A list of puns related to "DC3"
Hey all! is there anyway to flash the correct firmware on the Compustar DC3 as a consumer? I really don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg to get this remote starter installed on my wifes insight. Its a T-Harness install so its basically plug and play.
Thanks in advanced, hopefully there is some good news to be had.
I'm interested in getting some time in a Douglas DC3 and thinking I should pay the extra and go for the SIC type rating. A quick search brings up a lot of websites that haven't been updated recently. I have not attempted contacting anyone yet except for the famous Dan G. in his yellow DC3, but he says he only does it for certain occasions and would not take me at the time.
Has anyone had any success within the past 1-2 years with anyone with a DC3 willing to train a curious pilot individual (non-SNS influencer)? Please let me know!
Will there ever be a DC3 Reunion tour?
Beautiful DC3s shown really really closeup:
The history of the airfield in the above video can be found here:
The skerper is bigger but probably not as good quality wise.

remember that it only works for jtag or rgh
Hey all!
I've been a game dev hobbyist for a few years now, working in Unreal Engine 4, and I finally gathered enough confidence to try my hand at full scale development. After hearing the news that Sony cancelled development of DC3 (yes, that was a long time ago now), I figured I'd give this series my 100% in hopes that one day we may get a third installment.
I began the project about a month ago and already have a few fundamental mechanics the series has maintained mostly flushed out (e.g. weapon-centric progression & stats, multiple characters & weapon types; saving georama and world-building for one of the last bits as I have no experience working those types of systems). My current goal is to have a proof of concept so that I don't come off as "that anon that got all our hopes up" and I could definitely use the community's input. As much as I'd like this to be my own creation, the end game is to get licensing and copyright from Sony to use their assets and make this a legitimate DC3 title. This is clearly no small task, but I fully intend to commit whatever time I can to get this as far as possible, even if it just becomes a fan-made spinoff. With all of this in mind, I'd like to open the floor to community discussion, as well as the opportunity to connect with fellow UE4 devs for support.
That being said, consider what the series is known for and comment with your expectations. A few of my current creative roadblocks are:
Character & Equipment combinations - Should this be more like DC1 and have multiple characters specializing in 1 type of weapon? Should this be like DC2 and have fewer type choices? Would it be a good idea to use DC2 character quantity and have them use DC1 weapons that didn't make it into DC2?
Monster weaknesses and relevant weapon stats - IMO, DC1 went a little overboard with the anti-X stat pool, and DC2 was simple and less punishing. Should it maintain the simplicity of DC2? Should it be a mix of both? Would you rather have the absolute customization present in DC1?
I have zero experience with 3D modelling, graphic design, and animation - Self-explanatory. I'm a serology chemist IRL, and I never delved into this medium of creative expression. The project currently looks like a literal potato because of all the stock UE4 designs. I'm pushing this off for way later in the project for obvious reasons, but I'm open to networking with more experienced humans in this field to get through that phase.
... keep reading on reddit β‘We typically have teams of 3-5 people traveling 2-3 times a month. Half of the trips are 300 miles or so and the other are 709 or so.
Weβre tired of the hassles of flying commercial and someone on the team suggested buying a DC3 for 400-500k. Thatβs very doable for us, but I thought Iβd see if anyone here had any experience with owning or operating one. How practical or impractical would this be? None of us have any idea about hangar costs or operating costs, other than a rough idea that it costs around 700 an hour per flight. Not even sure if thatβs true or not.
Anyone have any thoughts to share or resources we should look at? We already know that a smaller Cessna or King Air would be more practical, but the guy who writes the checks is a little eccentric and really likes the look of big planes.
Edit: Thanks for all the great thoughts and info. Looks like we arenβt buying one. Lol!
