Koreans stabbing each other in the back of Korean community and toxic culture in immigration society in North America

I am not sure if there are 1.5 generation immigrant in this sub. But, from as long as I can remember, I witnessed the toxic nature of the immigrant society internally, which happens throughout the North America.

For example, in Korean immigrant community, they gather up using patriotism and flags ceremony and all what not thru church or association. But, at the bottom, when they gather up, they play petty politics, and do backstabbing and gossiping. Tbh, they just gather up just to make connections and grab information, and once they are well established, they cut connections off. Also, it is commonly known that Koreans try to commit fraud on each other, especially to new comers in foreign countries.

I see the true cause of this issue.

Lack of English proficiency and lack of mindset of actively learning the culture of the host country render them to keep to themselves isolated in the community, which creates drama all the time.

It is widely known that Koreans in North America always try to communicate in English, to block off the hierarchial culture prevalent in the population; as preemptive measure to shut off any drama.

To be frank, I must acknowledge that in North American Korean immigrant community, there are always fighting and quarrels. I think it is very toxic that they fuck up each other and if they need to form the group using all good values, so that they can unlease the suppressed inner demon.

If anyone reading this as a Korean new comer, I advise you to do the following; especially in schools

  1. Learn English
  2. Learn the administrative, banking, legal, and healthcare system on your own.
  3. Try to avoid the church
  4. Try to avoid the group of Koreans
  5. Be cautious with broker, international student agency, sales, and real-estate, insurance, and bank
  6. Do your own research

Significant portions of crime in Korean community is fraud. And fraudster are afraid of legal system so they want to build rapport first using identity appeal.

If they are going to just use identity appeal for self-gain while frauding the fellow nationals, and this do not apply only in Koreans, it is healthy to do deal with the others.

Hell, my driver instructor was from Pakistan, and although I may have heard alleged negative stereotype, he was way better than this fogey-old Korean who cannot communicate for jackshit.

Edit: i will see to it first, I sincerely hope the fraud in my ethnic community decrease over time and I can gain back trust and trauma heale

Do you guys believe that women in 1st world countries(EUrope/North America) are still below or unequal to the opposite gender by Law, Society, and Culture? Making this for a debate/presentation next week. Wanna hear some opinions.

And is it okay for these women (1st world countries) to compare their problems with 3rd world country problems?

I ask this one because I've seen lots of women I know saying "They are killing us, Men are killing us" then when asked Why, They talk about " Women in africa, south Asia are getting raped and mutilated and it's acceptable in their culture" while they are safe, living comfortably and partying every weekend.. Just curious about people's opinion on this..

Also wanna add

How are your guys' view on men sexualizing breasts? Is it okay for men to be attracted to breasts? Are there any hypocrisy if women are allowed to sexualize vascularity, deep voice, and facial hair.. when all things mentioned above are considered secondary sexual organs/characteristics.

While the ideas and intent are both there and worth considering, left wing North America fail with marketing and branding in a society where everything is about marketing and branding.

Abolish prisons, defund the police, Etc. It’s not very appealing on first glance. And it is not entirely the fault of Americans, Canadians and I suppose British people alike to not further research into the ideas behind them in which do not seem to be as bad as the slogan. There’s a reason why β€œMake America Great Again” is so popular. It gets straight to the point, and has a feeling of dominance and promise. Lots of left wing ideologues and activists won’t simply own up to the fact that they have terrible marketing. They get a sense of self righteousness when others won’t work as hard as them to research ideas but frankly, tough shit. What people see is an unorganized movement who may or may not be as radical as the media makes them ought to be and are very very easily made as bate for right wing conspiracies and overall criticism. Some obviously choose to ignore any facts about the actual meanings of these slogans but for the casual political person, it can push them away.
