A list of puns related to "Codemasters"
Personally, I think they should add Mark Webber, Kimi Raikkonen (even though heโs only just retired, still a legend), Niki Lauda, Mika Hakkinen and Nigel Mansell. This is my own list, and I think itโs a solid one. Whatโs your list?
So annoying when you just lose a little bit of end plate from a slight touch and the game acts like you've got no wing at all. Hamilton last night was setting fastest lap with the whole thing hanging off. Just wish that was reflected in the game. If I remember correctly Leclerc also said that in the F1 games the downforce loss is greatly exaggerated.

Watching Jarno at Zandvoort and attempting to replicate this lap (but then on a stock G29 wheel and pedals, no mods). In game setup is similar to his.
How can he attack (some) corners so aggressively, often with just engine braking, without even the minimum amount of understeer on exit ? The car is literally glued to the track, he's straight up accelerating past the apex !
I drive without assists but replicating his approach sends me into wild understeer. I have to brake a little to avoid it, but then I lose 1,5+ seconds a lap.
How do I improve ? How much is just better gear ?
Whoever decided it was a good idea to get rid of the bit of code that tells AI cars on out/in laps to move out of the way when a player car is on a fast lap: yeah, that person needs firing. What makes it worse: they move out of the way for other AI carsโฆ
Well, this had certainly given me something to look forward to every month. A massive learning curve, with 12 punishing rally locations and very few chances to repair my poor Peugeot 208 T16.
The final rally being 12 stages of Poland, with no service stops...
I had some highs and lows, with my worst mistake loading a time trial setup without any spare tires. Having to limp through three stages of USA in the dark with only two good wheels was a real challenge.
Congratulations to anyone that finished!
WHY THE FUCK IS THE SINGLEPLAYER PART OF DIRT 2 DEPENDANT ON A CONNECTION? IF YOURE GONNA MAKE IT LIKE THAT AT LEAST MAINTAIN THE FUCKING SERVERS.... WHAT A BRAINDEAD DEV TEAM
Fresh job listing haul folks. Don't know what we're in for exactly but here's what the situation looks like.
The job description of the Development Manager on Codemasters' website says, โ Under the guidance of the Development Director and with support from the production team, you will help handle production of the studiosโ next key project โ which promises to be the most ambitious and biggest game that Codemasters has made in over a decade!โ
In addition, the Senior Manager for Engineering job's description reads, "The team have been hard at work supporting Dirt 5 since its launch with plenty of additional content and as this starts coming to an end, we are already hard at work concepting the next AAA project.โ
Could we be looking at a follow-up game for DIRT or will this be entirely something else? What do you think?
This new F1 car in iRacing actually has that same feel, though substantially better. It's finally the experience I was trying to find outside of the mainstream games, the car just... feels right. Though where the Codemaster's games have been absolutely abysmal as far as online multiplayer goes with randoms, iRacing has the potential to make up for that. Possibly be the definitive F1 online experience.
Also my first race in the car at Spa I started 13th, finished 3rd. Out of 22 cars, only 5 survived til the end. Crashes come at you FAST. And doing that in VR is absolutely nuts. Such a thrill. I'm loving this thing. I feel like they've nailed it.
Anyone else just having an amazing and chaotic time? :)
I donโt care what everyone says, iโm actually concerned about codemasters making wrc games from 2023. Ok, for sure it will be better on graphics and sound, but what about physics? I jumped back to dr2 after 3 months on wrc 10 and wow, i really donโt understand how people can say that dr 2 has better physics than 10. Even on gravel i think 10 beats dr2. I can feel the weight of the car much more and the grip surface. People talk about realism but on dr2 you can do 250/300 km/h straights for 2 minutes, 360s and crazy stuff like this without crashing, thatโs not going to happen on 10, you will most likely loose control of the car even if youโre a pretty skilled player. I think i will miss the ktracing days.

As an option for the next game.
After playing Moto GP20 I realize that would be a sweet option and help with a more immersive style racing imo
