For those that have gone to the Cellar and had someone pop in to do a surprise set ... does that usually happen at the end of the night? or is it really any random time? I was supposed to go yesterday for Vir Das and apparently two of our other favorite comedians did a set (Kevin Hart and Aziz) ... so definitely a bit upset haha ... but yea just curious if typically they go on at the end of the night or really any random time!
Anyone have a favorite between the Comedy Cellar, Village Underground and Fat Black Pussycat? I know the maximum for groups is 8 people and we’d probably have that many.

I’m 27M recently moved to the city and would love some company tomorrow night at the Comedy Cellar. This will be my first time at the Cellar to watch one of my favorite comedians and I’m very excited.
Mark Normand, Matt Ruby, and Gary Vider will be the comedians performing for the 10:30 show.
There’s a $14 cover charge and two item minimum (not necessary alcoholic). Proof of vaccination needed. The show is 21+ (according to their website, not sure how strict it is).
I’ve already made a reservation for two but can make more reservation if more people are interested.

We are planning a trip next months and need to make reservations. Is there a slot that has more drop-ins or is more reliably full of known faces? I’m a comedy fan and am happy to see anyone but my gf is more interested in the possibility of celebrity in the room. So, Fat Black Pussycat, Village Underground, or MacDougal Street? 7:30, 9:30, or 11:30?
I was at the upstairs new material lounge , some decent comedians and than randomly Chrissy Chaos came up and did like 10-15 he was good , one Hyenas fan hollered out at him

I’m not sure whether he actually got banned or if it was just threatened and for how long. I’d also like to know the date roughly this happened. Obviously before Manny died in 2004 but I don’t know if this was before Tough Crowd
