A list of puns related to "Dusk (The The album)"
Hello
I've started listening to Trivium about two weeks ago and instantly fell in love with their music. So far I've listened to 6 albums and some of the songs are god-tier for my taste. To name a few:
The last 2 songs mentioned above I've been playing everyday at least couple of times a day for the past week and every time I headbang like a madman.
Could really use suggestions to find more of this type of music. Thanks!
And so Werbell federalizes and brings Russia together. I had peacefully reunified with Sakharov's Tomsk and it went OK. I didn't bother with peaceful reunification with Vyatka's Monarchy though because I wanted to see how my mercs would do.
Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, I just wanted to give some wack ass predilections onto why I think that Werbell's Russia would be some of the most wack ass timelines. It would absolutely throw the entire Cold War out of balance and secure an easy OFN victory. Lets go through it step by step in chronological order.
The Oil Crisis Civil Wars:In the game, we begin to have a taste of this. Given how well armed and disciplined Werbell's forces are, they could basically shift the entire balance of any civil war - even moreso than a superpower. Why? Because their forces are absolutely disposable and, unlike a public sector's military, they can take horrendous losses in a foreign land. They won't need to put down domestic unrest. They require zero justification to intervene except for: they're paying us good money. There won't be an issue of finding recruits: native Russians get political representation/pay and vets from across planet earth have a literal country to reside in without fearing for international law. They are more suited to have small scale interventions than even Germany, Japan, or the U.S.
Second West Russian War: GET FUCKED UNITY PAKTThis is make it or break it for Werbell honestly. If he gets his win here and takes back RK Moskowien, the mercenary state could exist for at least another decade. He would be the absolute darling of the Russian people. They would ignore all of his excesses and his previous life because he would utterly humiliate those damn Germans. Likelihood of success? Absolutely great. Think of how much money he has been exploiting from natural resources and his deep connections to the CIA and D.C. He could absolutely afford to bribe the Moskowien bureaucracy and absolutely gut it. Imagine if there was an open-radio contract for ex vets and soldiers to cause as much mayhem as possible in the RK. "Shoot shit up, collect evidence, and exfiltrate at these areas. We'll pay you depending on the damage you've done." It'd be like the Purge but with Cash. The absolute rebellion would completely shatter the RK's chain of command. Then you send in We

This is probably going to be a bit rambling, but I really want people to enjoy this game because it's jaw droppingly good. I haven't even finished the game yet, I'm only halfway through, but it has shown both fantastic ideas and near perfect execution throughout the game.
First off, because it's the first thing you are introduced to and it sets the tone immensely, is the music. The game tells you as it's loading the music that headphones are recommended, and I'd agree completely. Listen to this for just a few minutes and you'll get the idea. That intro music is phenomenal, and the entire game has this same amazing industrial metal sound. I'm not usually one to listen to video game soundtracks but I've been obsessed with this. But as you go through the game you also hear a lot of quieter tracks, or even silence, so the game can let its atmosphere build. It uses both sound and silence perfectly to get this eerie atmosphere throughout.
And the quiet parts work even better because the sound design is so goddamn good. Every enemy has unique ambient sounds. There are several times where I panicked because I heard a telltale sound of a dangerous enemy nearby. The enviromental sounds constantly add a bit of eerie atmosphere to the lovecraftian visuals and level design. Hell, simple as it is, even the loading scene has some oddly nostalgic beeps and hard drive noises. And when you do get into combat, the weapon sounds are AMAZING. Absolutely full of bass, they and the noises of the enemies fighting make it all so much more thrilling.
And believe me, the combat in this is some of the best I've ever played. There's zero hitscan, so absolutely everything is dodgable. I never once had a death I didn't feel was completely my fault. But the game is still plenty challenging, with a wide variety of enemies and perfect locations to fight them. There are several cases where you're dropped into combat very suddenly, but never so bad that it's just spawning enemies in your face. The game constantly changes it up. Long fights climbing up stairwells, cramped corridors where you're having to make the best of dodging and positioning, huge open areas littered with enemies. No two levels are really alike, and you never really know what to expect. One of my most memorable fights came from the introduction of a single enemy after spending a couple minutes looking around this empty, eerie level. By the time I was up to fighting the ene
