A list of puns related to "Death of a Hollow Man"
Here's what I remember about the film:
almost certainly saw it in the late 1990s, no later than early 2000s
one of the first scenes involved a rich, overweight man eating at a fine dining restaurant. Not a cartoon. Man was portrayed as rude/out of touch. While eating, he unwittingly bites off part of an insect (grasshopper, pretty sure) and severely chokes, possibly dying
the man was not in the rest of the movie, it set up some kind of plot catalyst for what the movie was actually about
my memory is vaguely suggesting that this film's protagonist was a mouse, possibly another anthropomorphized animal. A film like Stuart Little or Air Bud
This scene left a scar on my young mind when it came to bugs, will be in debt to anyone who can help me find it!
I'd love to see a boss fight in an upcoming expansion of Hollow Knight that resembles the Death boss fights in Castlevania games. With Grimm we have a boss who draws inspiration from Dracula but I'd like to see a Death like boss as well.
It could be a thin creepy looking insect with some sort of cape floating in the air and holding a giant scythe (made of mandibles or horns of another big insect). It would attack with its scythe, it could summon smaller scythes and would also have some "magic" attacks.
If we get a Forest of Bones at some time in the future a Death like boss would be great for that area in particular since the insect or bug resembling Death looks like a living carcass/ exoskeleton.
Sorry for the n00b question if it is one and not agreeing with anything unlawful that might have been going on, but I see a lot of the charges that were filed against these people were for possession of hollow-point ammunition. Is that a crime in NJ, or only if you're already in possession of an illegal weapon? I can't see how it is sold everywhere if it's illegal to possess.
The charge was quite severe.
For decades, I experienced abuse, for decades, I simply bottled it up. Eventually, I stopped feeling. I stopped caring. The things I was once passionate about, I stopped doing. To the point that by the time I was an adult, I was just going through the motions.
All that changed today. Didn't have anything to do, it was 95 F today, had a library card I didn't really use. Used to be passionate about books, almost a decade ago. Was laid off about four months ago, lost my apartment two months ago. I live out of a tent, so there wasn't much in the way of places to go, especially on a Saturday.
So, I went to the library, checked out a book. The Catcher in the Rye. Wasn't too into it at first, but eventually I got hooked. I blew through it, finished it well before 3 PM, so I figured I'd start another.
Second book was Fahrenheit 451. I read it, and I read it deeply, feeling emotions I haven't felt in years. I read and read, and read. When I finished the book, I cried. Not a loud noisy cry, but the kind where the tears just kinda hug your face, and don't really do anything.
I type this, still feeling this emptiness, still feeling hollow, and I'm shaking, I really am. I'm not cold, but I'm shaking like I am. I genuinely don't know what to do. I don't really have friends to vent to, so here I am, spilling my incoherent thoughts on a subreddit I just found.
I don't know what else to say, I don't know how to react. I just am, in this moment.
I will try to make my points as brief as I can and I would like to have a discussion about this and the negative impact it has on the gear and build system.
Any mask on any build that didn't have DTE was totally useless and forced a stat to always be present on that slot no matter what. So all the possible attribute combinations suffered a lot because 99% of the builds would have DTE and one other attribute. Not even skill builds could avoid not having it because it increased their skill dmg as well.
These are the equivalent of DTE and you are basically forced to run at least two if don't want to purposely gimp your build. DTH is less important so the Hollow Man is not a must equip item. However, Contractor's gloves and Fox's Prayer are a must equip item given how important DTA and OOC are for the vast majority of builds.
In WoNY we have more diversity of roles in group compositions so maybe healer and some tank builds can trade these off for other brand set or gear combinations for these builds.
If you want to make a DPS, hybrid, damage oriented CC or other kind of build that will deal damage with their weapons, you have to have these items. The problem is not that these two items are a must, it's the attributes themselves.
Why would you want to use other combination of attributes on your gloves or kneepads when you can have 11% DTA and 15% OOC. Weapons can roll 6% DTA and up to 12% OOC and both of these attributes are a multiplicative source of damage. It's obvious you want them on all our builds that are weapon or skill damage oriented.
Having these items roll these unique attributes on gear (they can roll in weapons) makes builds that don't even use LMGs or Rifles use them. That means we are forced to have one, or in the majority of cases, two pieces with weapon damage we don't even use on a particular build.
This has the consequence of making LMGs and Rifles the more prevalent weapons at the moment when we finally have really good weapon diversity after all this time. Why would we use other weapon if we already need to have one item that gives use LMG Damage and one that gives us Rifle Damage.
The Hollow Man impact is smaller because DTH is a more niche damage stat and health not being a concern on armored NPCs doesn't force us to use this mask like the other two.
It's an obvious case of hummuscide.
