A list of puns related to "Cream discography"
So, I decided to listened to the Ice Cream Cake (EP), and here were my thoughts. Keep in mind, I usually listen to the song two or three times to form an opinion, but mine can change overtime.
Ice Cream Cake: I remember when I first listened to the song, and it started off with the “Lalala”...I was debating whether or not I wanted to continue the song or not lol. But you know what? I’m glad I continued to listen to the song, because this shit slaps, especially in the chorus (no, seriously listen to just the instrumentals to this track, so many details). And I know I wasn’t gonna speed past Irene and Joy’s rap, like freaking yes! Also, this song is about a kiss, not a BJ, ya damn nasties 😤. 8.5/10
Automatic: Clowning myself for sleeping on Automatic, saying it’s one of my least favorite title tracks lol. Unlike some of their title tracks, Automatic is pretty chill and nonchalant. There’s nothing “unpredictable” or “out there” about it, for a lack of a better word. What you see and hear is what you get, you know what I mean? It’s crazy how so far, this is the highest ranking song, because I’m more of a person who prefers hype and energetic song. 10/10
Something Kinda Crazy: How did the producers know I am a sucker for synthetic sounds? I think that’s what sells this whole song for me. The chorus was an ear-worm, when I first listened to it last night, I couldn’t get it out of my head lol. Also, Wendy, who gave you the right to make me pregnant with the whispering? 8/10
Stupid Cupid: But that beginning though!! Parts of me wish that intro alone was use throughout the whole song, but Stupid Cupid is still that bitch. Funnily enough, the first time I heard this song was when I was watching a video about “Irene making men quiver in fear” or something like that, but I didn’t pay much attention to it. Imagine the music video for this song, I’m sure it would’ve been godlike. Other than Automatic, this has to be my favorite track from the EP. 9.5/10
Take It Slow: One of the more mellow tracks like Automatic on the EP. Unfortunately, I may have to put this as my least favorite so far, which is a shame, I did enjoy the instrumentals and chorus. The harmonization was wonderful (well duh, look at what group I’m talking about), but sadly compare to the other songs, I didn’t care much for this song. 6/10
Candy: Can I just talk about Joy’s voice in this song? And her part with Yeri in the second chorus was my favorite part

Ik it’s unpopular because a lot of kpop fans think that blackpink discography is the same but you can’t deny that all of their songs are produced really well and are sonically good. Let’s start of with square 1, imo both boombayah and whistle are really good songs especially whistle which is said to be one of their best songs. Square 2 is again good, pwf, aiiyl and stay are definitely their top songs, probably their most diverse ep, all of them have different vibes. Square up the iconic era, again no skips kill this love is probably their worst ep. And finally the album which imo has no skips, hylt is probably the weakest link but still a banger while pretty savage and love to hate me are the strongest.
We've all heard of cringey English lyrics in K-pop, and while there are some... questionable lines in certain songs (Iron man in the streets / but I'm better than Tony), I think K-pop gets an unfairly bad rep because there are genuinely good English parts.
... I'm going to find the Jopping copypasta in the comments, aren't I?
Hello and welcome to the K-pop Girl Group Smackdown rate!! We three hosts (u/MoonlightByWindow, u/rickikardashian, and u/wavingwolves) are delighted to announce that we will be at the helm for this rate, picking up where the sub’s very first (!!) K-pop rate left off.
A lot can happen in three years, especially when we’re talking about K-pop. Since the first Girl Group Singles rate, we’ve seen the disbandment of robbed legends GFRIEND hopefully that encourages y’all to not rob them here, the start of a whole new generation, and BLACKPINK finally released their first full album!
Along with these changes, the amount of K-pop fans on this very sub has also grown but we encourage anyone to participate, even if you’ve never heard a single K-pop song in your life – we hope it will be a very fun and enjoyable experience regardless :)
As with any grab bag, there are questions over why a certain song made it over a different one, or why a group has more songs than a different group. Thankfully, as mentioned before we basically just picked up where the Girl Group Singles rate left off. This means we only had a time frame of two years to encompass – all 2021 songs have been saved for the 2021 K-Pop Rate, as the sub hopefully moves to annual K-pop rates as planned. Therefore any major title track from a big group in this time period, bar 2021, was included in this rate (although we had to cut some songs that people don’t really care about from said groups…sorry More and More!).
To ensure fairness and also give a spotlight to lesser-known groups or songs, the maximum number of songs any group could receive was five. K-pop has so much to offer and we wanted to showcase that!
If you’re already familiar with rate rules and can’t wait to get started, then feel free to skip the rest of this post and send your ballot using THIS LINK - this is a shared account, so all three of us will be looking over the ballots. The Spotify playlist is HERE, the Apple Music playlist is [HERE](https://music.apple.
... keep reading on reddit ➡Exactly as what the title says. While there are definitely more sad-sounding songs in their discography (Magic Island, Maze in the Mirror, etc.), a lot of their more "twerky" or general upbeat songs are also quite depressing, and I don't think a lot of people realise this. So here's me discussing a few (because this would be long af if I did a lot) and feel free to add some of your favourite lyrics/songs from TXT that really makes you regret checking the lyrics up because you can't think of it the same.

