Hi,
I am closing a house tomorrow at 11 a.m. and I've just realized that my Credit Union has placed a "permenant hold" on a deposit per their website. It's been at least a month since I Deposited the check. All debit functions correctly. There doesn't seem to be a hold on my account, just that payment.
Weird thing is, it was for 29,000. I had $5,000 successfully deposited, but the remaining $24,000 has a permanent hold.
I was reading FDIC regulations (https://www.fdic.gov/regulations/laws/rules/6500-3240.html) and section 602 makes it clear that a financial institution may not take more than 4 business days to credit the account for the amount of the check.
This check was a certified check (signed by the bank). The bank is in northern Pennsylvania, and my credit union is in WNY (about a 10 minute drive from the border). Even if it went through a non-local check clearing house, it should still take no longer than four days, correct? And there's no way a certified check could bounce, because it's the banks obligation to pay that, correct?
So I know my bank is an FDIC member, but I didnt know if it mattered if they were a bona-fide "bank".
Does anyone have information or advice?
Thank you
Received denial from FDA for an expedited review of the submitted request under the FOI act. The reason provided for this denial was βYou have not demonstrated a compelling need that involves an imminent threat to the life or physical safety of an individual. Neither have you demonstrated that there exists an urgency to inform the public concerning actual or alleged Federal Government activityβ.
My response is provided below:
Thanks for your message and for reviewing my request.
I would like to file an appeal as my request is a "compelling need" due to the current pandemic and also pertains to both categories 1) βan imminent threat to the life or physical safety of an individual," and (2) βinform the public concerning actual or alleged Federal Government activity.β
I am providing the reasons on why I believe that my request meets the above two requirements:
a. Currently there are no approved treatments available for critical COVID-19 patients and based on the clinical data from Phase 3 trials, Leronlimab is the only drug which has demonstrated a statistically significant 82% reduction in mortality at 14 days for critically ill COVID-19 patients with 400% improvement in clinical outcome based on ordinal scale with discharge rate much better in Leronlimab with p-value statistically significant.
b. For Mild-to-moderate phase 2 trails, at the End of Treatment (or Day 14), patients in the Leronlimab group were more than twice as likely to experience a beneficial improvement in The National Early Warning Score (NEWS) compared to patients in the placebo group (50% vs 20%; p=0.0223)
c. Based on the company communications with FDA, they had requested four weekly doses (7,14, 21 &28 days) as the half-life of Leronlimab is only 10 days. However, this request was declined by the FDA and the company had to continue their trials with only two doses (7 and 14 days).
d. As FDA has not given EUA to Leronlimab, the company is being forced to pursue other countries for approval, which will lead to non-availability of this critical drug to US Citizens due to limited availability of vials.
a. We strongly believe that FDA actions are biased and not data driven. FDA has approved EUA for drugs (Remdesivir etc.) which have very high side effects and did not meet the primary end points. However, these were m

It's really weird. I thought if we applied through Womply before the deadline date of May 28th and if we received our first draw, then funds were set aside for our second draw as well. Can anyone help clarify?
Moving from Robinhood to Schwab was a smart move, but why my transfers from Bank of america takes 2 days to be available for me to trade? That is a big deal, Fidelity and Robinhood are available for trading in minutes.

I recently transferred USDT to Kucoin but only half shows up as available funds and the other half shows up as unavailable but I have no open orders etc. anyone else run into this issue? Iβve transferred funds before without this problem. Not sure why itβs happening all of a sudden and I have yet to hear back from Kucoin about the matter.
None of my USDT or USDC is available after loaning it out and getting paid back over a month and a half ago.
Have not received a response from the support team in 2 weeks.

With heavy heart, I am writing here that two of four of my extended family members have passed away due to COVID 19, this past week alone.
Sometimes people don't get admissions in hospitals, other times there is lack of oxygen cylinders, can we do something.
Government should step in and create Temples, churches, mosques and Gurudwara as makeshift hospitals. Serving the sick is as if serving the God.
I am new to trading. My funds are always available immediately after my sale on Robinhood. I don't have Gold account. I was able to day trade 2 times on the same day with same amount multiple times. When I did the same thing on WeBull , I was flagged and received a warning. I wanted to get some clarification on this and do not want to get banned for doing this
Hello everyone, like a lot of people here I started my FIRE journey not too long ago and I am still learning many things - in great part thanks to this sub!
I started by investing some of the money I had lying around through my bank (BNP) - which I know isn't ideal and I am in the process of getting a Bolero account and slowly moving my investments there once I recoup the fees, etc.
Meanwhile, when I search for ETFs through the bank, it appears the selection is extremely limited, is this normal? Is it related to the country or the broker?
For instance, when I make a general search for Amundi (randomly), it only returns 7 ETFs.
And a related question, when I search (again somewhat randomly) for the climate change ETFs on justetf, if my country is set to belgium it tells me no ETFs are available, but if I set the country to Luxembourg for example then 23 ETFs are available. And indeed, when searching all of them through my bank with the ISIN, I cannot find any of them (except for the BNP ETF which is logical). So my question is this, will more ETFs be available with Bolero and is this simply BNP not offering them, or is this a country specific availability issue and regardless of which broker I use I am severely limited in the ETFs I can invest in ?
I apologize if this has been asked before, I did search through and through and couldn't find anything related to this on the sub.
So I still see organisation and ministers asking people to donate to PM-Care fund. All is this fake publicity. You will never know where your money goes. Government is not obligated to share your the details of spendings.
Instead donate to your State Relief fund or National Relief fund which comes under RTI.
What are your views?
