Rhapsody song because of its high energy and the orchestral and choral elements.
Steelgods of the Last Apocalypse
I really like the vocal harmonies and the variety of expression, dynamics and tone.
I wished Rhapsody (of Fire) composed more ballads as good as this one because this is beautiful and really shows off Fabioβs operatic voice.
