Massive plot of land, the clear it, are leveling off and rerouting the water canal to make it a little more scenic, new bridge onto Military being build, I have seen no posters about it. What’s going on there? It’s not City of Boca so I don’t know where to look of zoning changes or applications for development.

I just saw my high school math teacher working at our regional variant of 711 (I graduated). He was at the sandwich-making counter. I was a bit surprised so I chatted him up and said "how are things at school going?"

"I'm not working there anymore." He said.

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"Don't be. I'm getting paid better, and the hours are a lot shorter and I'm less stressed."

"Huh? You're getting paid more here than you were to be a teacher?"

"Yep."

I stared at him in bewilderment, then he said, "Well it was nice seeing you. Stay safe."

I nodded and finished buying my stuff. What the legit fuck? Pay teachers more goddammit.

EDIT: I did some research looking at their job offers. $15.25 starting salary for the convenience store. $11.21 starting salary for my school, with potential to increase to $30,108/year after tenure.

This seems legit. A teacher in my state makes only $34,206 on average and I live in a small town so it's probably lower here.
