Last week, I asked you guys to help me rate the discography of the "singer", actress, activist, producer, Black Lives Matter activist, one of the main villains of The Walking Dead season 9 and 10, and global superstar Selena Gomez (and her earlier work with her imaginary band The Scene)... and i'm here to tell you how disappointed I am with all of you in general...
BUT BEFORE THAT... SOME FAQ
- How many people participated? 64 ASMR stans (minus three saboteur whose scores were deleted) did the whole ranking.... not a really enticing number but I've seen worse turnouts.
- Where can I see the results? Here are the RAW RESULTS.
- WAIT.... some people didn't vote all of the songs? Yes, i'm aware of that... but I guess that helps to give some songs a fair rating.
- What songs from Selena Gomez's discography were rated? Her three studio albums as part of Selena Gomez and the Scene (Kiss & Tell, A Year Without Rain and When The Sun Goes Down) and her two solo releases (Stars Dance and Revival) alongside soundtrack appearances, loose releases, and such; in both artists' cases we excluded leaks, live versions, standard remixes and Spanish-language versions of already released songs, mostly because Selena can barely speak the language.

The song has a very similar piano tune to Same Old Love by Selena Gomez. I'm pretty sure the vocals were also female. But that's all I remember. And it's NOT Havana by Camila Cabello. It's definitely a 2010's song. The piano is slightly faster and has a couple extra notes compared to Same Old Love but they're fairly similar.

I was watching a review of the original Dark Souls from 2011 and the reviewer Kevin VanOrd said this:
"Has a game ever consumed you to the point that it invaded your mind? Have you ever woken from dreaming of this game only for that dream to turn into your waking thoughts and cravings?"
It's actually a pet peeve of mine when reviewers exaggerate how good a game is, and normally I would find this sort of language excessive. But eight years later I am playing Dark Souls for the first time, and this quote perfectly encapsulates how I feel about the game. Kudos to the reviewer!

Again the guide i am writing is mainly for me, a way of compiling in physical form, all the best methods/techniques into one place. It is designed not to just offer a plethora of random techniques, but ones that when practiced compliment each other.
Some things included
How to enter the trance state and perform self-hypnosis (a LARGE part of LD is having the belief and confidence that it is not only achievable, but can be easily and effortlessly induced. The subconscious mind is in a receptive state during trance, so giving affirmations to this effect will build your confidence. Techniques are not helpful if you don't believe you can achieve LD. For this reason my guide goes over effectively entering trance and reprogramming mind before going on to other techniques.
The trance state just mentioned is also used for WILD. I use the method mentioned by Stephen Laberge called 61 point meditation. But i learned through a different book, called Yoga nidra. Basically my method of entering trance/hypnagogia is gradual withdrawal of senses.
Technique: bring attention to sounds outside, inside the room, inside body to initiate initial relaxation.
State intention: e.g "I will keep my mind awake while my body falls asleep"
Move on to rotation of consciousness (look up yoga nidra/61point)
I then move attention to breath to intensify inner focus....then I let go of breath and watch blackness/thoughts as I drift into a free floating state of mind where hypnagogia begins to appear. With practice this becomes easier and easier.
Next, i realized something with myself and many others who get frustrated when we try the techniques mentioned in many books and they dont give us the success we want, so we feel discouraged. I came to the epiphany that we were learning to LD wrong, by skipping to conscious awareness in the dream. Instead, we should gently guide our waking egos into dream reality, so that LUCIDITY becomes a constant and consistent thing.
My personal action plan for inducing consistent LD ( will take a couple months/ year to complete, but I am in it for the long haul)
*use self hypnosis to 1. Believe in the naturalness of LD, my ability to do so, the ease and effortlessness involved, believe that my subconscious desires to help me LD, that my dreaming self desires to carry on suggestions that i say in the day time...etc
- Increase dream recall ( i have pretty good recall, can remember up to 10 dreams a night, on bad days i still always remember 2-3 a
