Was Erwin Rommel a man of honor?
The British press of the time said how much of an honorable gentleman Erwin Rommel was. That as a man of principle he opposed Hitler but β did his dutyβ.
Is there any truth to that?

Considering the fact that he revolutionised usage of armoured wehicles in war, and the whole Ghost division thing, I think Erwin Rommel is a preatty good candidate for the title of Grand Rider.

Harry decides to not lead his forces into battle and instead uses the Resurrection Stone to call William T. Sherman and his army back from the dead to fight for the light. It's rather too bad that Voldemort had the same idea, and revived Erwin Rommel and his army via a dark ritual.
Meant to be crack as hell, just go absolutely wild.
The Desert Fox and Burnin' Sherman lead their armies in circles around each other, firing occasionally, while Harry and Voldemort beat the shit out of each other in the background, having snapped each other's wands early in the fight. All the while, Hermoine tries to extract as much info from both Sherman, Rommel, and the men in their armies as is humanly possible, Draco Malfoy hides in a bush, and the ghost of Dumbledore chats with the ghost of John Brown.

Field Marshal Erwin Rommel hoped to punch through the American line in Tunisia and capture the U.S. II Corps supply depot at Tebessa, Algeria. The hard lessons that the Americans learned regarding the organization of their armored divisions would pay off in future campaigns in Italy and France.
In October of 1944, Erwin Rommel was accused of conspiring against Hitler following the July 20th assassination attempt. He was forced to take a cyanide capsule by the SS, and his true cause of death was covered up by the Nazis to prevent Germans from losing morale in the war

What would Erwin Rommel's trial look like if he had not died?
