While we know the Mithraic used the blueprints discovered in their scriptures to engineer the Necromancers, do we know how they acquired the dark photon ingredient? The research I’ve done holds those particles as strictly theoretical. Maybe the Mithraic had already found a way to isolate and use them? Or maybe the scriptures somehow relayed how to obtain the particles?
I acknowledge I’m nerding out over here, but it’s interesting to think about.
I'm watching Equinox PT 1, and the Doctor is using a wrist mounted flashlight to see, but he's made of photons so he should be a light source.
I used some CSS tweaks from GitHub and then polished some of them. At first I did this for my personal use, but decided to post it and maybe some of you would like to use this CSS as well.

Dark Photons travel at the speed of light, but they carry negative amounts of energy from dark radio waves (the highest energy) to dark gamma rays (the lowest, meaning the most negative energy thus the least.)
Each dark photon does the opposite of what a photon would do, it robs whatever particle it hits of energy, for dark radio waves it can cause an electron to drop an energy level without emitting a photon, or it has emitted a dark photon that travels backwards in time, but from our point of view it looks like the dark photon hits the atom and robs it of energy.

We got a new clue — that Dark photon technology was encrypted in Mithraic scripture and therefore the technology is poorly understood
Spawned from this revelation are many posts talking about dark photons in mother’s blood, and the babies blood, and Ortho’s blood (i.e. the guy in the helmet).
I personally find the leap that dark photons could affect a human being with super strength a pretty big logical stretch. The show has already demonstrated dark photons have some properties of light, indicating it is energy source. More likely the chemicals used in the android construction or in the hybrid baby’s biochemistry — and not the dark photons themselves — gave Ortho strength. Let’s not ignore that mother’s eyes placed in Marcus’ mouth caused him to foam at the mouth.
I now think the mystery of Mother’s eyes is solved; they are dark photons micro-reactors, so she isn’t juiced up in these episodes. That puts a pretty big hole in dark-photons-in-blood-theories.
I think I would rather think about other ideas.
The accidental discovery of powerful technology implies (and we face the inevitable conclusion) that the knowledge sourced from extraterrestrials. It seems likely dark photons power the star drive. But was the information planted? So we have to wonder if it was bait to lure humanity to Kepler 022b. Or perhaps an invitation? The Mithraics have made several references to a mission to seek Sol on Kepler 022b. Perhaps this is more literal than it at first seems.
I also wonder if “we found it encrypted in scripture” is just dogmatic propaganda. Maybe they actually found a monolith orbiting Jupiter, for example. I predict creator Campion’s family made the discovery. Cue the flashbacks.
I think the foreign technology boon also explains many of the mysteries. Many have criticized the sci fi of the show, stating it is inconsistent the people have androids and necromancers and yet are fighting a guerrilla war with guns. I have privately wondered how they seemed to advance technology so far in a short period during ongoing global war. The answer: they didn’t advance themselves; rather they “cheated”, and thus the technological leap is still evolving. This explains why the technology is not so pervasive and limited to very few individuals.
