A list of puns related to "Estate jewelry"
I have inherited some solitaire rings (circa 1900) and really need the money more than the rings. Does anybody locally buy this kind of jewelry?
Husband and I are coming in town in a few weeks. Weβre Vaxxed & boosted. We are both originally from Louisiana, although both also moved away at a very young age. Anywayβ¦.Iβd love to add a band to my wedding set and thought we would browse while we are in town.
Any suggestions? Iβve checked post history and any recommendations are older posts.
Thanks in advance.
Seeking gap year+ advice
Hello All,
I am working on a career change from estate jewelry to historic preservation architecture. I have an undergrad degrees in Economics and Art + Architectural History. The last five years I have spent as a buyer and seller of estate jewelry, gemologist and appraiser.
From my research itβs looking like Iβll definitely need to go to school for M Arch and/or Historic Preservation. As that wonβt happen until Fall of 2023 at the earliest, I am looking for advice on how to spend my time through the next year and a half. I have heard suggestions of volunteering my time and energy to a local preservation society. Thatβs a good start for me, but would prefer to find a temporary position in the field that paid even modestly.
I am deeply unhappy in my current work environment and feel my personal confidence straining under the toxicity so I would really like to leave my current job if I can find an occupation that pays.
Most of the firms Iβm seeing require some sort of degree, which I donβt have, so if anyone has any experience In filling this gap intelligently and would be willing to offer advice it would be greatly appreciated, even if itβs not architecture specific.
I prefer to buy vintage/antique/used/estate jewelry, and am always looking for new shops to browse. Does anyone have a favorite they use? My favorite so far is Maejean Vintage on etsy.
Angela Merkel and Warren Buffett are examples of prominent people who live prudently. It's a blatant lie to claim Aga Khan lives "prudently". Are Ismaili publications actually deranged or are there other motivations at play as to why they're publishing lies?
I am inheriting my mom's jewelry collection that has been appraised. I don't want any of it but I don't know where to take it to sell it that won't cheap out on me. I'm sure it helps it has all been appraised, but do I go to a jeweler or do I have to sell it myself?? Any recommendations in the GTA or Ottawa area or just tips to avoid getting screwed would be so appreciated!
Thanks in advance for any help!
My wife recently lost both of her parents unexpectedly, and the estate sale was about a couple of weeks ago in Dallas. Due to a miscommunication with the company running the estate sale, one of the boxes of stuff we intended to save accidentally got sold! This is really distressing because a lot of those items looked cheap to others but had a lot of sentimental value to my wife. In particular, it was her mother's jewelry (not the "real" stuff, but the cheaper jewelry that was unique and had so much of her style), and she was really looking forward to wearing it in her daily life.
I'm looking to reach out to the people who were at the estate sale and ask to buy the sentimental stuff back. I understand that it was a perfectly legal sale; I just want to politely explain the situation and ask if they're willing to sell. How do people typically find out about estate sales? I'm hoping to post a notice in those same forums, whether online or in person, and hopefully reach the same people who found the sale in the first place.
Is there a better way to reach the people who were at the sale?
