A list of puns related to "Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada"
Itβs annoying to me that reclaiming the U.K. and completing Return of the King feels like youβre shooting yourself in the foot. Canada by that point is really built up and possibly has had American territory added to it, so becoming the smashed up UK feels like youβre giving up every thing youβve done. However, staying as Canada feels lame too, because youβve spent so much time getting the UK. Letting it go to become the U.K. also means you lose all the factories and resources of the country.
I propose there should be alternate resolution, where you make an Act of Union and unite Canada into the United Kingdom. Basically, Canadaβs name would just change to United Kingdom and you would keep every thing as one country. Youβd get an extra focus branch for fixing up Britain, but youβd keep the rest of the Canadian tree. After all, it deals with colonial relations and foreign policy like the United Kingdom should be doing besides just fixing up the country.
EDIT: The flavor text I would have for this: After everything we have gone through, Canada is just as British as Wales or Scotland. Draw up the Act of Union!
The research commissioned last month by Streamr, and carried out by our friends at Wilsome, was designed to shed a light on the publicβs general attitudes to data ownership, data privacy and data monetisation, all of which can help Streamr understand what would compel the average person to join a Data Union.
To recap, Wilsome spoke to 21 men and women from around the world, categorised as βtech-confidentβ Early Adopters and the βslightly behind the curve when it comes to new technologyβ group, the Early Majority. The Early Adopter and Early Majority categories are key audiences in the lifecycle of a tech offering that can mean the difference between muted interest and mass adoption. More about these audiences is covered in this interesting Ted Talk by Simon Sinek:

Wilsomeβs research uncovered several key learnings that Streamr must utilise to shape the Marketing & Communications strategy around Data Unions. These are that, when it comes to the lack of individual data ownership:
If you havenβt already, do read that blog in order to take a deeper dive into the specifics. We found the research project enlightening on the whole, and the conclusion pointed to a solid endorsement for Data Unions (βwhen they become aware of a solution, they like itβ).
So this is the moment at which the Streamr Marketing & Comms team could choose to congratulate ourselves over the fact that the majority of our instincts have been correct when it comes to building out Data Unions. Our decision last year to prioritise Data Unions, with the launch of Swash and the live Data Union at Mozfest, tapped into a general move that individuals are making towards data ownership and monetisation. Weβve also seen organic adoption of Data U

> Trump said "Illegal crossings" at the southwest border "Are down 75% since May." But total apprehensions in 2019 were 81% higher than in 2016, the year before Trump took office.
> Trump delivered the State of the Union on Feb. 4, a day before the Senate is expected to acquit him in the impeachment trial and nine months before the presidential election.
> Trump claimed too much credit for that when he claimed this wouldn't be true "If we hadn't reversed the failed economic policies of the previous administration." The fact is, the jobless rate was down to 4.7% by the time Trump took office - well below the historical norm of 5.6%, which is the median monthly rate for all the months since the start of 1948.
> As we wrote recently in "Trump's Numbers January 2020 Update," stock prices continued their decade-long rise with Trump in office.
> Trump said "Illegal crossings" at the southwest border "Are down 75% since May." But measured over a longer period of time, border apprehensions under Trump are up, not down.
> As we wrote in "Trump's Numbers January 2020 Update," there were 799,669 total apprehensions at the southern border in 2019, the highest annual total since 2007 and 81% higher than in 2016, the year before Trump took office.

As most history buffs know, Germany was heavily bombing and cutting off supplies to Britain through most of the Second World War. What so many people don't know is that Canadians donated and helped send over 50 million quarts of powdered milk to British children (and even some adults) that badly needed the nutrition and nourishment that the milk could provide.
Over the course of 7 years, from 1941 until 1948, Kin Canada raised over $30 million in today's dollars. Again, that bought over 50 million quarts of milk. Yet, no one today seems to know the story.
Kin has been working with Learnography (Curriculum Services Canada) to create a documentary about Milk for Britain, after club members raised over $50,000 for its production. The documentary will be available to the public after release (through YouTube), and we are hoping to get it into schools so more Canadians can know about the fantastic things that their ancestors did during WWII!
You can find a brief overview of the story on our website at this link: https://www.kincanada.ca/blog/the-milk-for-britain-story-part-1-a-canadian-response
Today, Kin is still doing some great work. We've contributed over $40 million to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, as well as other medical research and care initiatives and smaller community projects.
Any other questions about all of the fascinating aspects of this story (there are so many little stories that all started and are based around this huge campaign), or about Kin in general, feel free to ask away! I will be available throughout the weekend to respond to any of your questions.
Why would they do this? Aren't we supposed to be brothers in Syndicalism? What reason would they have to try and annex syndicalist canada after I overthrew the british monarchy in exile? I even helped them defeat germany and this is the thanks I get

I am currently conducting online research to investigate the potential role impulsive behaviours and personality traits play in developing and maintaining smoking patterns. We are also looking for non-smokers to participate in the study to compare differences between multiple target samples of the population.
Participation for non-smokers will take 20-30 minutes
Participation for smokers will take 30-45 minutes, due to a few extra questions asking you about your smoking patterns.
