A list of puns related to "Condensed tannin"
turned out that by ceasing drinking black tea in the morning (and green tea in the evening but i think the main culprit is the black tea), my angular cheilitis has not returned for what feels like a month.
i have not been a life-long tea drinker and if i did drink it, it was sporadic. during this time, i never experienced anything remotely like angular cheilitis. then well into adulthood, i became a daily tea drinker and that's when i must've first encountered this condition which would come and go very frequently, like, every couple of days, which is not much relief at all. these cuts/splits would happen on either one side of my mouth or both sides simultaneously. so annoying.
reading up online, there is no mention of the potential cause being drinking teas frequently. but i think i made the connection because i thought these flare-ups might be occurring due to nutrient deficiency. i eat relatively healthily though. turns out black tea and other teas has tannins in it which block iron absorption.
at first i thought it was due to excess salt consumption but i didn't think i consumed more salt than the next person. then i thought, according to online literature, that it might be an active ingredient in toothpaste. i also thought it might be my lip balm stick spreading bacteria. then i thought it might be candida as suggested online. turned out it was none of those things!
i still like my tea but have resorted to drinking chamomile tea in the morning and evening but might have a black tea (sweetened with condensed milk) every now and then and 30mins-1hr after a meal as suggested online.
i'm so glad i've figured this out because it's not nice experiencing cuts in the corners of my mouth! this might help someone else. i was literally experiencing this for a couple of years, which is a long time!

Sorry for the bad photo.
Great House 2021: Immensely fruity. The primary notes are strawberry and watermelon candies. Secondary notes include marzipan, ripe pineapple, salted caramel, and glue. There are tertiary notes of herbal balms and natural vanilla.
Hampden 30 YO (1990): Similar to the 2021 Great House, except the fruit is a bit more acidulous, and it doesn't have the same richness (the secondary notes of salted caramel are mostly absent for instance). I also pick up on some passion fruit. There's a certain dry cereal note that pops up every so often. A bit of pepper. I get some charcuterie too.
Great House 2020: From having this spirit on its own, I know the nose isn't mild, but that's how it seems next to the other two. It doesn't carry the same fruity intensity. I do get some strawberry candy, but it's far from explosive in this head-to-head. However, it brings the most oaky richness.
Great House 2021: Upfront we get those same candy fruit note. Rich secondary notes of burnt sugars and tar. It's fantastic and intense, and although I don't find it very complex, I don't think I would want anything distracting from this fantastic fruity character.
Hampden 30 YO (1990): Again, I'm not finding this to be too different from the 2021. Think the same, except there's more tarriness and astringency. There's definitely some oaky tannins, which I think add some character. The oaky notes don't venture into the realm of mint tea that I personally don't like.
Great House 2020: Strawberry candy with rich oak, some salted caramel, and even some oak spice. There's a wave of heat towards the finish, which is not surprising as this is certainly the highest in ABV.
Great House 2021: It starts on herbal balms, then a slight astringency briefly hits, before hints of the candy fruit, but also white chocolate, return.
Hampden 30 YO (1990): Like the 2021, except without the white chocolate, and towards the end there are secondary notes of salami and cured meats.
Great House 2020: Salted caramel and strawberry candy.
I think all three bottles are fantastic. The 30 YO is the most complex, but not necessarily the best, as the fruity character (which I love) is competing with other notes at times. I think the Great House 2020 is clearly below the competit

My memory has been improved as I have made a spreadsheet, thanks to /u/CausticFish. I'm able to remember what I've used, my thoughts, and I've wrote them down as soon as I test them for MOST items. Again I apologize and understand how infuriating that can be. With my fragrance testing I go a la Britney Spears and consider myself in indie fragrances: not a beginner, not yet a master. I'm trying to be a better reviewer so I will list my grading criteria here so the numbers aren't seen as arbitrary. I rate on a scale of 10 because I'm picky lol and find 5 to be too restricting for me.
0/10-2.99/10: I strongly dislike this and wouldn't bother to even try it again. Would destash.
3/10-6.99/10: I don't like this but I don't dislike it. It's missing something. Would be fine with layering.
7/10-9/10: I like this and enjoy it a lot!
9.5/10-10/10: An absolute favorite. Couldn't ask for a better scent.
Kyse's Confit de Rose (Rose Absolute-Morocco, plum, red berries, creamy notes, a tiny bit of cocoa, and graham cracker), 2 ml sample: When I first sprayed it I got Doritos. Later in the car my mom got popcorn. I think the souriness of the plum is very amped up on me. I don't get any florals or creamy just sour and salty snacks. Which I don't really mind in a fragrance but I'd rather not be surprised by a floral scent. And boy does it last and have sillage. I feel bad for my coworkers and whoever I helped that day. 2/10. Possible dupes: Estate Carnation by Solstice Scents.
Sugar Milk Co's Buttermilk Pancakes (butter, vanilla, clove, maple syrup), 2 ml sample: A nice buttery scent. I mixed it with something but I couldn't really get anything else from it. Maybe a bit of sweetness from the maple syrup. A good layering scent but not really something I'd wear on it's own. 6/10. Possible dupes: Meowies No.1 by Astrid.
Sugar Milk Co's Peach Pie in the Sky (Yummy fresh roasted peaches are sweetened with maple syrup and a dash of cardamom!), 2 ml sample: Smells like roasted peaches with cinnamon. Doesn't go candle. Has decent sillage and great longevity. 7/10.
Sugar Milk Co's **Strawberry Milk (strawberry, whipped cream, milk

My interest in finishes is more holistic: I enjoy traditional oil painting, ceramics and sculpture, dabbled in gesso and gilding, but I also like woodworking, leatherwork, and restoring old furniture and old machinery. All of these realms have their own paints and finishes and glues, and there's a lot of overlap. What do you use to enamel a cast iron antique sewing machine? How does that relate to how you'd prime a copper panel? There's some similarities shared to be sure!
.
A guide to finishes: this whole thing is a question in the form of a statement.
.
My own understanding is from some books and forums like this and not a scientific background, so by all means suggest edits and revisions where I've got something wrong, and reaffirm where Iβve got it correct.
When itβs all vetted I may make it a more embellished illustrated guide, or even a decision tree based on application.
.
I continue to be frustrated, pardon the pun, at the relative opacity of the paint industry. What is an enamel, anyway? (rhetoricalβas far as I can decipher, itβs just a term for a hard and inflexible paint and more marketing than an objectively defined class of paints).Or, what is an epoxy? Near as I can tell, itβs always a 2-part cured resin, and commonly could be a urethane or an acrylic. One annoying marketing exception: saw a spray can of βappliance epoxyβ for $4 at the hardware store. If itβs in a spray can, itβs not an epoxy if weβre going by the 2-part definitionβ¦ sigh. See what I mean about the confusion in labeling?
.
Iβm trying to break it down logically for myself to de-mystify the field, and then to share with others when edited and corrected. Iβd like to understand, for example, the difference between a $40 can of alkyd-modified oil paint at home depot and a $120 can of alkyd-modified oil paint at Sherwin Williams. Are there more solids in the latter, longer molecular chains, expensive additives for UV resistance, something tangible? I donβt know, and the salesmen can never tell me either. There are artist-grade alkyd oil paints: are these compatible with the housepaint cans? If not, well, why not? Specifically why not?
Iβd like to strike the balance to learning enough to be an informed consumer and user of these materials, without needing an 8 year Ph.D. in petroleum engineering and organic chemistry. BUT: Iβm open to educating myself if you point me in the right direct
... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I guess the concept didn't work
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC

Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub

Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