No Rules—a routine life that makes you feel like falling apart
No Rules is a beloved song in the SK public, with catchy funky tunes and a very jumpy choreography that might as well be a workout routine. It's a little bit of a sequel to New Rules, but while New Rules is about general teenage rebellion, No Rules seems to be more of life in general.
>I've never wanted a routine
>
>The alarm that rings whenever it's my time to sleep
>
>Yeah, why the hell does it exist?
For the POV, life has become the same pattern of events that it drives them insane. Having to wake up in an alarm when they wanted to continue just dreaming about being a punk. Just this huge want to "dance" until they cannot anymore. Some even say this is also specifically about pandemic life, which has most definitely caused many lives to feel duller and bound by many rules.
>My life caught between strings is doom
>
>Even after the strings get lifted away, I feel insane
Drama—you're not actually the main character
This one may already have been obvious if you've seen the music video. Despite the tunes, Drama is a song about finally getting into the spotlight and enjoying the feel of being a protagonist but realising that they're simply just another extra. The chorus starts with "This is my drama" before sadly changing the final chorus to be "This is your drama".
>I'm in that scene with your one pass
>
>My place under the light of the spotlight

Artist: Kacey Musgraves
Album: star-crossed

Label: MCA Nashville; Interscope

Moving backwards, hurt comes after
Healing doesn't happen in a straight line
The Artist:
Kacey Lee Musgraves is an American singer, six-time Grammy winner, and a country music phenomenon. In 2019, Musgraves walked home with the ‘Album of the Year’ Grammy award for her third studio album, Golden Hour. In the years preceding, Musgraves’ star power rose and she became, for many, the next country music icon. Tearing down barriers and breaking down pre-built borders for what ‘country music should be’, Musgraves was pioneered as ‘the crossover artist’; The one who would defy genre and push country music to where it would inevitably go. However. all this critical claim wasn’t just a whirlwind success story, you could even say it was a bit of a slow burn…
Musgraves was discovered professionally in 2008 while living in Austin by producer Monte Robison for his independent record label, Triple Pop. After working with various producers and artists in the country scene for several years, Musgraves was signed to Mercury Nashville and released her debut album, Same Trailer, Different Park’. The album was a mammoth success at the time, sparking two significant hits for Musgraves, “Merry Go Round” and “Follow Your Arrow”. The latter track would be Musgraves’ first taste of crossover success; while initially receiving mixed reviews from conservatives due to some of the song's lyrics, as they claimed the country tune was "an attack on Christians", others called it a "sign of shift in country music" due to the song's positive reference to homosexuality and being particularly liked by the LGBT community. This album would also go on to be nominated for four Grammy Awards at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, tying Taylor Swift and Lorde for the most nominations received by a woman that year.
After touring with
... keep reading on reddit ➡As is yearly tradition, over the month of December I posted two songs per day in the Daily Discussion threads (one single and one album track (mostly)) that I felt went unnoticed by most people but would potentially be enjoyed, and this is a compilation of those write-ups.
There’s a definite pop focus but I picked these tracks with an ear for diversity of sound/artistry so there’s quite a few different things going on here and some picks that might make you roll your eyes, but I think there’s something for everyone! FFO means “For Fans Of,” it’s a reference point for who I think would like each song.
Here is a link to a playlist I made of (most) of the songs.
#Singles:
> Joyce Wrice (ft. Freddie Gibbs) - On One (from Overgrown)
> FFO: Tinashe
It seems like everyone is nostalgic for the ‘00s these days but if you were specifically missing those block party busting r&b jams, Joyce Wrice has you covered. She oozes the essence of this era of r&b starlets thanks to her flirty-yet-fiery delivery and the Aaliyah sample (“Rock The Boat”) takes this connection even further, but the charismatic rap verse from Freddie Gibbs has a distinctly more modern feeling that still flows well. One of many stellar tracks on her debut album but it stands out thanks to the pop friendly hooks and crazy replay value.
> FFO: Red Velvet
In tarot the “Wheel Of Fortune” card is supposed to invoke good luck and prosperity and the song really captures that vibe with the bright melody and hopeful lyrics, both of which Riri carries perfectly. The quirky production makes everything even more exciting, it’s got a new jack swing beat but then there’s all sorts of horns and synths and samples layered on top so it’s just brimming with energy while still being perfectly in control.
> LØLØ - Hurt Less (from overkill)
> FFO: Avril Lavigne
Emo pop-rock meets self-deprecating Tik Tok music, and that’s a compliment! Canadian singer LØLØ started with this sound last year (so she was actually a bit ahead of the curve on this trend) but she took until this year with the overkill EP to really nail it. This song is indulgently relatable and the chorus just creeps up on you, it’s so catchy and

