I opened up build.gov.ph, and I noticed that there are merlions in the seals of Department of Finance and Department of Budget and Management. Searching up some more executive departments, even DepEd has a merlion in its seal.
I haven't heard of stories/legends about merlions here in the Philippines lol
Edit: I realize it's not really called a "merlion" (maybe just as a tourism marketing scheme by Singapore) but a sea-lion. hehe whoops
I got a letter this morning from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, and the letter is addressed to a company/corp that I've never heard of in my life. My actual address on the letter is correct, but no one in my family is a business owner. The letter itself is legit, not a scam. I will call them when they're open, but for now I'm wondering if there's any other way I can try to fix this online or something.
It's freaking me out because the accountant my family used forgot a lot of stuff and we had to pay a lot of late fees to the IRS the previous summer. I think the Department of Taxation and Finance mixed up my address with someone else's, is there any way to fix this quickly online? (Their call hours have already ended). How worried should I be, and how much of a hassle will it be to fix this problem? Not sure what to do or where to start.

Was looking at /r/PersonalFinanceCanada and realized that some people may not know that the department of finance posts all of the tax breaks they give to Canadians (the PDF is quite helpful).
It can serve as good checklist for juniors.
