A list of puns related to "Ethan Peck"
In my opinion, Ethan Peck canβt play Spock
I sure was hoping to see him in Terra Firma part 2. Just a casual bump in with Mirror Pike and Mirror Spock, but as a fun reference and also to keep them relevant and in the fan's eyes during this long gap between Disco S2 and Strange New Worlds.
Watching the show for the first time currently on season 2 episode 10 and noticed something
Is it just me or does Ethan Peck sound a lot like Peter Dinklage ? That's all folks

I met Them all @ Ottawa Comic Con today and added their autographs to my collection!!!! They were all super nice, Ethan Peck that led me for the honour of including him on the poster.
A great group!
I was surprised. I like Zachary Quinto's Spock. I think it's really good. I recognize the character, and I empathize with him as Spock.
Leonard Nimoy was and is Spock for me, but it goes a little deeper than that. I was weird as a kid, in the same kind of way as Spock, because I'm mixed race. I grew up in a time and place where that kind of thing mattered to the people I grew up with, and they let me know, and most of the people around me were unkind about it, children and adults.
There were two things that I learned from TV, of all places, to help me get through it. The first was Mister Rogers, who taught me that I could be kind, and be myself, that I was fine the way I was, and that I didn't have to be cruel to other people even if they were cruel to me.
The second was Spock, who felt like me. I saw how calm he could be, even as other people teased him or disbelieved him or thought he was strange. He just went on. I saw him in the Naked Time, This Side of Paradise and Amok Time lose his composure, get really emotional, but be able to overcome it, to get his composure back. I really understood who he was, and it felt like I had someone, even if that someone was just a character on a TV show, to help me keep myself. And for the bulk of the time he was on the show, with maybe the exception of The Galileo Seven, he was deeply empathetic, as part of his logic. He understood people for the most part, which made it stand out when their behavior confused him. This also spoke to me deeply.
And then along comes Ethan Peck, and I'm blown away. He embodies something deep about Spock, and his performance is wondrous. I see that same character, in a way I didn't think I'd ever get to see again after Leonard Nimoy died.
So, yeah, I want to see Ethan Peck keep going as Spock. I don't care if it fits into canon or not. He could be on Discovery, he could be on both of the final 5 year missions of the Starship Enterprise before it went to Kirk. It could be anything. But I want to see him continue, and I'm pleasantly surprised by that.
Man, just typing that phrase 'Starship Enterprise' - I want to see that show, not just Ethan Peck as Spock, but Anson Mount as Christopher Pike and Rebecca Romjin as Number One. I mean, you don't just cast Rebecca Romjin for one scene CBS! :)
I dunno, what do you think?
Even in this distraught state, you can see he is rooted in Nimoyβs portrayal. I also detect hints of James Frainβs Sarek when heβs talking. Which is crazy to me, because the two already look and sound like they could be related.
PS: βSay goodbye, Spockβ
βGoodbye, Spockβ
Calgary Expo 2019. I'd post a photo but cant in this sub. Got them to sign my Eaglemoss XL Discovery Enterprise 1701
Of all the panels at the Montreal Comiccon, the Discovery one was the most interesting. Mount and Peck, who play Pike and Spock in S2 of Discovery, really dove into their characters, the writing process, what it was like landing the roles etc etc. It was really informative and included messages of hope and optimism. I wrote a rather meaty write up on it and if you want to read any of it, it's over here but figured fans of the show would want to see what they had to say.