Artist: Westside Gunn
Album: Hitler Wears Hermes 8: Side B
Listen:
Background by u/LthePerry02
Westside Gunn, born Alvin Lamar Worthy, is someone who’s impact really speaks for itself. Along with his brother Conway The Machine and their cousin Benny The Butcher, the three are the fundamental artists of Griselda Records. Each boast their own unique style and influences, and along with their in-house producer Daringer, the three and their label have helped fund a revitalization of dirty and grimy street raps. Perhaps you’ve noticed one of your favourite rappers going harder on the pure spitting lately. Perhaps you’ve seen more rap veterans returning to the game as of late. The impact of Griselda is something that will likely continue to expand, and influence the sound of the rap game for years to come.
Westside Gunn has put out more projects than most over the past few years, but the Hitler Wears Hermes series are what arguably define him best. Aiming to combine grime and street life with luxury and class, the Hitler tapes have consistently remained just that. Soulful yet grimy. Beautiful yet violent. Keep in mind, Gunn has stated that he’s never set out to be the best on the mic like Conway or Benny. Rather, he aims to curate, bringing in wide amounts of features both mainstream and underground, and sets out to create a new vibe with each project.
Let’s bring it back to the burgeoning popularity of Westside Gunn and his label. Just this year, Gunn and Conway made a showing on Kanye’s DONDA, with Gunn even making an appearance at the third and final of Ye’s now iconic listening events. Gunn also linked up with Travis Scott for a heavily teased song, “LOST FOREVER”, the release of which is very much in the air right now. Tyler The Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost was just nominated for a Grammy, and Tyler has gone on record to say that [Gunn was a massive influence on the record]

