someone asked here a little before what Ozzy thought of the Martin albums. And it was decided he hasn't really commented on them. But a memory just struck me. In the Christmas 1998 issue of Kerrang Magazine, they talked to a bunch of rock stars about their highest and lowest points of the previous year.
When asked about his lowest point of the year, Ozzy said without hesitation, his low point of that year was the loss of Cozy in an accident. He then went on to say that, although he never knew Cozy well, he was a great drummer, and he was one of Geezer and Tony's closest friends. Ozzy went on to mention that Cozy had drummed for Sabbath before the reunion, and was one of the people who had kept the band going, and his loss had really shaken the whole (current reunion) Sabbath tour, and made that year more difficult for them all.
Iommi also talked about him either in that issue or around the same time, and said that Cozy's enthusiasm and ideas had pretty much kept the band going during the Headless Cross era.

I thought it would have been production, but listening to him from the 1970s with Rainbow into the mid 1990s with Glenn Tipton, the sound is constant. Was it his kit?
