Of all the actresses (yesteryear and upto 2000s), Dimple Kapadia is hands down the actress who has graced beautifully and still has that ethereal beauty.
I was rewatching Tenet yesterday and she is just fabulous is the movie. But she looks fantastic and her poise and screen presence in the movie is just outstanding.
Is there any other Bollywood actor/actress who has aged gracefully like Dimple?

It takes daughter Twinkleโs persuasive powers to finally grant me an occasion to gupshup with my favourite Bobby Braganza, now a mother of two lovely actresses. Even while she chats, Dimple grumbles she has nothing to say. But she does. She does.
After turning down roles left right and centre, what prompted you to accept Farhaan Akhtarโs Dil Chahta Hai?
Well, Iโve signed another film recently with Raman Kumar. God only knows whether thatโs materialising. I have no idea where that project stands. But yes, I am doing Dil Chahta Hai. Itโs a small but interesting character. The whole script and project sound good. Thatโs it. I have always gone by my instincts, and never mind if Iโve been proved wrong always (laughs). I have two lovely daughters. I donโt need anything else.
I donโt think movies count in front of your success as a mother.
They donโt, they really donโt. For me, my daughters are everything. Everyone has her own yardstick of a successful life. And each person has to go by what she wants in life. For me motherhood was what I wanted. And thatโs what I got. Iโm very happy with that. I never wanted more. And I donโt see anything wrong with that. A career IS important. But I donโt have the temperament to be put through the test every day. I donโt think I would have been able to handle it.
You mean you donโt want to face the camera every day?
Not just that. Being an active actress means you are judged and evaluated all the time. I couldnโt handle that.
So you never really enjoyed being the nationโs sensation after Bobby?
I had no time to enjoy that. I got into marriage and children immediately after Bobby. I was married even while I was working in Bobby. I was away from public life. I never experienced the adulation. I never understood or enjoyed my success. At the age I was then, no girl is expected to understand what doing a Raj Kapoor film meant. At 15, I wasnโt aware that I was working with a living legend.

Looking at the birth dates, 16 yo Dimple married to Rajesh khanna, 15 years senior to her. Twinkle's birthdate is mentioned as 29 Dec 1974. It means when dimple got pregnant with her, Dimple was still 16 yo and she gave birth to twinkle at the tender age of 17.
Acc to child marriage act, till 1978 min age for girls to get married was 14 years. Still, 17 years is too young to give birth.
Does anybody know if there was any news/uproar regarding this at the time, as Rajesh Khanna was a huge star back then.
