considering the story takes place in alternate cold war, do you think that germany would use the actions of other western countries during the XIX century in order to justify their own expansion? i imagine this as a posibilty, and a very dark and awful one, beacuse if it is made with a good system of propaganda it could normalize the prevailing idea in the nineteenth century that one people has the right to impose sovereignty over another, and probably, considering that the United States is Germany's main rival in terms of the west, the Nazis could use America's own past like the manifest destiny, wich meant the expansion of the american state to the west and the loss of the ancestral lands of the indigeneous commnuities that had lived there, in order to create this conclusion: ''your claims of the fight for freedom are lies, we are the same'' which in turn could be used by different far-right groups throughout the entire world , and I feel this would be much more likely in a Nazi Germany run by Bormann or Dengista Speer
Going off of this. I ask because I am from the USA and we are one of only three countries in the world deemed to be in a democratic backslide (the other two being Hungary and Poland). But much to my surprise, Slovakia has a lower democracy index score than we do in spite of its membership in the European Union.
Are free speech and freedom of the press limited in Slovakia? Is there bad election integrity? Why is Slovakia a flawed democracy?
Does anyone know the place or name of the restaurant that Mister Democracy Manifest came out of? Does anybody know what it is now, or if if it's still around? Thanks.