Thing is we don’t know, stop being parasocial and weird about him. I worry about Ye too sometimes but ultimately there is a line in between the art we consume and the artist behind the art that we cannot touch except THROUGH the art, and obviously when you got songs especially in Ye’s discography that can be so vulnerable that you feel like you know the person behind the music but the reality is you don’t.
As to the twitter folks it’s literally just racially motivated cause non-white men and women suffering from mental illness never get any of the grace that white men and women do. My man was just out there tryna go to his daughter’s birthday and smack pinatas and eat ice cream. So fucking annoying man some mfs need to get a grip.
Ultimately, people just hate the fact that ye in his bag rn. Hes dialed in big time and idk i sorta feel like he wants to drop something insane really soon after donda just to show kim, and the world, that hes better then ever and counting him out is a mistake. The best revenge agains kim rn is to be the biggest thing on the planet, something she cant compete with. Not even f***ing pete Davidson will outshine a second masterpiece within a year. Just my 2 cents.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
When I say concepts I mean aesthetically wise, because I know their songs such as Crown and Ice cream even though they are upbeat the lyrics are quite dark and sad. Tbh I don't really care about concepts in general, I don't care if an artist changes/repeats concepts, I just care about the songs and if I like them or not.
TXT are one of my ultras, the can pretty much pull up any concept, and currently they have my favourite discography (I love all their songs besides Force). So I don't dislike their "darker" songs and concepts at all, Can't you see me and 0X1=Lovesong are my favourite title track and they are quite dark.
But I think they shine and stand out more when they do brighter concepts such as Crown, Blue hour, No rules, Poppin Star, Cat and Dog, etc. I think the members have this cute and youthful vibe that fits cute concepts without making it cringy - at least for me because I know many find Cat and Dog and Crown cringy.
I prefer the stages where they perform these more upbeat/brighter songs, it's just so fun to watch, expecially Blue hour stages. And I would love for them to comeback with a cute song such as Just right by Got7 or Gogo by BTS as a title track in the near future. But it seems from the mma performance ending spoiler (Yeonjun dies from the nth time) that's not going to happen...
And I also think their best choreography are in these songs; its unhealthy the amount of times I watched Crown, No rules, Cat and Dog and Blue hour dance practices lol.
I think this opinion is unpopular because most people seem to prefer the direction TXT is going with their sound and aesthetics - which I really enjoy aswell. But I prefer when they do more cute/bright songs.
I decided to do this because why not 🤷🏽♀️ I really like BP’s music so I thought to rank their songs in the order of how I enjoy them. Definitely subject to change and revision. I want to do this for the groups I like where they have a smaller discography and it’ll be easier. So without further ado:
I genuinely think that blackpink doesn’t have a single bad song. I rated this based on enjoyment and how much I listen to them.
what would your own ranking look like?
I saw someone do something similar like a year ago (except it was for all title tracks and in no particular order) so I decided to post an updated version except make it into the top 10 most popular songs of each of the more prominent 3rd gen groups for those who are curious.
Please don't get mad if you don't see your group, I might have forgotten some, you can ask for their stats in the replies, I'll gladly reply. Another thing is, I kind of debated with myself and didn't add some otherwise popular groups just because their stats were too low (all songs below 900k) and they are more popular internationally, but if you want to ask me for a specific group's biggest hit/s in the replies, do so. Some also just have way too small discographies (looks at IOI), but if you want to I can add ''honorable mentions''.
The ranking is based on UL unless the UL difference between the two songs is very small and the song with less UL has a huge lead when it comes to streams (e.g 100M streams lead). For songs that have the same UL, the song with more streams gets the higher position. Groups are listed in no specific order.
BTS
TWICE
EXO

Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes

But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.

Disclaimer: I’m just a guy who grew up in the Drake/Kendrick/J. Cole era of hip hop who enjoyed ‘Certified Lover Boy’ and likes talking about music. Take my opinions here with however much salt you like, and read on if you enjoy music thinkpieces.
With the release and lukewarm reception of Drake’s 6th studio album, ‘Certified Lover Boy’, Drake and his camp have come under fire for what many are calling a string of uninspired releases, backed up by relatively mediocre review scores from popular online music review sites like Pitchfork for the back half of his studio album discography (Views, Scorpion, and CLB all received scores under a 7, along with ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’, though that one’s a mixtape). Contrast this with Drake’s earlier album scores (8.4 for ‘Thank Me Later’, 8.6 for both ‘Take Care’ and ‘Nothing Was The Same’, and an 8.3 for ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’, though again, a mixtape), and it would be easy to call the past half-decade the beginning of a “fall-off” for Drake, and I wouldn’t blame anyone who did. Between the difficulties that come with maintaining a fresh sound through 15 years of 6 studio albums, 7 mixtapes, and 4 EPs, and the recent trend in the music culture to make albums as long as possible to take advantage of streaming platforms and numbers, listening to a Drake project all the way through can admittedly become harder and harder with each subsequent attempt. However, I’m not here to defend Drake’s discography. I’m here today to talk about Drake’s album intros, and hopefully by the end of this, show you why CLB is anything but uninspired (at least for the first 5 minutes and 36 seconds).
With that, let’s dive into the intros off each of the 6 studio albums, starting with ‘Fireworks’ off Drake’s 2010 Studio Debut ‘Thank Me Later’.
Fireworks is aptly named, starting the song and album with a literal bang as fireworks go off in the background of a piano melody so clean, they’re the second most beautiful “Keys” on the record.
“Money just changed everything
I wonder how life without it would go
From the concrete who knew that a flower would grow
Lookin' down from the top and it's crowded below
My fifteen minutes started an hour ago”
Coming off of the recent successes of So Far Gone and a signed deal with arguable GOAT rapper Lil Wayne, Drake immediately comes into this record letting us know how his life has changed as a result of the money and hard work. It’s only been a year since that mixtape’s
