A list of puns related to "East Bay"
Hello! I have a potential job offer back in the Bay Area. I'm excited because I grew up there and I've been eager to move back. The job offer is 73k per year before taxes (gross income). Is this enough to afford a 1 bedroom apartment for my small dog and I? Im hoping to keep the rent around 2k a month. Are those apartments hard to come by? I'm looking at the Fremont/Hayward/Union City area and maybe San Jose. I'm worried I might have to rent a room but I'm really trying to avoid that. Any insight from people who live in the Bay would be appreciated!
With the Raiders making the playoffs last night, I found myself curious about how much support they still have locally. I stopped being a Raider fan after the drama that transpired a few years ago, but I still see a fair amount of people wearing their gear and following their games despite them becoming a Vegas team.
Have other Oaklanders and East Bay natives stuck with them overall, switched to a different team, or stopped watching the NFL altogether?

Topeka Kansas has Google fiber but not where the company's headquarters are??
Iβve been doing a lot of research of Seattle and itβs surrounding areas. Specifically, Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond. Iβm wondering if there are any Bay Area transplants who can help me compare these places.
As Iβve said, Iβve done a lot of research comparing cost of living, home prices, traffic, political leanings, crime rates etc, but that doesnβt help me get a feel of the area. We lived in Pleasant Hill, CA and according to stats, itβs comparable to Bellevue, WA. For anyone who has experience in both areas (SF east bay and Seattle area), what is your opinion? Do they feel similar?
Currently we are in Utah which honestly was a mistake. We moved here to quarantine near family and escape the smoke in California in 2020. This state lacks so much that we enjoyed about the Bay Area. Diversity, quality ethnic food, MEXICAN FOOD SPECIFICALLY, less in your face religion, more open minded people, etc⦠We enjoyed living in Pleasant Hill, but some things about the Seattle area are more appealing to us, i.e. climate, taxes, location, accessibility of snow, generally less smoke than Cali during fire season.
Basically we plan to move soon and we are trying to figure out if the Seattle area would be a better fit for us than the east bay. When Omicron dies down a bit we hope to Airbnb for a week in the area to get a feel for living there, but until that can happen, I would love your opinions.
Thanks in advance.
I have a friend thatβs 17 weeks pregnant who lives in Orinda. She and her husband are considering a nanny or nanny share option once the baby is born. She wants to make sure she is paying a fair, livable wage but sheβs having a hard time finding the right data to make plans about pay for either a nanny or nanny share. Are there any Nannieβs in that area willing to share their rate?

Would love any recommendations. I do love my Wingstop but down to try some more local spots- thanks!
Hi everyone. TGIF. I know this is a Providence board but seeing how RI is so small and we're all probably third cousins anyway, I thought I'd ask about the East Bay and their pizza offerings. I used to really enjoy Wood Street Pizza in Bristol but they've closed.
Can anyone recommend another killer pizza joint in the East Bay? Yes, I'll travel to West Bay and beyond but come on... I don't want to cross two bridges and pack a bag if I don't have to.
Hi everyone Iβm looking for a no appointment required covid testing site. I have been to multiple in the concord area that say online no appointment necessary but then require an appointment once I get there. Drugstores are all sold out of at home tests. Do you have any places I can go? Thank you in advance:)
Edit: I am vaccinated + boosted! Just fyi
Edit 2: thank you all sincerely for the quick and promising responses! You all provided me with multiple walk in clinics I could use and Iβm truly grateful.
Currently, I'm in the process of grinding driving hours for my license and I thought it would be nice to find places that are fun to drive (or at least as fun as driving can be) through. Any suggestions? I live in the Tri-Valley, but I can feasibly go anywhere in the East Bay.
Hi Everyone!
I am starting a book club in the East Bay. I moved to the East Bay last year and didn't find any book clubs of my interest. The book club will be about reading thought provoking non-fiction books that lead to interesting and engaging conversations. I am starting the book club to share my hobby for reading books with others and meet new people. If you are interested you can join here: https://link.heylo.co/4muN. I am using an app called "Heylo" to run the group so you will need to first create an account to join the group. I look forward to meeting some of you in the group!
I live in North Oakland. How did they magically get on my bill? They claim I've been with them since 2018.
I guess this is what happens when you go paperless? You don't see changes on your bill. I only looked at my bill recently, as my bills have been rising these past six months without a whole lot of usage (although I did run the central heat - gas - in December).
Who do you recommend for the "electrical provider"?
I find a cool looking apartment on craigslist and and have to zoom in on kitchen images to see if there is a dishwasher. I read on average people without a dishwasher spend 280 hours per year washing dishes and I don't doubt it. I don't have a dishwasher and a huge memory of covid is just of washing dishes looking out the same window at my neighbors listening to audio books or Netflix. I can't do it anymore. I want to also complain about no in unit laundry but I know that is pushing it.
New to the bay and crossed off SF on my list of places I want to live due to cost of living. I have a car and would like to keep it without paying for high costs in parking and would prefer not to drive on hills.
I will be commuting to South SF but mostly working from home. I'm considering the east bay and the peninsula but having a difficult time narrowing down specific neighborhoods and potential apartments. My budget is around $3300 and looking for over 650sq ft.
Looking for a diverse demographic. I love the outdoors ( example: hiking, biking, walking, taking in views) but I also like being close to cafe and restaurants.
Interested in a getting a dog so would hardwood floors is non-negotiable.
I was thinking Berkeley but it's seems more like a college town and I'm in my late 20s. Looking to be around other young professionals.
In the peninsula, I like downtown San Mateo and downtown Redwood City. Drivable.
Oakland seems good but wondering what neighborhoods to look at for safety, proximity to outdoors, while being near a social scene. And I can take a ferry.
