A list of puns related to "David Wolfe (raw food advocate)"
Was reading the paper and saw an article talking about a βHealth and Wellness Expoβ coming to my town which, in addition to Mr. Wolfe will have:
βThe health fair will feature over 30 local vendors, including skin care, essential oils, superfoods, books, supplements, vegan food, smoothies, clothing, water systems, gem stones and natural dentistry solutions.
Mini treatments such as massage, reflexology and a new technology called Seqex that promotes the reduction of inflammation and improves microcirculation will also be offered.β
While there will be legit businesses, smells like quite a few MLM operations will be there too. I think itβs part of a tour doing a bunch of places.
I've heard of people eating sausages out the packet raw, eggs, mushrooms...
just bit into another piece of undercooked chicken at mojos. chicken is raw like 50% of the time, i've had undercooked fish, lamb meatballs, and probably every type of meat i was not expecting to try raw in my life
like i dont care about how good the food tastes, i just want to not get sick
edit: this is in reference to both south quad and mojos
Lots of comments online about Wolfe and Zindell, not least because of this quote by Wolfe: "...one of the finest talents to appear since Kim Stanley Robinson and William Gibson β perhaps the finest."
Never read anything, tho. Would anyone who has be willing to explain why I've seen his stuff called "Wolfean"?
I posted this in the Rereading Wolfe FB group but think a lot of people here will like it on this auspicious day. (2 years since he left for Yesod)
In April, 1966, in Science Fact and Fiction, David Levinson gave a short reaction to Wolfe's story in World's of IF.
> Wolfe is unknown to me, but after some digging I see that he had one previous sale to the βgentlemenβsβ magazine Sir!. If he can write like this so early in his career, I foresee big things. Heβs clearly in love with language and words, and every sentence is beautifully crafted. I donβt claim to really understand the metaphor of the title or the implications of the final paragraph, but the journey there is incredibly beautiful. Four stars.
I'd like to start selling whole dog food. Organs, quail, rabbit. Not only would it help cover animal costs but I feel like it'd provide a more humane meal, my creatures are spoiled!
Does anyone else do this? How did you go about finding people? How do you package it and do you pluck your birds?
I won't use chemical wormers on a regular bases but keep a healthy flock and colony. I personally feel like parasites and freshness would be the biggest concern for people, but that's just a guess...
I tried selling quail for snake food, but I wasn't willing to sell living food or keep the head attached, so it didn't work out...
I feed my dogs what I feed my family and they are so healthy, I'd like to sell at an affordable rate so other dogs can eat the way they were meant to, but I'm not sure what to charge over my expenses.
