Scenario numero uno.
You are a career police officer & a reservist, you start working both jobs in 2000. In 2012 you are awarded the CD. Are you awarded you’re police exemplary service medal in 2020 or does your 12 years towards the CD rob you of that service period? If that’s the case, would you be awarded the exemplary service medal in 2032 or the time towards the CDII would disqualify those 10 years and you would have to release to actually get the medal?
Scenario numero deux.
You are a career police officer & a reservist, you start working both jobs in 2000. You release from the reserve in 2011 completing 11 years not being awarded the CD. In 2020 you’re awarded the police long service medal and you also reenlist. Would you need to do just 1 year or would you have to complete 12 to be eligible for the CD?
