A list of puns related to "Edolo Pumped Storage Plant"
Sorry about the Facebook link. Thought that this info should get out to as many people as possible.
This is a school project. Weβre being tasked with modeling a pumped hydro-storage plant (similar to a hydroelectric dam) to optimize the energy efficiency and cost. Weβve been given equations for how much energy will leave the system at each component and basically the entire design is up to us (height between reservoirs, angle of pipes, how efficient and costly each component is, etc). I came across the PuLP library online and Iβm wondering if this is a good way to help model this problem or if there is a better package/method to use. Thank you!!!!
The biggest problem with renewables is the inability to store the power, or so I've been told. If pumped hydro plants can do exactly that, store lots and lots of power, why isn't there a huge push to build these facilities in the US? Is there some technical or physical drawback of using them that answers my above question aside from the obvious problem of efficiency loss associated with the process?
