Last month I predicted that the CCP will only be able to mobilize their own minions and supporters, all 1.3 million of them, to vote in yesterday's sham election.
Sure enough, only 1.3m came out to vote for a record low 30.2% turnout, while the remaining 1.6m pro-democracy voters pretty much ignored the CCP and made the CCP look like utter idiots, despite the CCP's constant carrot-and-stick approach in desperately trying to drum up the turnout rate.
No matter how they spin it, the CCP are now in damage control mode now, coming up with all sorts of excuses, like "foreign interferences" to "people are very satisfied with the government" to explain away the record low turnout. But it was only just until yesterday that they were very desperate to have a high turnout to legitimize their sham election.
The numbers speak for themselves. The majority of Hongkongers who are yet unable to leave have REJECTED the CCP's sham elections and their oppressive and unjust rule of Hong Kong.
Much like how the Eastern Europeans bided their time during the Cold War, especially after the Hungarian Uprising and Prague Spring were crushed, Hongkongers may be oppressed and rendered helpless, but they will continue to passive-aggressively resist and bide their time at every opportunity to give the CCP a bloody nose.
Until in good time, the CCP is finally driven out of Hong Kong, if necessary, for years, if necessary, for decades.

If you’re struggling with this too I suggest you do the same! As a 30 year old woman, I used to be able to lay in bed for HOURS and waste half the day scrolling TikTok. Now I’m limited to one hour per day. It’s helped a lot!

A token claiming to assist in ethereum governance has been created (EGL token - Ethereum Gas Limit) and around 20% of the hash power of ETH has already signed up for this and are collecting these tokens, which threatens to disrupt the governance process of Ethereum and manipulate gas limit in favour of miners.
In regular process, the gas limit used on the network is voted on by miners in coordination w/ core devs. The miners can vote on the protocol’s gas limit. In regular course, the miners are incentivised to act in the best interests of the protocol and retain this governance. However, with proof of stake merge cutting miners out, they are now acting in selfish interest.
However, EGL now seeks to bribe miners to tokenize & sell this control to the market instead, ignoring due process. Such a proposal will never pass EIP process, but now due to greedy miners this attempt at power grab is being played out.
Miners are taking this step because of the upcoming proof of stake merge, that threatens to cut miners out of the picture. Hence, they are attempting to divest their control on the network in this fashion, by selling their governance out in collaboration with some rogue VC funds, and trying to seek rent on the governance process.
The Ethereum team must make it clear that they don’t endorse this EGL project. People buying this in the market are just helping rouge miners cash out and providing liquidity to bad actors.
This sub keeps fudding about Cardano's TPS despite Input Output trying to clarify why the parameter limits are kept low multiple times. The parameter limits are being deliberately kept low to avoid blockchain bloat and the system is designed to allow parameter changes very easily, without any hard fork update. Their plan is to monitor network saturation and increase parameters limits when there is much more usage than right now. This kind of network parameters management will eventually be handed over to stakeholder voters, but for now it is being handled by Input Output

Hi, For a project I am working on, I need an ‘on switch’ to turn on a mosfet to give power to a solenoid to make it extend. Then the solenoid arm will hit the ‘off switch’ to cut power and allow it to retract. Then I can hit the ‘on switch’ again to restart the cycle

Just got to Daito and Amanozako rejoined the party. I heard something about a quest with her so I looked it up online and apparently I need to go back to Shinagawa. The problem is, Amanozako is with me when I do that, and says she's getting "a bad feeling" and doesn't let me continue, even during a full moon (I know I need to fight her).
My last save before getting Amanozako is right after the Abdiel fight at Bethel's Summit or whatever, about an hour or so ago. Is there ever a point where she will leave my party after this, and I can go do that quest, or do I really need to reload my save?

Sure the proposal applies only to billionaires who have massive gains in their stock portfolios, but billionaires are not esoteric titles. Billionaires are people who can, if needed, move their physical location and avoid any U.S. tax on their wealth.
This is the same reason why corporations move the location of their home offices to countries with lower tax rates, a process called corporate inversion.
If Elon Musk, Warren Buffet or any other multi-billionaire wanted to avoid U.S. taxes on their personal wealth they can (relatively easily) change their official residence to Mexico or any other nation where the value of their yet unrealized wealth would not be taxed. That individual inversion process is an easily predictable unintended consequence.

Currently we use "Our Pact" to set some limits on our 14 year old's iPhone (se 2020).
Text messaging and phone calls is always left wide open. She messages us while she's at school or while she's at friends.
It would be nice though to have an app that allows you to set time limits per app, or restricted hours of use for individual apps.
My wife is fairly well versed with iOS, I on the other hand am more an Android person and just diving into iOS.

Hello! I’m trying to figure out how to unlock temp limit control on MSI Afterburner. I game on a Surface Studio 2 with a 1070 GPU and it typically runs around 85-90 degrees Celsius. I’m uncomfortable with that as I don’t want to damage my computer, so I wanted to set a limit of 70-75 degrees Celsius, but I can’t use the temp limit. Anyone know how to set that limit even using a different program?

I recommend the "max fan" script to unlock the fan full speed (kind of Turbo mode) and get the full potential of the CPU + GPU with custom vbios (see temperature in the gaming videos posted in this group)
